Precision Overhead Garage Door Service
We had been looking to do a garage door repair for several years. After an unfortunate experience with another Angi service provider (see our other reviews if you want to read the details), we ended up delaying our project for several years. Fast forward to early 2020 and our garage doors were in pretty bad shape - possibly even dangerous. We came back to Angie's List and started the process again. We met with Precision to go over the repair options, and then after seeing the (high) cost, we decided to look at biting the bullet and replacing the doors. This option was far more money, but we decided it made sense given the age of the doors. Precision was not cheap, but did an excellent job, and showed up when they were supposed to, and were easy to work with, even given Covid. Please understand that Precision is not the low cost provider. However, they are easy to work with, do an excellent job, and provide an all around great service. After 1.5 years we are still quite pleased with the work done, and are glad we made the decision to work with these folks.

Jimmy's Garage Door Service
I left a message with this service on Saturday and my call was returned within minutes. An appt was scheduled for Monday to repair my garage door. The technician arrived on time, reviewed what needed to be done and provided a quote for the repair, which I agreed to. The garage door was repaired, along with tuning up, tightening and lubricating all the parts of the garage door. The garage door is now repair and much quieter too!

The 2nd issue identified was not urgent and the technician did not do any hard sell for the repair, just stated the facts and the cost. Recent Review: I contacted City Suburb Inc around early October for an evaluation of the work needed. Out of four different contractors, they gave the best pricing and estimated hours of work to completion. It was a little difficult to schedule the work at first, since it was busy season and they had other work pending but the owner was friendly and we worked it out. Once the date was nailed down, everything happened very quickly. They came promptly every morning for five days straight, including on rainy days to get everything done on time. It's been a few months now and I haven't had any problem. My garage stays bone dry. City Suburb was also kind enough to come back at the beginning of spring, well after the initial job completed, to help us with some minor repairs that we discussed free of charge as a favor. This was to repair a broken piece of flashing and replace a few broken tiles on our roof.

Recent Review: I booked the $79.00 tuneup special with Amos and it was seamless. He was prompt and extremely thorough. He did a far more comprehensive check than anyone has ever done, tightening every nut and bolt on the inside of the door. He checked the cables and pulleys. Amos stated that my garage door was in very good shape. He did not try to sell me unnecessary services, but did make a couple of recommendations, stressing that there was no need to make repairs too quickly. He was also pleasant and very respectful. I am going to go ahead with his recommendation (replace both pulleys and a frayed cable) and will call on him to return in the near future.

Recent Review: If you want to see how amazing the work Promaster did swing by Shape of Lies on East 7th Street, NYC and take a gander at my beautiful antique wrought iron door and automatic window grill. No one in the NYC area would take on this job or even give an estimate. Once designed it was completed in a day and a half. Nivin even repaired two missing pieces of iron at no charge! Complicated jobs always have issues. What impressive me most was how Nivin & Ercole redid or changed whatever was needed right away with a sincere effort to help, smiles and good humor. Absolutely wonderful people to work with. Working with Levi at Promaster & Ilona at Demolition Depot together was the most fun I've had in years. Only wish I had another spot for more wrought iron! We had an incredibly good experience with Precision Garage Door this week. Our garage door separated from the track and the supports broke loose from the wall of our garage. I called Precision and then sent a technician, Danny Salas, to our home to repair the door. He was excellent and fixed the door in no time. He was courteous and very efficient. We could not be happier with his work. Even better, Precision reminded me that they had done work on our garage door in 2017 and they covered the entire repair under their warranty from that previous call. Excellent experience all around! We too are customers for life!
