I can't recommend this company enough! They were wonderful. Our home sits on a hill and receives a lot of weathering as result. We had several completely rotten window frames that needed to be replaced. In addition, the siding had holes and other issues. Both items were original to the home which was constructed in the late 1980's. We contacted three companies for estimates. Mid-South responded to our request promptly. Their salesman was prompt and courteous. He answered all our questions and provided us with all the materials that we needed to review and help make our decision. He even encouraged us to get other bids and compare them to Mid-South. Neither of the other companies had materials to leave for us to compare. And one company wanted us to make a decision to buy right on the spot! I would have gone with Mid-South based on their business practices alone, but they were able to complete both projects with one set of installers and at the best price. The installers work exclusively for Mid-South instead of being contractors. The installers were courteous and went above and beyond in correcting issues as they would find them during their installation and did so at no extra cost! They cleaned up daily and we've had no issues with debris at all during the process. Mid-South provided the best service at the best price and they are great people to work with. You will not be disappointed in choosing this company

Glenn (the owner) responded to my request for an estimate the same day I called. Within 2 days he came and gave me a bid for the work. The price was excellent. Within 2 weeks I was scheduled for the work, at the earliest "warmer" weather, since it was late January. The work started yesterday Feb 4 2013 and was finished today Feb 5 2013. Gary did the work in one and a half days! I like the fact that Gary has over 30 years experience installing siding so he is efficient and does the job right. He gave some ideas to improve the appearance of the siding on one corner of the house which cost him more time but made it look so much better (at no extra cost to me). He also cleaned everything up so well. I am so pleased with the work he did! The cost was VERY reasonable for the work done. I will definitely use their services again

I was pleased with Glenn from our first conversation. He responded quickly and kept me updated earlier in the day that another job was running behind and he would be late to our appointment. He was clearly knowledgeable about siding and what you need to know about the house and type of siding to put up to do the job well and on estimate. Unlike someone else who gave me an estimate that was only a salesperson and didn't know how to do anything other than take measurements to know what the job would entail. It ended up taking a long time from the initial estimate to getting the job done because of our schedule, but once we were ready to schedule him, Glenn responded quickly and completed the work efficiently and on budget. He recommended a painter and even though that person did the work independently, Glenn called afterward to be sure we were happy now that the whole project was completed

This was a mixed experience. They got the job done well, but we felt we were misled a little because they had told us we would be asked to do a testimonial for them which was baloney. We had to have them come back several times for minor adjustments and there was a problem communicating at times because only one of them spoke English.. They were nice though and worked very hard in some very cold weather

Golden Rule Carpentry
This is a great guy with a wonderful since of responsibility for getting the job done correctly! The area around the house looked like no one had been there! The siding and the rotted material were replace and this guy went a little further into the wall to make sure everything was solid and secure before attaching the siding. It was calked and painted very professional and we are very happy in the outcome of this project. I'm definitely having him come back and do some more work on the inside later this winter

He knew all about the weatherstripping - as opposed to the other contractor who came out - and said that he would let us know when the contractor could do the work. It was done within a week to ten days. The siding and stripping looks fantastic! We would definitely use Mid-South in the future

Several items were missed by the insurance company and the rep worked with the insurance company to make sure that all work was covered and properly funded.. I am very happy with their work

I contacted Danny to have my vinyl siding replaced at the rear of my house. It was damaged in the March hail storm. Danny Clark and his brother, Ken, are craftsmen. They tore off my old, original siding and replaced it the way it should have been done in the first place. Even in instances where they could have cut corners because I wouldn't know, they were careful to make sure it was done correctly. They used silicone and caulk in all the seams. I know they should, but the original builder didn't bother. The back of my house now looks great! I also had some dry rot in the frame for my kitchen door, and Danny said "Let me do it!" I paid him a little extra to have him replace the door. The original door was 30" across, which was a special order. Danny widened the opening to accommodate a 32" door, which is easy to find at Home Depot. The new door looks great, and Danny took extra time to make sure everything is correct. When the job was done, they carefully cleaned up my back deck and left everything nice and clean. They won't leave something half-done, they make sure it's all done properly. I will definitely call them again for future projects around the house

Ken Patterson Construction Solutions
This was by far the worst decision I've made in a long time. 1) The most horrible part of this is that one of his workers (his son) stole our debit card out of my husbands wallet that was laying on a table in our house and also stole several pieces of heirloom jewelry from my jewelry box. He has been positively identified on several surveillance videos selling the jewelry and using our debit card, and we are pressing charges. 2) They walked off the job, incomplete. The work they did the last day is ruined by the weather. We had not paid them the full amount but they were paid more than what was left. It will take me 4 times as much (as what was left on the contract) to complete the job with another company. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! 3) Our yard is littered with nails and cigarettes and we found OUR tools lying in the yard. 4) A condensing unit was pulled out from under our house and pulled to the side of the property as if someone was going to come back and get it at the end of the day. 4) We no longer have faith in people who do work for us and are so disappointed that Ken Patterson has not tried to make this right. Please contact me for more information as I am happy to provide police reports and other information to get him completely removed from this site, or at least my review posted so others may know about this situation

Based on other excellent reviews on Angie's List, I called Mr. Killom to repair my damaged siding. He answered his cell phone himself and was eager to help. Very, very nice man who couldn't have been more helpful or responsive. Two days later he came by to assess the damage and immediately called me with a very reasonable price. He apologized multiple times for the fact that he was finishing a big job in Franklin and wouldn't be able to fix my siding until the following week--which was perfectly fine with me. He came the next week and got the job done perfectly. I could not have been more pleased with Mr. Killom, his company, or their responsiveness. I will not use anyone else for my next siding repair

I would definitely pay more for their services but found them to be priced very high. Their quote was 2 times higher then the my lowest bid and 1/3 higher then my middle priced quote. With such a small roof, I could replace it twice for their price

From the first time he came over to give me an estimate for our renovation to the last day of work, Bryan continued to impress me with his honesty, responsiveness, professionalism, knowledge, and ideas/suggestions. His subcontractors not only showed up when expected, but they did beautiful work and seemed to be very happy to do it. Everything is beautiful and very well done. My husband and I couldn't be happier, and we will definitely use Quinta again

What I appreciated most about Taylor was his honesty and candidness. He gave me straightforward advice from a neutral point of view (including things that didn't benefit his pocket to tell me). I had a small leak that only dripped when it rained a long time or really hard, and was coming from near the bathroom exhaust vent. I knew it wasn't going through the vent because I could see it drip through the attic when I poked my head up to look during a heavy storm. I wanted to get that fixed right away, and I also wanted to learn more about the condition of the roof. The housing inspector wasn't impressed with it when I was in contract to buy this home, so getting a roofer's advice was just as important to me as getting the leak fixed. He went up on the roof and took pictures, then came back down. He said I had a second roof on top of an older roof, which is fine but that I can't do a third on top of that so when it's time later to replace the roof I should plan on it being $8000 or so. He also said the roof wasn't done very well. The cuts were rough and imprecise, and the notches around roof penetrations were way off. That meant there were gaps between the flashing and the shingles in a lot of places. It was good enough to not leak except in this one place, but not the greatest work overall. He also said that the flashing and labor was expensive enough that it didn't make sense to do much pro-active messing around with any of the deficiencies he identified except for the one place that was leaking. Some of the flashing would be hundreds of dollars per part, and his crew's minimum charge is $500 per visit, so he was more interested in being my choice for the eventual roof replacement. Taylor told me he could have his guys fix the leak for $500 if I couldn't find someone more affordable for that job, since all I really needed to stop the leak was some caulk to seal the bad cuts around the bathroom vent's flashing. What was also useful to me was that he wagered a guess that the roof might last 5 to 7 more years, which lets me know how much I need to save up and what my timeline might be. In the meantime, he suggested to just do the minimal repairs only if something becomes a problem. He also said that since the electrical masthead and chimney pipe go outside the main walls of the house, they might be low priorities so I could hold off and save that money aside. I was very glad for the terrific advice Taylor gave me. I got the impression he would be the right person to call when I'm ready to replace the roof since he has such an attention to detail. That's something I appreciate because I'm planning on owning this house long-term rather than "flipping" it

The salesman and window instaler have been professional and helpful. The only complaint I have is if you call Tennessee Thermal no one anwsers the phone or returns your call. You have to call the salesman and instaler's cell number to get in touch with someone. Windows have only bee instaled for 5 days but seem to be fine

Job was performed next day from contract date. Work was performed as agreed. Home owner inspection afterward did reveal some installation issues but they were corrected immediately upon notice to company. The only problem was that there did not seem to be adequate supervision of workers on the job and followup inspection was not done until company was asked to do so

I noticed that they put a vent on the major part of the house but there is another part where there is an attic that to me it needed to be vented but it was not vented. I ended up having to police their work to make sure that the quality is there when I feel like they need to address that because that is their specialty. Their price was expensive. I waited and waited and wondered when they would put me on schedule. Once they started the job they were here early the morning. I would tell anyone that they did good work but get ready for good work. I am pleased with the work. The price was much higher that I anticipated and I got quotes that were lower and I also chose them because I know people who used them. They did a good job in cleaning up
