Abel was excellent, I really cannot say enough good about him! My special needs brother lives with us since our fathers passing. He has fallen into the walls a few times, leaving body sized holes. A cabinet in the kitchen fell off of the wall, 3 nails that I could not remove were removed by Abel. Lastly, the gas fireplace that was in the basement wasn’t being used and had not been properly installed by the previous owners. Abel did a fantastic job, not to mention he drove to the boonies to help us out. I am incredibly appreciative because a lot of people do not follow through on work promises anymore, hence finding Abel was an incredible blessing to our family. Highly recommend! PS: I’ve attached the completed job. I’m sorry I did not have before pictures to post

I initially hired Juan to rebuild the retaining walls at the end of my driveway that were literally coming off of their foundation. I happened to call him on a holiday, and he actually picked up and was ready to make an appointment to come out the next day. Juan and his crew did a great job, and the overall repair cost about $700. That prompted me to hire him again for a chimney repair that I needed. He brought out scaffolding 2 grind out and repair the joints all the way to the top of the chimney on a second-floor house, and he removed and replaced the Chimney Cap witch had significant damage just from wear and tear over time. He also grinded out all of the mortar in the Firebox itself, and Rheem ordered the internal fire box with a special mortar made for fireplaces. In all, that repair cost about $600, and save me a significant amount from the quotes that I had received from other services. As he was finishing up on my house, my neighbor came over and asked him to quote a job for him as well, which he also ended up doing. Juan is a great worker, unquestionably knows what he is doing, and has a great team to help him. I would definitely use him again, and would recommend him to others as well. Excellent. We were very impressed with the speed and professionalism of Juan Reyes and his crew. Our chimneys were in need of some tuck-pointing and resealing after all the recent rains; additionally, our patio had some existing surface brick which had settled over time creating a trip hazard at the stairs. Both jobs were completed quickly and in good quality. We plan to use Juan again and have recommended him to a neighbor who is experiencing a similar issue with his chimneys

Professional work and results. Crew cleaned up well. Missed three items but came back two times to resolve issues, with one of those at an extra cost to me that was insignificant. Requested pre and post photos of work, since some of this was in locations I could not easily access. Crew member indicated they had all available photos on their phone, but these were never shared with me after multiple requests. But overall, I believe the work contracted was performed professionally

After putting up with two different brick masons who both did inferior work, I finally discovered Juan Reyes who in my opinion is the best brick mason EVER. Juan had a quite difficult job because I needed him to restore my poorly built fireplace which was left in a total mess by previous brick layers. I had two requests: 1) make all the brick look old, and 2) match the existing grout color in the salvaged part of the fireplace. Juan listened patiently to my requests. He was up to the challenge and we talked at length about how to get the right look. First he removed the offending, poorly laid brick that was totally out of line. Then he carefully relaid the brick and reworked all of the existing grout to ensure a uniform color. He applied a new technique of roughing up the grout and smearing it on the brick in order to get the antique look I wanted. His patience and careful attention to detail were amazing. Not only did he far exceed all my expectations, his price was extremely reasonable for the work and amount of time he spent on the project. This fireplace was in the beginning a complete disaster and I am so relieved that it turned out great. Juan is not only a brick mason, he is an artist. He was also a joy to work with and I will definitely use him again in the future

We needed to lower the opening of our firebox so there would be more room below the wood mantle and the firebox opening. Juan was very responsive to my initial request for a quote. He came out the next day and gave a very reasonable cost estimate for the work. He was very professional and was able to schedule a crew within a week or so. He and his guys came out to the house and were very careful about keeping things clean in the house while they worked. Juan started they crew on the job and left them to finish. They were also professional and worked most of the day to add firebricks to lower our mantel opening and then to replace and add new tile on the new brick. They worked hard but some of the cuts to the tile were very ragged and the quality just wasn’t good compared to the original work. Juan called me to ask how things went and I mentioned the tile. He asked for a picture and saw it wasn’t adequate. He offered without me pushing at all to come out the next morning and redo the tile work. He came and did it himself and it looks great. I was extremely happy with his professionalism and how he made sure things were right. Great work at a reasonable price. We will absolutely call him again should we need any masonry work done

Jim arrived and put down cloths to prevent dirt from the fireplace, he cleaned and inspected the fireplace. I was concerned about some cracking and he reassured that the fireplace would not have to be repaired at this time but will in the future. They were very friendly efficient and it only took about 45 minute

Everything went as expected and the fireplace is all set for the winter. I gave a "B" for professionalism only because of the expensive list of repairs that he suggested was needed after an inspection found a small leak on our ceiling. The gentleman admitted that it may or may not be coming from the chimney. Seemed like an attempt at up-selling, but I guess that's why they offer the $99 deal in the first place

Work appears to have been done very well. No follow-up after 30 days to guide painting process after mortar cured, since. Pricey for the amount of work. Overall, solid B to B+.

JR Masonry (Juan Reyes and his team) worked on four major areas for me at the Belair Mansion. [1] The brick area in the back of the house that was built in 1790 was collapsing and this brick had to be removed. Once removed I hired JR Masonry to put this over 200 year old brick back with new windows and doors. The job that they did exceeded my expectations. The brick pattern matched the original and was done perfectly. They put amazing 200 year old wood headers above the windows and doors. [2] The inside of the 1790 area had 2 walls that were composed of 200 year old brick and a brick fireplace that was collapsing. JR Masonry completely fixed the fireplace, by installing a lentle and rebricking part of the fireplace. They cleaned all the brick making this room look excellent. [3] The side of the house that had extreme water damage had a type of Dryvit on it which had to be removed. Juan’s team bricked this entire area with the on-site brick and did an excellent job. This brick job looks just like it has always been there and has the same 200 year old wood headers above the doors and windows. They also repaired brick steps going up to the kitchen porch and did a great job. [4] 9 Brick Columns on 60+ ft wall matches the brick on the house and looks great. Juan and his team also took mortar and covered the Brick O Blocks which turned out great. Lastly, at one point, I accidently overpaid Juan and he brought the check back to me and showed me where I made a mistake. I’ve never had this happen before. This is an honest man. All of this work was done for a reasonable price and in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to use JR Masonry again for other projects. I would highly recommend Juan to anyone looking for an excellent job from an honest brick contractor. He is someone that can be trusted

Handy Mike's Custom Remodeling
5.0
Met Mike at the Williamson County Home Show and asked him to come out and provide and estimate for a kitchen remodel. After meeting with us and discussing our needs, Mike provided an estimate on-site. He invited us to view his work in the area. We were impressed with the work and the favorable comments from the homeowner. We obtained quotes from other company's based in Williamson County and found them to be as much as three times Mike's price! We also hired an interior designer to assist with the project that included the kitchen, dining room, and living areas. Mike worked very well with the designer to make changes as we moved along. Mike builds all wood cabinets in his shop and performs most all of the on-site construction. He uses a licensed electrician who is very efficient. The demo and remodel went as planned. Mike was always easy to reach and responsive. Mike worked with the granite folks and plumber to keep the project on time. At the end of the project Mike met all of our expectations and we are very happy with his work. The best part of this project was the value of the final product. Mike is a small business guy working to make a name and build his business. While the "Handy Mike" name may not impress your Williamson County neighbors, I can assure you his work and price will

Personal Touch Ceramic Tile LLC

Personal Touch did a wonderful job with the installation for my fireplace. Jim was even gracious enough to work with me on a tight timeline, which is very appreciated. The material was labor & time intensive and not the easiest of installs. It however, was very well executed. Jim and Santana were a pleasure to work with, especially when I had questions or concerns as to what would be the end result. They very much had it under control, and explained everything very well. When a very minor issue revealed itself, Jim was responsive in fixing it. I had no concerns with them being in my home when I wasn't there. That was immensely helpful to me, as was the level of neatness and clean up. I would definitely hire again, and look forward to Personal Touch doing my future tile projects

Chim Chimney

We almost lost $12K to these scam artists! At first the guy from Chim Chimney seemed very professional. He video inspected our large chimney and then provided a report and quote for critical repair. He showed us a grainy photo of a piece of wood that evidently was built into the flutes in our chimney. Due to that and the medium buildup of creosote he rendered our chimney a fire hazard that needed immediate repair. He proposed replacing the dual flutes with stainless steel at the net cost of $12,000. I told him I needed a bit of time to locate that kind of money, at which point he called his manager on speaker phone in front of me and very strangely explained our conversation including the "wood in the chimney" part. It was very odd as it was clear that they had already talked while he prepared the report in his car. I began to feel that something was wrong. We decided to hire a local reputable company to do a second inspection. They also did a very thorough video inspection and detailed report with photos. Final verdict ... our chimney is in excellent condition. No piece of wood anywhere and absolutely no creosote - it's barely been used for wood burning. We had them perform some minor repairs including replacing the cracked crown - all at a fraction of the amount Chim Chimney tried to con me out of. By the way, never heard from Chim Chimney again. You would think they would want to follow up on a $12k proposal? Stay far away from this company
The appt was easily made, customer service from the phone call to schedule to the tech Bob that came out was fantastic. They were prompt and price was very reasonable. I will definitely be using them for the installation of my chase cover and for any future chimney/fireplace/dryer vent needs.
They were professional and courteous. The crew took their time to make sure everything was perfect. I could not be happier. I will be using them again for my next project soon
He was highly professional from start to finish. He was able to fit me in within just a few days and finished the entire job earlier than planned. All of the work was high quality and looked beautiful. His prices are reasonable. He told me that he only does one job at a time until he is done and I appreciated that
1) - cleaned fireplace logs with a brush, (I've done myself before) and told me that there is no adjustment needed, just clean logs regularly. (This is incorrect, used the fireplace only 1 time since then and logs are COVERED with ash/soot again - didn't used to happen in the first 5 years...) Charge: $69 for house call/cleaning of logs (did nothing to fix the problem). 2) identified the problem for the wet wall, repaired (replaced) a section of pipe with a hole in it. ($250 - original $69 house call for fireplace, plus tax). Follow-up phone call offering an annual maintenance service for furnace inspection for only $235(?) PER UNIT. When I did call (about 3-4 weeks later, Nov '17, the person I spoke with was unavailable, I left my name and phone number for her to return my call, never heard back - didn't bother calling again if they weren't interested in my business.
Initially, they did a good job. Then they got sloppy. Then they didn't come back. They painted the cabinets with wall paint, not kitchen paint. With the tile, the grout is coming up. The laminate flooring is now coming up. I'm seeing cracks on my walls. It's now surfacing. Initially I thought the price was fine. At the end of the reconstruction, I felt that not only was it too much, but materials were left that I paid for
I first called to see if they would inspect existing gas logs that would not work--thought there was something wrong with the gas line. They agreed, but encouraged me first to try a few preliminary steps to get them working. I did so. Finally decided that I really wanted a new set of logs. Purchased them. Called them and they were able to come out the same week. The installer arrived a little early and went to work...adjusting the process to fit problems they encountered. They finished, taught me how to use the remote control. My fire alarms went off. They stayed until that problem was fixed!! They were professional, conscientious, and quick!
It could not have been easier. They were able and willing to work around my hectic schedule, and were very accommodating to change requests and discussions on design, materials etc. While I did provide some of the materials, Cody did refer me to some great vendors to purchase the remaining items needed at a fair price. I would prefer not to include what I spent; but after months of remodeling and mutliple quotes etc., I would say the cost of the service was very fair and competitive
Randy did an overall excellent job. He was quick to respond and continued communicating in a timely manner. He was on-time and did an excellent job cleaning up. It was obvious that his main goal was to ensure customer satisfaction. We were very happy with his work. He was very personable and a pleasure to work with and is dependable and trustworthy. We look forward to working with him again

After the March 2012 hailstorm, we were deluged by roofing contractors by phone, mailings, and people just dropping by the house that wanted to give us estimates on replacing our roof. Since I am an Insurance Agent, I knew better than to hire someone who wasn't local and who hadn't been in business for a while. We checked Angie's List and also got referrals from a friend and from an Insurance Adjuster. It happens that the referrals we received were also on Angie's List. Bone Dry Roofing was the first roofing contractor we chose for an estimate due to the good reviews on the Angie's List site. They were very prompt in responding to my estimate request and sent Cody Hergott (Regional Manager) out to do the initial estimate. He found that the roof and gutters were definitely damaged by the hailstorm. We discussed the fact that we had experienced leakage into our livingroom ceiling and we weren't sure whether it could be coming from the fireplace or the roof, but wanted the problem diagnosed and resolved as well. He took plenty of time and crawled up into the attic and up on the roof and did a thorough inspection. We were given an estimate for a new Timberline HD roof and gutters, as well as options for a ridge vent, etc. It was determined that we had a leak problem in one of the valleys and that we had a broken & deteriorated chimney crown and some broken and loose bricks in the chimney. Cody said they would reflash the chimney when they did the roofing job, but that they wouldn't warrant the chimney from leaking in it's current condition and recommended that we have a masonry company inspect the chimney. Since Bone Dry also does chimney repair, we requested a quote on the chimney work. Billy Fitzwilson (General Manager) came out and did another inspection of our roof, attic, and chimney. He got back to us in a timely manner with the quote on a rebuild of the upper portion of our chimney, including pouring a new crown. We were impressed by the knowledge and professionalism of both Billy and Cody. They took time to answer all of our questions. Billy brought out several roofing samples and gave us addresses of local roofing jobs, so we could look at both the Timberline and Certainteed roofs in several colors. We obtained several roofing estimates and an estimate from another fireplace repair company. Bone Dry was not the least expensive quote, but from the start of the process, we always thought they seemed to be the most professional and they inspired our confidence and trust. They were also the only ones that seemed to realize that our chimney was part of our leakage issue. It took us two months to get our estimates, decide which kind of roof we wanted and which color (we eventually chose the Certainteed Landmark). The whole time, Billy was very patient and was always willing to answer our phone calls, emails, or texts. Once we signed the contract, within 2-1/2 weeks we had our chimney completely rebuilt and a new roof. Gutters were installed 1 week after the roof was completed. The crews were very efficient and friendly and Dustin kept in contact with me to coordinate the gutter work and to make sure we were satisfied with the job. The only issue that still remains unresolved is that we haven't received a copy of our roof warranty and as far as I can tell, the chimney was to be sprayed with a waterproofing about 6 weeks out from the rebuild. I don't think this has been done, but I intend to address the issue with Billy Fitzwilson and I'm sure it will be resolved. We love our new roof and have had several good rainstorms since it was installed with no leakage so far. Bone Dry does quality work and they are honest folks. We have already recommended them several times and I know for sure that at least one of the leads we have given them has resulted in a new roof and gutter job. We can heartily recommend Bone Dry and hope you will contact them for your next roof replacement or repair

He took before and after pictures of his work, so I could see what was accomplished and was happy to send them to me. He provided me with additional suggested repairs and quotes for those repairs. I will definitely call Covenant Chimney for any future repairs I make and recommend them to others
