My wife and I purchased a water softener and reverse osmosis system from Advanced Aqua Solutions. Three and a half years later, one of the lines we paid to have professionally installed by AAS cracked, causing $4,000 worth of water damage in our kitchen. So far, Martin (co-owner) has not been willing to help in any way. He said that although they professionally installed the line themselves, that they are not liable for any damages caused by their products failing. He then tried to blame the manufacturer of the plumbing line, but could not tell me who that manufacturer is. He said "I could have purchased that at Lowe's for all I know." So, in the end, I paid roughly $5,000 to have a water softener and reverse osmosis system professionally installed by employees of Advanced Aqua Solutions, but today the owner is saying he does not believe he is liable in any way, shape, form, or fashion for the failure of the lines they installed and has said he is not willing to help cover my homeowner's deductible. I have since filed a claim with Liberty Mutual, their insurance company because Martin refused to do it himself. I am currently dealing with insurance adjusters to take care of the claim. At the end of the day, my experience with this company has been terrible. They do not stand by their work and will not help in any way WHEN their products fail, causing THOUSANDS of dollars in damages. Overall, the system cost roughly $5,000 and now with the repairs in my kitchen, it has truly cost around $9,000. NOT WORTH IT. I would never recommend anyone do business with this company

I have had a very good experience with Rain Soft. They always get things taken care of right away. Come out for any problems within a fair amount of time. I would refer them to friends and family. I liked how friendly the reps were.

Very prompt quote and quick installation. Price was competitive with several other vendors and lower than several also. I appreciated the detailed description of the actual process. It was technical and let me know exactly what we were getting. I also found the warranty provided with this work is excellent and extended beyond the manufacturers provided warranty. I highly recommend the Surfin' Plumbers

Technician came and briefly looked at the system and said it was working fine. He flushed the toilet in the basement a few times and ran the water in the shower for a couple of minutes. He then plugged it back in and the noise stopped and the water stopped running. Total time in the house was less than 15 minutes. He said the issue was that the filter needed replacing. He then charged me more than the $49 that was agreed upon when I first called. His report actually stated that he stayed for 2 hours and he "gave me a discount". I called the company and the receptionist was shocked I got charged more. The issue occurred again about 5 days later and they sent another technician. This time, he explained that the issue wasn't the water softener but actually a valve in one of the pipes for the bathroom was sticking and the should be an easy fix by running the water for a few minutes. He was actually very competent and I appreciated that. All their employees should be like this guy! Ultimately, it took more than 3 weeks, repeated calls, and threats of reporting to BBB to get reimbursed for paying more money than what was agreed upon because managers didn't want to admit fault for poor service. If communication was improved and technicians actually billed for what they did, I'd give a better review

First tech told me that the 3 year old softener that they installed Nov 29,2014 was old and tried to sell me a $5600 water filter. Second tech told me everything looked ok to him - although there is no way to see inside the water holding tank itself - and the brown foamy grime in the brine tank was supposedly "normal". Once the system was turned off, no more dead rodent smell. Looking back on it, my whole family was having intestinal problems for weeks drinking that water. Still no return call from the manager after 3 weeks of requests. I am getting a water sample from the tank examined. Most unprofessional techs I've ever dealt with. The girls answering the phone is this company's only saving grace. The rest of the organization should not be doing business

I replaced an older (Rain Soft) water treatment system that had been installed by a company that proved to be unresponsive and inept regarding maintenance. I started looking for people I could have confidence in. I chose Ecowater Systems and the people who came out were great! They were knowledgeable and "soft sell" - the consultant told me I really didn't need a new water softener right away because it could still function if the salt bridge could be broken up. He also did not push the largest system because I'm the only person living here right now. I was thinking resale, however, and that a larger system would better accommodate a family. On the day of installation, the worker had forgotten something. I called the company and the consultant came out with the needed item and stayed and assisted with the entire installation (which included changing out pipes in the crawl space). While in the crawl space, they alerted me to a separate problem, which I'm now taking care of

At the time of install the system was incorrectly installed ( to close to the walls to allow for use of emergency shut valves) and backed in a dark corner if the garage. At the time of the sale, the salesman went on about how great a system this ways and how it had such an incredible warranty. The system does provide great drinking water and the company does good normal maintenance. The problem we encountered was when the company needed to step up and stand behind their product and sales speech. On July 25th of this year (2013) we came home to discover our system was leaking and had been for sometime. There was mold and mildew on the garage and stairway walls. I contact Environmental Water Service as to our concerns, the lady whom called us back notified Gregg then try to instruct me on how to use the emergency shut off valves, but since the unit/system was originally installed incorrectly I could not utilize the key to insert into the tank to shut off the system. Gregg then agreed to send someone out the next afternoon. When the serviceman got there and looked at the system, he informed me that my system needed to be moved about two or three feet down to which I agreed. He then showed me why he felt the tank had been leaking, the treads on the head of the tank were all busted up. The gentlemen then replaced that tank with a new one. That was Saturday afternoon, at this time I discuss with Gregg the plans he had for the damages this leaky tank had made, he assured me he would make every right he told me he would make me and quot;wholeand quot; again not to worry. Well when we call home from dinner Saturday night the newly installed tank was leaking. We called the office of EWS and they had someone come out the next afternoon to fix it, this gentleman informed me the previous installer didn't do his job correctly and too much water pressure had built up in they system. On Monday I called Gregg with est. he had asked me to get to see about repairing my home. I told him it was going to roughly be about 2,600-2,700 to get it done. He then asked me since this was a friend of mine did I think he would willing to give me a discount, I said he might what type of discount are you thinking of? He said about 1,500-1,600 and I said no. That's about 50% off, would you give him a system for 50%? He stated no and said he didn't mean to come across insulting. The next communication I get from Gregg is via email and how this was an warranty issue and he was turning the problem and issue over to his supplier and I should go ahead and make a homeowners claim to fix the problem because this could take the supplier up to 60 days to rectify. I had discuss with Gregg on many occasions how I didn't want to make a homeowners claim against my insurance for something he and his company put in my home. I thought he should use his general liability and then turn it over to his supplier. If he was bonded and insured and his company installed this system into my home why was he not standing behind it??? The case was then turn over to a company called Aquion, and a claims manger named Donna Wells. Well no inform me or anyone at EWS that Mrs. Wells was out of work due to family issues and my case was held up for several days. After not being able to reach he I did reach Mr. Scott Harmon who informed me she would get back with when she returned to work. I did finally speak with Mrs.Wells and during that conversation she was very RUDE and unwilling to listen to my story or problems. So I called Mr. Harmon back to state my concerns about her handling my case, he stated he was aware of lack of people skills but she was very skilled her job. I said I would try to work with her. Aquion then handed my case over to their supplier Pentair for warrany due to a cracked/leaky tank. I am now working with company number three!!! No one wants to take ownership or responsibility, nor has EWS ever checked to see how my case was going or if there was anything they could do or help me with. Now Pentair gave my case to man named Terry Vekere. Terry mail me so paper work to fill out and send back to, so I did and mailed it back to him certified so I would know he had received it. After waiting three weeks I finally got a hold of Terry, I told him I hadn't receive conformation that he had received my paper work. He informed me he worked from home and had been to the office to check his mail in weeks! And that he had taken off for an well errand vacation that he was entitled too. I then asked he if I was not entitled to someone taking care of my case and home, I am sure I had errand it. He then stated he would work on my case up it may be another two to three weeks before he had an answer. Once he did call me back, he says he has a settlement offer for me. His offer was of two est. I had sent in, he took the lowest est and deducted labor/overhead and materials and then depreciated the painting of the garage. I told that wasn't a fair or reasonable offer. He said that's all I am offering. These est. did not include the or time I spent or lost, nor did it compensate me for have to clear out my garage then put everything back. I am now into over two months of dealing with the damage caused by the equipment Environmental Water System put into my home, but does not want to take responsibility for, nor help rectify the situation. Please be careful and do your research before using Environmental Water Services, everything was great while they were taking our money $6,500 plus services and now they are no where to be found!!

The plumber was excellent in all areas, and was very polite. He is not only personable yet professional with me but he even went as far as to help my neighbor jump his car and mine to upon leaving. Not as great as having a husband but the nexted best thing! I will have them come back in the future to add a water softener system which will prolong the life of his work and my home. It is so reasuring to know that one person knows the maintance of my home. I'm a happy camper

Mr. Charlie Wehby came by looked over the job that needed to be done. Went to his office and worked up an estimate of the job. He called me late the next day and gave me the estimate. We scheduled the job to be done (described above). The workmen showed up on time the day the work was to be done. I was off that day doing some work around the house and got a chance to speak with them off an on throughout the day. I watched them work. They were steady and knew just what to do. Very professional

They came out and, after telling me it could be an hour or hour and a half job, spent 10 - 15 minutes and left. I had to ask them to please check the water pressure to be sure it was lower. They did. It had come down from 130 psi to 75 psi. I was satisfied. They honored the $99 Big Deal and what was originally a $500 process (15 minutes!!!) cost ONLY $308. As he was leaving, the plumber told me I might hear a "vibration" in the line and if so, to call them and he'd come back and adjust the valve. He said I really needed a water softener because of the hard water in Bellevue. I told him that was not in my budget. Okay. The very next day, when I turned on the water, it sounded like a fog horn was in my kitchen. It was so loud it scared my cats. I called the plumber and they said they'd come back out. They did, the next day. The same man came out and said the vibration was caused by so much scale buildup in the lines and I really needed a water softener, but he'd adjust the valve. He banged on something and adjusted the valve, I guess, and the sound stopped. He left, saying he thought it was fixed, but there was so much junk in the lines it might be that causing the noise. Within a few days, the foghorn was back. It was so loud, I had to stop a load of laundry mid-cycle because of the horrendous noise. I called again. This time, a different plumber came out. He said the valve must be bad, because it was "after all, a mechanical part and sometimes they go bad." He replaced the valve. I asked about the pressure and he said he'd reduced it to around 40 psi. Again, within a day or two, the "vibration" returned. When I flushed the toilet, washed dishes, ran water in any sink or took a shower, it sounded like a foghorn was going off in my house. I called, again, on Sunday, the 22nd. They answered the phone, to my surprise, and said they would let the "on-call" know. After some time, I got a call back saying that the company felt that someone who had already been there should come back, because they knew what was going on. The "on-call" was new, so it would be Monday before they came. I was okay with that, since it was Sunday night. I was told the plumber would come back Monday afternoon, after 3:30 (I had an appointment until then.) At 4:15 or so, I got a phone call from the second plumber who had come out saying that he'd talked to the manufacturer and that I needed a stepped-up version of the valve - one that could handle higher pressure. .....except it would have to be over-nighted to them. He would come on Tuesday morning to replace it. I said okay. Tuesday, Christmas Eve, the plumber came back and replaced the valve. He said that "everyone out here" has this problem and that the water pressure must be spiking. I told him I'd never had ANY problem until they came out, nor had any of my neighbors, that I knew of. He asked me if I wanted them to re-install my original valve, and I told him that yes, if they still had it, I'd prefer that. But that wasn't possible, so he showed me the new and improved valve, and installed it. That was 48 hours ago and I have not yet noticed any noise when using the water. I appreciate the responsiveness and the willingness to try to fix the problem, but I am very concerned and confused that I was told two different things were causing the problem. And it seems a bit counter-intuitive that, though my water pressure tests at 40 psi, they felt it required a valve that was rated for 125 - 200 psi. But if it works, I will let it go. No, I would not use this service again. The plumbers were friendly and reasonably timely, but I cannot understand why it took four trips to fix what seems like a very simple problem

I called 4 different plumbers (all highly rated on Angie's List) and inquired about scheduling a visit to have them look at several plumbing concerns I had at my house (which I bought two years ago). Of the four companies, Surfin' was the only one that would come out without charging for the initial service call, so I decided to schedule them first. On the day of the appointment, the Surfin' office rep called to let me know that their tech would be at my house just a couple of minutes after the 2:00 appointment time, and I realized that he was going to be here before I could get home from work (which I could try to blame on my long commute, but it was really just bad planning on my part). When I told her that I would be late, she said she would let the tech know, but that he would wait for me. Tom was very gracious about my late arrival, even though he had been waiting for me for at least 15-20 minutes. I thanked him for waiting, and then I proceeded to walk him through my various plumbing issues and questions. On the first item, he told me that the water hammer in my guest shower was being caused by a bad cartridge in the handle. He told me I could just call Delta and they would send me a new cartridge free of charge. He went on to tell me that, while he would be happy to install it for me, it really isn't that difficult a job, and that I could probably do it myself after watching a YouTube video or two. I appreciated his honesty, and was pleasantly surprised that he wasn't trying to get me to hire him to do the job. My next concern was about my main water shutoff being in my crawlspace, clear across the house from the crawl access. After looking at the water heater and water softener setup in my garage, Tom recommended that I just add another shutoff on the softener's intake line. Again, he told me I could probably do the job myself. I was stunned. I mean, what service provider does that? So far, he and his company weren't going to make a dime off of this visit or from the two jobs we had talked about. I also asked him about the standpipe that my softener drains into, as I believe the installer made it too tall, requiring the softener's (non-pumped) overflow to have to run uphill before it can drain. He agreed that I should shorten it. Finally, I asked Tom about my fireplace. The gas line is in place in the crawl, but it isn't actually plumbed into the firebox (and there's no gas log installed). He gave me a good bit of information and some suggestions about what I might want to do. All told, Tom spent about 30 minutes (maybe more) listening to my questions, and giving me feedback and suggestions. He was very knowledgeable, and at no point did he try to push me to hire him to do any of the work. Before he left, I asked Tom if I could pay him _something_ for his time and for all the information he had given me. He politely declined, and just asked that I call Surfin' when I had a plumbing job that required a professional. Wow. As a follow-up, Tom was right about the shower cartridge. Delta mailed it to me free of charge, and after watching a Delta video online and Googling a couple of problems I had getting the old cartridge out, I was able to install the new one. Voila, no more water hammer. As far as installing a new main water shutoff in the garage, I'm not sure I'm comfortable doing that one myself, so I'll likely call Surfin' at some point and have them do that work. I'm confident it will be money well spent
I was very pleased with the fact that the technician, Ryan King, was polite, knowledgable, and also found the information about my thermostat that was misfiled in my Owner's Manual.
Environmental Water Systems was very punctual, and performed a very good job on the water softener. He explained everything in a way that I could understand. He even took the time to show me how to reset, and work, the water softener properly.

Telephoned when driving to our house. Arrived a little ahead of scheduled appointment time. Installed softener. Checked that it was running properly. Cleaned area where he worked. Gave brief explanation of how to operate. Answered questions & left manual.
Excellent service. I set an appointment on line. Within the hour an appointment was set. I was contacted when he was on his way. He was able to arriv early. He called me when he was through and told me what he had to do. He left a detailed beer. The price was excellent.
