We signed a contract to install an inground pool on March 22nd. When we signed the contract we were told it woulds be 4 to 8 weeks for completion and here it is July, 4 months or 16 weeks later still no pool to swim in. They have told us that we would be able to swim on Memorial Day, then in June and the latest lie was July 4th. That has come and passed and still no pool. They seem to have a difficult time with time managment and scheduling. People would show up in the middle of the day work a couple of hours then leave. This has been what is happing on this installation.You can get ahold of them but they will tell you that is was some elses fault and we that they are wrong. We have had to communicate with two other contractors that are working with the pool company because they do not communicate with them

They open and close the pool and are very good with salt water pools. They've also repaired surround tile for us. The poolman also has brought treats for our dog! Their fee may be a bit higher than what I've paid before weekly, but they don't try to sell me chemicals I don't need and I save more annually

They were excellent. He bonded the pool and it passed inspection. Allen was great to work with and he was very helpful. He knows what he is talking about, easy to deal with, and I would definitely recommend him. I would use him again. He returned my calls and answered all of my questions. He talked to my attorney and answered his questions. He was very helpful. He even called the inspector for us. He told us everything going on. They pulled my permit and found the paperwork. He got the extension for us with the inspector so that our electricity wasn't shut off to the house. He helped us a lot

The pool's physical cleaning was conducted properly. When we noticed normal water evaporation during the summer months, Mr. Reep claimed we had a leak and recommended the hiring of divers to investigate. In February Mr. Reep said that our Diatomaceous Earth pool filter was not operating. He removed the internal portion of the pool filtration system without permission and subsequently claimed he worked 5 hours on the filter grids. He phoned to tell us that two of the grids had to be replaced at a cost of $700+, but he recommended replacing all eight filter grids for well over $900. When I called a national supplier of pool filters I surprised to learn that all 8 of the filter grids cost approximately $132. I ordered the filter grids and a neighbor and myself replaced the grids in approximately 30 minutes. I had previously asked Mr. Reep to return the filter unit to me. He did so, but demanded $450.for the five hours he worked on the system. I paid him for his "work." Mr. Reep was asked whether he had administered DE powder to the pool's skimmer system to coat the grids...and he said it wasn't needed. I found out later that without the DE powder the grids will become clogged and would soon have to be replaced. Mr. Reep is the second pool service we have had during the past three years. Now, as members of Angie's List, perhaps we'll find a company that can handle the pool servicing in a professional manner

The opening service this spring went great as usual. They are so nice about vaccuuming out the pool and rolling up the cover and placing it next to my garage door. I called them back after some of the dirt settled and they came right back out to finish vaccuuming the pool a second time and all this as part of the opening service. They also delivered a huge tub of chlorine tablets so that I don't have to haul that home this spring. They are always friendly and polite

THIS COMPANY IS THE REASON PEOPLE HATE CONTRACTORS!!! I purchased a Groupon for 8 hours of handyman services from Handyman Connection. The guy who came out brought a helper and the two of them took turns pressure washing my deck. The helper left cigarette butts laying on the window sill and when my wife came home, our swimming pool ping pong table was broken. When I asked the contractor about it, he became very defensive and offered to further damage the table with the pressure washer to show me how he couldn't have done it. He then reminded me of what a great deal I was getting and how he could have ripped me off. I ended up apologizing for accusing him of the damage because of the way he was acting (although I was really just asking about it) and he calmed down and went back to work. However, when he had me sign off on the bill and pay him, he told me he undercharged me by about $2000 and I was getting quite a deal. When he left, I walked around to the back of the garage to check out the job and noticed there was now stain splashed on my already broken ping pong table. At this point I called the owner and he said he would come evaluate the incident. He showed up and before he even took a good look said he didn't know how stain could have ended up on the ping pong table. We had to line up the table to the line of stain in the grass to show him how it landed--it was like playing CSI, and he really didn't seem to want to hear what we were saying. I told him about the way the contractor acted and he stated that the contractor was Greek and so that's just how he was. For the next week I played phone tag with the owner, and when he called me today, he told me that he had no way of knowing who was responsible for the ping pong table damage but he was "willing to give me the benefit of the doubt." THEN, he said he looked over the labor cost of the contractor and the 4 other people he brought out and said that I owed him another $1380 for the job that had been done and paid for already based on a signed estimate, and that he would take the cost of the ping pong table off of that. Not only am I never, ever hiring this company again, I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. PS On the other hand, Groupon was fabulous and refunded the purchase of this really crappy groupon for us and apologized for our bad experience

It was one guy who took 3 hours to complete the service. He found it. He told us. He warned us. He charged us. He told us everything, so nothing was hidden or disclosed. It was taken care of and we didn't have any recurring leaks

The price was as quoted. But the thing that impressed us most was his level of expertise and professionalism. Unlike some other contractor we have had, the sky was not falling and he didn't try to upsell us with things we didn't need

We had a lot of issues with our yard topography (eg extensive ground rock) beyond anyone’s control and they’ve navigated those hurdles and worked with us every step of the way. Jason LaForte & Tim Hendrickson provided options, cost information, and worked tirelessly to come to a solution we were happy with despite yard challenges. They communicated every step of the way and minimize delays throughout. The main reasons I would highly recommend A&S is their expertise, their responsiveness, the fact that they truly do manage the entire project including outside contractors needed, and they are just good people who want to do right by their customers

Joe is the owner and Jody is his son. The price was fair. A lot of people say that pool people take forever, but Joe came out, and they did our pool pretty much right away, he is professional and friendly. Jody does the maintenance on the pools, and he is very friendly as well. We got bids from other companies, but Joe's pricing in the middle and he was one of the ones who called up and didn't let it go. He wanted our business and he was good about that, and he came in and did what he had to do in a timely manner. He was very professional. They come out and check your pool while you are on vacation, and they did that for us for free
