American AirFlow LLC
We hired American Airflow to look at our humidifier and they pointed out several issues with our system that were defunct. The humidistat from the previous installer was located in a place where it was not properly reading our homes humidity, the water source was tapped off the cold water supply reducing the system’s efficiency and the solenoid was not opening. American Airflow quoted us with 2 solutions for repair and replace and because of our units design and position we opted for replacement. The work was scheduled within the same week and was prompted completed in about 3 hours. American Airflow installed a new digital humidistat at the proper location in the duct work, tapped off the hot water supply to improve efficiency, replaced some duct work replaced the drain line, installed an outside humidity probe and of course a new humidifier. The quality of the work and pride that the technician took in it was extremely impressive. After having the unit running now for a few days we have noticed an improvement in how our home holds heat, our furnace does not turn on as often. We will be considering American Airflow for our future heating and cooling needs and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have work done in their home and looking for the work to be done right.

I had my heat and ac maintenance done by them, as well as I added a humidifier to my house because my nose was so dry every morning from the heat blowing constantly. I thought it went fine until this morning. I found a water leak coming from my furnace. I called my home warranty company who dispatched a local company. Found a piece of electrical tape had been placed over the hole where my condenser should have been draining. No one has touched my furnace since Pipe Works and that should have been caught during maintenance check. My condenser hose was also completely clogged and leaking. Also should have been caught during the maintenance. I paid Pipe Works over $1,300. I feel like I was robbed and will be filing complaint with BBB.

Super Service Award Recent Review: Hired them for servicing furnace Trane XL80 @15-20 year old . The furnace was making some rattling noise lately and their technician recommended replacing blower assembly. cost 795$ plus tax. I also inquired about whole house humidifier. I was quoted 650$ +tax for humidifier and 125$ +tax for condensate pump that will discharge the condensate to sump. I let them do all the above, I did not shop around. They were the first from Angies and I trusted Angies.. Their tech was professional and punctual. All work was done same day. The new blower assembly ran fine for few hours and then started making chirping sound. I called them back and they promptly send another tech, he tightened some bolts and the sound was gone only to return after few hours. I called back and this time the owner came. He recommended cutting more returns would give more air to the furnace and that would fix the noise plus the furnace was old. He wanted 90$ per hour for the labor. I opted out, since the old blower assembly never made that chirping noise and it had only started rattling lately and I see plenty of returns for the intake in the house. I give them a B, because after looking at some other competitors , I believe the price was on the upside, and I was not fully satisfied with the work. I give them A for professionalism.
