We decided to replace carpeting with laminate flooring in two bedrooms in a rental house. At Home Depot I found out that intallation was $1.99 per square foot. That made even the cheapest laminate flooring expensive. I found Chaz and Sheilah on Angies list,. Chaz works by the hour. Sheilah gave me the information I needed to make the decision to have a much better floor installed for relatively the same amount of mon ey the cheaper floor would have cost because of the quicker installation time. (Thank you, Sheilah!) She worked our job into Chaz's schedule two days later (Thank you, Sheilah!) Chaz came out on time. (Thank you, Chaz!) He worked hard and the job took him hours longer than he expected due to several little closets he didn't know about. (Sorry, Chaz!) And, he got attacked by fleas. (So sorry, Chaz!) But, he stayed until the job was done. And done beautifully. Chaz and Sheilah made the whole project turn out so much better than it would have without them and their dedication to their custumers

It looks so much better than the sample that we had picked out to purchase from elsewhere. R&S Flooring
I needed someone who could deal with the inconsistencies of my old floor and do it right. I was assured this would happen. The project manager was not able to come out the night before the job to look over the issues. I should have stopped the job then, but I was told he would come out mid-day and check to make sure the job was going according to plan. The team showed up at 10am- that's 10! with very limited instructions. I explained what needed to get done, and why I wasn't doing the work myself. The project manager never showed up. The team had to leave to get materials. I saw them scrape away some of the vinyl floor that had been under the wood laminate, but not all of it. They finished laying the floor at about 8:30 PM. The manager came early the next day. The floor looks good, but I had not had a chance to walk on all parts of the floor. I found that the part of the floor I had anticipated having problems was smooth, but now there is a new hump where the kitchen meets the living room and a hump in the middle of the dining room where they had not scraped the old floor up. There are also a couple of dips in the great room. I do not recommend working with them. I bought my own flooring and did all the quarter round. The people who came to pick the trash were very nice and did a great job

Even though the staff is knowledgeable, I found it almost impossible to get a return call on quotes which took up to 2 or more weeks on average (the last quote I asked for I never heard back from at all. I worked with Junior). I decided to ultimately go with another company because I realized that if they wouldn't make me a priority before the purchase, why would they after I bought from them? I even called the owner regarding my experience (had to leave a message). I never heard a word back

CARPET FASHIONS OF NASHVILLE
The flooring was purchased from Lowes in Franklin who subcontracted with Carpet Fashions for installation. Price is for both materials and installation. Extremely unhappy with quality and customer service. Installers damaged wood trim and left the freshly painted walls covered with dirty handprints. Carpet Fashions denied responsibility. Lowes has promised to resolve, but still waiting after one month. Lowes requires full payment up front which was a mistake

Josh and his team were on time, very carefully took up a defective floor, cleaned the older floor thoroughly and laid a new vinyl floor. He ran out of glue (manufacturer did not estimate enough) so Josh went out, got the glue and finished the job beautifully!!

Installer Direct
Scott & Daniel were great. After a mix-up with the day they were to come to measure & show samples, we finally connected. We went over everything & I was thrilled when their initial quote came in under my budget for the project. After a few more conversations where I finally made my decision - he scheduled the job for the very next week. I sent him the deposit for the supplies & was thrilled there was no delay due to a backorder. They showed up right on time (between 8:30-9:00) ready to work. Got started immediately removing all the carpet and had it cleared and the debris swept up in no time. They worked tirelessly all day. Daniel and Scott left about 5:30 and 2 of his crew remained to finish the carpet. I wish I could remember their names, but they worked until about 9pm. The job went so smoothly, it was bound to have one "uh oh", but this one was mine, nothing they did. They located a spot in a downstairs bathroom where there has been water dripping behind the wall. So next step plumber. I would recommend Scott & Daniel for any job, but keep in mind they are busy hands on guys so be patient during pre-order phase. They were very kind to put up with my impatience

Kathy went out of her way to make sure that I had the perfect laminate that matched both my existing hardwood floors and my budget. She also went out of her way to find the best vinyl for my kitchen after I kept choosing discontinued samples. She stays ahead of every detail, down the transition strips-- and she has the intuition to anticipate all the needs of the installers to make sure they had all their materials to get the job done. I would like to personally thank Jerry Reed, the laminate installer, for an amazing job. He was personable, friendly, efficient, very helpful and a pleasure to have in my home. Not only did Kathy do an outstanding job on the new flooring in my house, I feel like I made a new friend. This was a good working relationship. The original flooring was too expensive, so we went back and renegotiated a different carpeting. The only problem was that the first half of the house was installed with the wrong carpeting, but they fixed it immediately.

I found the specific brand, type and finishing I was interested in for much cheaper than I could find in any other store (locally and online). The deal was so good that I was actually concerned it would arrive damaged or the wrong item, but the flooring arrived in perfect condition, just as described. My only complain is that it took much longer than predicted to get to my home. Luckily I had given myself plenty of time between the scheduled delivery and the scheduled flooring installation. Still, it arrived in the last possible day, around two weeks after the estimated delivery date. I can't tell if the problem was on Nice Floor end of things, or the company they hire to deliver. Work was done within time frame stated. Old carpet that had been there for years taken up and vinyl plank floor installed. All garbage removed. Area was clean when work was done. Had a small issue that I noticed with a threshold after installation was complete but it was fixed and I am very pleased with the way it turned out and the flooring looks great. The communication was very prompt and clear throughout the process

We were initially reluctant to try R&S since we figured they were at the higher end of the price spectrum with respect to flooring, especially with an office in Brentwood. After shopping around we found they were very competitive while having a good selection of flooring not seen elsewhere. We fell in love with a particular sample and scheduled a time to survey the job. We agreed upon a price and within a week R&S was delivering the flooring. The installation that quickly followed went very well, and believe it or not, the finished product looked even better than the sample we had based our purchase on. I had initially planned on doing the finish trim and paint work myself, but decided to leave that up to R&S so I could focus my time on other remodeling tasks. I'm sure glad I did, because the painter did a fantastic job and even gave me some valuable painting tips I'll use in the future. We found a few nail holes that weren't filled, and within minutes another R&S representative was at our doorstep to quickly resolve. I've installed flooring in the past, and its not the most enjoyable home improvement job I've done. I'm really glad I chose to let someone else do this one, and couldn't be any more pleased with the quality of the products and service I received from R&S. The folks at R&S are really nice people, and I really appreciate how they treated my wife and I. You don't have to spend a fortune with them to feel like the truly appreciate having you as a customer

Professional installation. Installer went above and beyond at no extra cost; I asked if they would screw down my sub floor to keep it from squeaking before they installed the hardwood. They did so at no extra cost; I provided the screws. When they trimmed out my kitchen, they asked what color I wanted the trim and matched it to the existing cabinets. They cleaned up their mess when they were done and only left the leftover material that I wanted. They came on the days I wanted them to come and actually fininshed early. I contracted them through Lowes and got a great price. They were over $1000 cheaper than Home Depot on the bid. They also did a better job than the Home Depot installers I contracted to do my living room and hall previously. Lowes has a good warranty on installation and labor but it's been 6 weeks since the install and so far it looks like I won't need it
