After very carefully verifying the time and date the work was to be done, I was at the house ready to meet them at 9 am. They were not there, so I called, only to discover some misunderstanding on their part as to the right day. Then I was told they would have someone at the house within an hour. That didn't happen either, so I called again only to be told they were having a hard time finding it. (It's not hard to find). Finally, after an hour and a half delay, they finally showed up. Once they got started, they did get to the work and got things done. They fixed drawers, hung blinds, replaced a bad deck board, and replaced a few defective fence pickets. They also stained the replaced deck board. They tried to fix a railing and a window that would not close very well, both without much success, but neither of these were really something they could do very easily. I did not hold these items against them. I had to go to the hardware store the day before to buy the lumber and fence pickets so as not to waste their time. While they were there working, I also had to go to the hardware store to get the replacement parts for the drawers. However, they seemed to have plenty of time to do the work within the allotted time. With the deal from Angie's list, their rate was about $25 per hour was not too bad, but I have had others quote me $20. And they were not their for the full time I paid for. (8 hours for one, 4 hours for 2). Overall, they did a decent job, but the rate was not a great deal, and the fact they showed up late and I had to run out to get supplies for them was frustrating.
