Quality 1st Basement Systems
These guys cost a bit more, but I'm very happy with the quality of the products & the installation. We got a crawl space encapsulation & the "Triple Pump" sump pump. The crawl space is dry & clean. The sump pump is doing what it should. I think you get what you pay for, so its good to go with a company with their level of experience.

Joe and his team did a fantastic job. Joe was incredibly thorough and thoughtful throughout the whole process. At his first visit, he took precise measurements, and asked us to get someone out to scope our existing drains. He come out for that appointment as well, so he could really understand what was going on. After that he sent over a very thoughtful proposal for addressing the issues, which came in well below what we expected to pay. His team finished the whole job in 2 days, and were very considerate in keeping things clean throughout.

Pat and his team were incredibly thorough and professional. He arrived at our house on time to provide us with a prompt and thorough estimate for the work we needed after severe basement flooding from Hurricane Sandy, answering all of our questions and giving appropriate, helpful information with a manner that showed both expertise and great customer service. We never felt pushed to agree to more than we wanted, and Pat had no problem talking to us about a range of options. Once we decided to use Leinster, Pat was able to schedule the work quickly. He and his crew showed up right on time and conducted a walk through with us to insure everyone understood the work to be done. All paperwork was provided in good order with the details we'd discussed during the estimate properly recorded. Some of the basement was still partially covered with an old tin ceiling and partition walls that didn't show 100% of the asbestos insulation or damage, but no surprises came up during the removal and a bit extra pipe insulation that was under the ceiling was taken care of as part of the job's scope. The areas were well sealed and work was done quickly, efficiently and surprisingly quietly, though there was a lot to be removed. Pat kept us updated as work progressed and had us check the areas when appropriate/safe. The whole job was completed within about 6 hours. We are incredibly happy to have found such a professional, scrupulous and courteous contractor who did the great job he promised, and provided us with the relief of a clean, safe basement.

We used them and they were great. I did not like how it looked, but they came back and fixed it. It does not smell any more so that is good. They came out fast to fix it.

Quality 1st Basement Systems
It went very well. They first removed all water from crawl space (there was about 4 inches of water). They encapsulated the entire crawl space and put in two sump pumps and a dehumidifier. . To date our crawl space remains dry and we are very satisfied. They did the work in a fast andprofessional manner

Well , overall. It was fair for the price paid. I just thought it was going to be a more complete encapsulation based on the picture shown on the Angie’s List advertising. Customer Service from Marty’s in Angie’s List and from Mr. Garcia was really good. I can see Mr. Garcia because at times he would take a while to get back to me. I wished he could come over once before the project was completed, just to go over the details. Again, I wish more work was done, but , for the price paid it’s a fair deal.

Quality 1st Basement Systems
When we bought this home, it was a dry period at the end of the summer and our inspection noted water stains on the exposed footing in one of our crawl spaces. He suggested it was a grading issue which we addressed with a landscaping company. However that didn?t alleviate the puddles forming after heavy rains in the crawl space. I realized we would have to water proof it so that I could get piece of mind. I called in 3 companies, 2 wanted to do French drains inside leading to a sump pump. A method I was familiar with from a prior basement waterproofing. I was very skeptical when Jeff Nero a design consultant for Quality 1st came to explain the encapsulation concept of water control. Jeff got into the space and looked over every area of my concern, coming up with a suggested solution. After answering all of my concerns and questions, Jeff had convinced me this was what i needed for my problem. I would be encapsulating the space with their system AND they would be insulating the entire space to an R11 value. Before water proofing became an issue this insulation was going to be a separate project and done by another company; but was all part of the Quality 1st crawl space system. Not only did I do that space but also did the other crawl space that didn't have water but was in need of insulation and seal up. It was prepared the same as the other area but without a sump pump. If water ever got into that space all we would need is to have them install the pump. 2 spaces handled for less than the cost of one space with French drains. I was AMAZED! The crew showed up on time, prepared the area in the basement for dust protection and went to work on the 2 areas simultaneously. By 4:30 they were finished and wow, did those crawl spaces look clean, bright and well insulated. This encapsulation method has allowed me to open up the crawl spaces to the rest of the basement to allow them to become the same temperatureas the main basement area. The floors above those areas are warmer making the rooms warmer. Because of this waterproofing method I don?t feel like an obsessed man constantly looking at accumulating water and you know how that feels if you are dealing with water. I?d recommend their system for crawl spaces and am considering their patented basement finishing system too.

Healthy Way Waterproofing & Mold Remediation LLC
Thomas fallon came to my house with the sales pitch--he said they would get rid of my mold, set up a 6 mil plastic containment area to exit the home, take down all old insulation, put up new insulation, paint the cinder block walls and joists with a sealer so mold wouldn't return, and encapsulate the floor with a 14 mil thick plastic for $10,500. he directed me to watch a youtube video which shows their staff with professional uniforms spraying a white paint. The day scheduled came and it was not their staff but a subcontracted company that installed outdoor stereos. they were unaware of the containment area to be set up and had to call healthy way to see what I was talking about. they ended up setting it up but not at all the way Thomas said they would. they just put it out the window instead of through the hallway, which was important as my wife was getting sick from the stuff.. they took all the old insulation right out the front door with no containment which was SPECIFICLLY promised. then they are ready to leave without doing the floor or an extra 500 square feet of insulation which I paid $500 extra for. when I called the owner--Robert Lafrank--he told me I was never promised either one of these and to read my contract TOO BAD!! he said he would do the floor for an extra $2500 which he said was his cost and he was doing me a favor, but when I checked with several other companies they said $2500 also so it was no favor. then at the last part of the job they were supposed to do mold tests in 4 spots which was in the original proposal, but then they changed it to 3 on the final contract--also they had sent me 4 different contracts to e-sign which they kept changing along the way. they did end up doing the 4 after I complained and they gave me a $250 credit for not finishing the insulation--I did want a credit, I wanted them to finish!!. this is the worst contractor experience I have ever had period!! they are completely unprofessional, deceiving and nasty. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. I now have to hire another person to do the floor encapsulation and feel I was totally ripped off!!--also I will never go to angies list again if this is the kind of people you recomend

Quality 1st Basement Systems
Truly professional from the initial consultation/estimate with Ken Peare through the final completion of the project. The Foreman Jonathan Neira and his crew were hard working, polite and respectful from beginning to end. Jonathan and the crew went above and beyond to make sure the job was done correctly and in a timely manner. I believe Jonathan was honest with me in suggesting some necessary additional work after the debris removal in the crawl space uncovered some more issues. Jonathan consistently checked the inside of the house in tandem with the work being done under the house to make sure the Smart Jacks were working as expected. The entire office staff, Ken, Jonathan, and the crew were great to work with and made this somewhat stressful project a very positive experience. I highly recommend Quality 1st Basement!

They did an excellent job, as attested to by an independent inspector. They showed up on time, were professional, quick to respond to questions, took care of issues that were encountered above my expectation. It was a very messy job but they left my house in excellent condition. I would recommend them & would rehire them in a second.

Jersey Shore Crawl Space & Pest Control
We can’t say enough about the quality of services, the costs and the professionalism of representatives that work for Jersey Shore Crawl Space and pest control. We had our entire crawlspace in capsulated and also installed a sump pump and a dehumidifier . The cost was extremely reasonable we were very impressed at how much lower our heating and cooling bill was. They installed an additional vent and also replaced our crawlspace door. We appreciated all the recommendations by the evaluations by the Manager Jon. One thing we love is for a small fee, JSCS comes to our home on a quarterly basis, (within a years time), and evaluates on how things are operating. It’s always nice to see Jon the Manager. Jon is very intelligent, professional and has a fun personality. They are all a lovely employees and Molly who multi-tasks always schedules around our needs. We HIGHLY recommend them in a heartbeat! You will not regret it!

Crawlspace Solutions LLC
CrawlSpace Solutions was great. I had 2 other waterproofing companies come by and quote me for a full waterproofing experience - sump pumps, french drains… When the owner of Crawlspace solutions came, he told me that the sump pump would not help with the water problem because the water was coming from high tied (I’m very close to the beach). He said that if I were to install a sump pump, it would be running all of the time, resulting in humongous electric bills, and I would not handle the problem,. Then he advised me to get close cell insulation in the crawl space to stop the humidity coming to the rest of the house, and recommended another company to do that job. I was impressed with his honestly. He dealt with me as if he was recommending advice to his best friend. He came back another time to make sure that I did not have mold in the crawl space…and all of this for free! This guy gives excellent service, and I would recommend him to anyone 110%!

Recent Review: A week after I signed the contract, the United Waterproofing crew came and removed the old pump, dug up and enlarged the pit, installed a new pump and a battery back-up pump, and redirected the discharge line. The crew was professional, courteous, and completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up the crawl space after. The pumps have been working flawlessly ever since -- a big relief given that weather has been fairly on the wet side. United Waterproofing did an outstanding job and the price was reasonable (actually a few hundred dollars cheaper than another quote from a much larger, well-known company). I would definitely hire UW again.

Recent Review: Everyone on the crew was extremely nice and they all knew what jobs they had to complete. They worked as a team and did quality work. The attic was very hot without insulation and they worked hard up there. I am pleased with the job they did and believe they are very honest people. The only minor issue I had was during the initial estimate. There were some inconsistencies that came up with what I knew to be necessary components of the job, but these were all cleared up when I spoke to the manager, Shawn. Shawn did a great job explaining every step of the process and what I was paying for, he assured me of the quality of the workmanship, and made sure I was pleased throughout the process. The entrance to my crawlspace is a bit tricky and there was a minor accident to a water pipe and Shawn and his team came right over to diagnose the problem, they gave me really good plumbing advice and found a solution to the issue. They are really honest people and want to make sure their customers are pleased with their work. I would not hesitate to refer them, they are fast and efficient and care about their customers. I cannot say enough about how Shawn manages his team, he is very pleasant.

Recent Review: Overall great service! Highly recommended! Franco provided excellent service right from beginning. There was a minor rain water seepage and noticeable calcification. Franco and his team installed new French gutters and sump pumps. In general, work was completed as scheduled and I was provided update on every step.

Recent Review: Very hard working staff of 2. Original plan was to do crawl space as well but I didn't to save money at least now. The staff, however, looked skeptical because of the height of the jack hammer (reason the work bench was the problem.) They were timely, worked extremely hard and got the job done in less time than anticipated. They were reasonably clean.

Recent Review: Affordable waterproofing did work on our house for the previous owner. They finished the job leaving holes in the outside wall at ground level - leaving water to enter into the basement walls. They told us this was done by request of the previous owner. We called them to come back to fix this and add window wells. They seemed very cordial and responsive. The day the job was scheduled they never showed. I called them and they apologized and blamed it on miscommunication. The job was rescheduled and they still did not show up. After this add was posted they showed up at our house unannounced. They completed the job. Fixing the holes at no additional cost, thereby, sticking to their warranty.

Recent Review: The JAD Basement Systems representative arrived promptly at the time we had scheduled. He was courteous and professional. After a thorough evaluation of the basement water intrusion problem, the recommended solution was installation of a basement drainage system with sump pump. That would involve digging two trenches in the concrete floor along the south and east walls of the basement, installing a drainage system, and installing a sump pump near the north-east corner of the basement. We would have had to clear a 4 ft. wide path along that route to allow room for the installers to dig the trenches and install the drainage system. We would have been responsible for dust clean-up and replacement of items moved from the work path. The estimate for the recommended solution was $5145. We chose not to have the system installed because ours is a very old house and, although we felt their price was fair, we did not want to spend that much money. We also thought that the solution was a bit of "overkill" for the size of the problem. Unfortunately, no other possible solutions were offered such as sealing interior and exterior walls and/or sealing the adjacent driveway. Although we didn't have the work done, we do not hesitate to recommend this company for serious consideration by those who have a need for the type of basement drainage solution offered by this firm.

Recent Review: Called them when home remedies didn't work. They came as scheduled and spent the better part of the day heating the house to 160' to kill the mites, which are extremely hard to kill. It took three treatments to eliminate the mites, expensive, but worth every penny.
