I set this service call up stating this was to address a non-performing tankless water heater and that whoever was sent needed to be well versed and trained with tankless heaters. The person arrived within the timeframe stated. When he got to the tankless it was immediately obvious he didn't know what to do. He fumbled around and did a couple of things and then stated "That isn't the problem." He did that a couple of times. I advised that I didn't need to know what the problem wasn't but rather what the problem was and how to correct it. I left the room for a few minutes and when I returned he was on the phone to someone. He advised that the error code indicated three problems. Ultimately I checked the manufacture's website and found that what he was referring to wasn't an error code at all but an alarm status. He advised the heater needed to be cleaned/descaled but he couldn't do that. Wait, he was sent to fix a tankless heater and he couldn't descale it. He wanted me to pay $90 for him doing nothing. I called MidStates Heating & Air and the person who showed up was from Alpha and Omega Heating & Air. I had not used either company before and won't use either again. I need a company to send someone who is knowledgeable, trained and can fix the problem, not tell me what the problem isn't and someone else will come out. No one from either company ever called

The technicians have always been great. They diagnosed the problem (water wouldn't stay hot) and saw it was a faulty valve. They ordered the part and told me that John Braun would be installing. I called and asked about installation and was told that either dispatch would call me to schedule or the CSR would. After 24 hours, I called again with the CSR telling me that he personally would call me within the day when I asked. On day 3, a Saturday, I spoke with Nisha, who told me no prior notes were in the system but took it upon herself to not only track down the part but schedule John to come out first thing Monday morning. John showed up, was extremely helpful in explaining, professional and replaced the valve

With regard to the plumbing work, everything went well with the installation. They came promptly on a Saturday, had the right tank heater with them, and rapidly replaced the broken heater and hauled off the old one. The new heater is working great. The price was a little high relative to other companies, but given the fast response on a weekend, it was just about worth it. Overall, I was very pleased with their work. However: the reason for my low score (C) in professionalism is that from start to finish, the Lee Co. plumbers kept trying to get me to buy a tankless water heater ( 4x more expensive than a tank heater), with a very hard sell. I had fortunately just read in Consumer Reports (October '08) that tankless water heaters are not a good value and may not perform as well as tank heaters, particularly with the hard water that we have. Nevertheless, I kept being told that I should get a tankless heater, even after I had politely declined and pointed out the article

Needed to get gas lines installed for new stove, dryer, and water heater. They ran all the new gas lines, upgraded the pipes and got the permits for gas meter replacement. They also replaced my 80gal electric water heater with a tankless system. This took about 2 days, but each day they restored all services so that we were not without. Great job

I had the EcoSmart tankless water heater installed in March 2015 after hearing how much a friend mine saved on his electric bills and what great, professional service he had experienced with Todd. Though it is hard to tell how much money I have really saved, with electricity costs constantly changing, I do know that I am using on average about 50 kWh a month since the tankless heater has been in place. Initially, I was using hundreds of hours as the standing water tank was a real electricity eater. The reduction in electric usage is important to me, and in talking to someone about the heater, I likened having a traditional heater to keeping a pot boiling on the stove all day, which we know is wasteful. I like the concept of the tankless heater and its on demand principle, too. It just makes sense. Todd Sharp is both smart and honest. He fully explained my options for heater replacement on his first visit, and did not try to sell me on anything. I had three estimates from three different companies when I did decide to buy the tankless heater, and Todd's fair pricing, prompt installation scheduling and his genuine pride and enthusiasm in his work persuaded me to work with him. On installation day, he arrived promptly, worked steadily on my challenging installation as the unit is in the hall closet under the stairs, and was attentive to every detail of both safety and care for my home. After the installation, Todd called to be sure the unit worked well and to be sure I was still pleased with it. After a year, I am still a little amazed at how quickly it heats the water and draws it steadily through to the second floor bathrooms. It takes about 10-12 seconds, even in cold weather to get the shower hot, and it keeps the temperature steadily while running. I recommend Todd Sharp and the Eco tankless heater. You can't go wrong with either

I liked the installer they sent, we discussed the various venting options we might have, and he provided a very competitive quote. All work was done quickly, professionally and with great skill.Their plumber arrived within one hour of my call (at 8:00 AM) and had the pipe repaired in another hour. He convinced my that a tankless water heater might avoid future problems and arranged for a sales representative to come out the next day. Todd responded quickly to my first inquiry even though he was out of town, and was at my house with the new tankless heater as soon as he returned in a couple of days. He explained how everything worked, and he and Tim worked hard to get the tankless unit installed, which required a good deal of electrical work. Everything was done well, and they were pleasant and respectful of my property (even though it was only my very messy garage), They tested the unit thoroughly before leaving to make sure everything was working to my satisfaction. They did a good job. It was just that I had a hard time communicating with them. It took them a long time to respond. I had to call them back because when he fixed the sink it still had a leak in it. He did fix it and take care of it, but it took a little while for him to get back to me. It took about 3 weeks for me to get the estimate for the hot water heater
