Yard Dog Fence
2.0
Yard dog Fence did a fairly good job. But after a couple incidents I made a claim to the BBB. Firstly, on more then one occasion their works left trash in my yard. Secondly, their workers poured concrete in the only drainage pipe leaving my back yard. Which they did come and fix but again decided to bury their trash in my back yard. Before they fixed it I had massive flooding in my back yard. Thirdly, the gate latches their workers used have never worked properly. And because they left so much space between the gate post and gate it cost me $23.00 per gate (3) to replace. Fourthly, my fence is uneven. one part of the fence is higher then the other right at a gate post. Its cost my $1500 extra to fix all the problems left behind by Yard Dog Fence workers. And to date they still not have still not reimbursed me. Not even complaining to BBB has made a difference. My suggestion to be around and keep a close eye on everything they do

Had an aluminum fence with brick pillars installed at our new home. Turned out looking awesome and is the talk of the neighborhood. No surprises, great communication, and flexible to small changes. Would highly recommend.

Great service and I will call upon him again. He actually had the best price of any other checked. Went to work in the morning, came home and they were gone...Great work, and if anything was not up to par then he would come by and correct it.

Prince's Fences is the real deal. Chuck and everyone else at the company impressed me with their professionalism and expertise. They walked through the entire process with me, including getting HOA and City approval (in Spring Hill) and made the process a breeze. The finished product is incredible and extremely high quality. They priced out slightly higher than a few other companies that I quoted, but their build quality is second to none. I would certainly recommend them to anyone

Chaz comes in with a game plan and figures it all out. If it is beyond his scope he always has a list of additional people who have expertise in the areas he doesn't cover. I have FINALLY broken the barrier between the homeowner/contractor simply by having Chaz on my side. I almost hate to keep bragging on him for fear he won't be available the next time I need him. But I know he will make time if it is an emergency. God Bless

We moved in from out of state and purchased a house with no backyard fence - and we have 4 dogs. I contacted Royal Fence and Design and they were extremely helpful in navigating local and HOA requirements for yard fencing. They were extremely responsive getting the work done as expeditiously as possible. Very happy with their work. About 5 weeks after the install one of the gates was not aligning and auto-closing correctly. They came right out and corrected the issue. Highly recommend them

American Fence is quite pleasant to work with for a quote but has a real problem with getting back when promised. Communication is the key problem. I am happy with the quality of materials and workmanship. The installation of my fence surrounding the yard looks great and has stood up well to the first winter. However the installer did not clean up after the job leaving piles of dirt and rock by every fence post which took me two weekends to clean up and dispose of. We had one vinyl piece put up to hide the trash bin storage area. It was not installed correctly and is being replaced under warranty, no complaints on the warranty service. But again the communication issue. We worked through the discussion about the warranty work and were given a commitment of two weeks to get materials. After four weeks had passed we called and re-confirmed this was on the schedule. Two more weeks passed and installers show up with no advance notice, communication, or appointment. The warranty job is now finished (started 3/26/2013, finished 5/26/2013). Warranty work was high quality and too my surprise Milton decline payment due to my dissatisfaction with communication. Net, net...warranty work completed behind promised schedule BUT with high quality work and NO CHARGE. In summary when the work is complete it is a good job with high quality materials. Just be prepared that communication and keeping to the promised schedule is a problem

I first talked with Mrs. Claudia Cook and arranged a time to meet with the Foreman at the house. Mr. Cook was on time and I went over the scope of the work. He provided excellent responses to questions and was clear about what he could do. At a followup date, I signed contract that recapped everything we had discussed. I provided a 50% payment by check at that time. The work was to be completed prior to Halloween and all work was completed by the desired date. I was pleased with the results and I will certainly called them again for future work

American Fence & Gate LLC

If this experience had not been so FRUSTRATING and PAINFUL to endure, it would have probably been down right COMICAL, because it was like "The Bad News Bears" do fencing! No one had a CLUE what was going on! I've NEVER seen a more DISORGANIZED and POORLY MANAGED contractor! This is the first time that I feel like the reviews on Angie's List have COMPLETELY LET ME DOWN! This contractor has EXCELLENT RATINGS but performed HORRIBLE WORK! (It has been OVER FOUR MONTHS and my fence STILL ISN'T FINISHED!!!) One HUGE RED FLAG that everyone should know about UP-FRONT, is that THIS COMPANY SUBS THEIR JOBS OUT TO UNSUPERVISED FREELANCE SUBCONTRACTORS, who work for MULTIPLE fencing companies. What really disappointed me to learn, was not only does American Fence sub out their jobs, but that the subcontractors who they hire are allowed to run MULTIPLE "CREWS", which means that for the majority of the work that was performed on my property, the SUBCONTRACTOR who they hired (who may have actually been QUALIFIED to install my fence correctly) was not even present on my property to oversee the work being done, but instead other laborers where left here to perform the bulk of the work, often times without a CLUE what they were doing! They had no idea what type of fence they were supposed to be installing, which way the fence faced, how the chain-link was supposed to meet up with the aluminum, what the widths of the gates were, what hardware was supposed to be installed, where the fence lines were supposed to be placed, or generally how to install the materials correctly without damaging them! Then on managements side: the wrong STYLE of Radiance Aluminum fence was ordered and installed. The chain-link was never initially ordered, so we had to wait ANOTHER three weeks for it to come in, AFTER we had already waited a month for the aluminum. The correct hardware wasn't ordered. Their communication with the subs (and myself) was HORRIBLE! Management failed to relay the details of the job to their subs. My wife and I spent a GREAT DEAL OF TIME communicating with management about how we wanted the fence installed, but since management wasn't performing the work, that information never made it to the person's who needed it. When we tried to instruct the subs directly, their understanding of the English language was extremely limited and we never really knew if they understood what we were saying, until it was done wrong... again... Then the subs went away, leaving the fence improperly installed, with several damaged sections (both aluminum and chain link) from mishandling the materials during installation, and they have never returned to correct their work or fix the damage. I have reached-out to Milton and Eunice nearly 100 TIMES trying to get them to FINISH MY FENCE and FIX the damage caused by their subs! On a few occasions Milton came over himself for an hour or two, reset a couple of posts, installed some gate hardware, and made minor adjustments to our fence (which I assisted him with). Milton said that he's been unable to get his subs back out to my property because they have been busy working for another fencing company in Rutherford County. Yet for some reason Milton and Eunice have refused to hire another subcontractor to complete this work! (Milton told me that he has not paid the first subcontractor yet, so they should have the funds to hire someone else to COMPLETE my fence CORRECTLY!) I've lost days worth of MY TIME trying to supervise this project myself, communicating to Milton and Eunice what work is still outstanding, providing them with photos and videos of the damaged and incorrectly installed fence. Milton has promised me numerous times that the repairs would be COMPLETED by that "Wednesday", yet months keep rolling by! I PAID THEM in full for this fence at the contract signing on 3/19/2015. I'll NEVER make that mistake again! I have NO DOUBT that if I still owed them $2,500 that this job would have been done two months ago! Yet now week after week goes by and I hear nothing from them, unless I initiate it, again, and again, and again... The two things that disappoint me the most about Milton and Eunice (the owners of this company) is that their WORD doesn't seem to mean ANYTHING to them! They have failed to keep SO MANY COMMITMENTS without even showing me the courtesy of contacting me, to inform me what went wrong and reset the expectation for when they will complete that work. Secondly, they don't seem to take any PRIDE in the QUALITY of their WORK. Milton sees everything that I see, he KNOWS what is WRONG with my fence, but if I don't nag him about it every week, then I have no doubt that I'd never see him or anyone from his company again! Milton has come right out and told me before that he sees something wrong with my fence, but made no attempt to fix it, until I've found it and pressured him to make the correction. Where is the pride in that? What DOES their company BRAND represent? Likewise I found it disturbing that Milton looked for every possible way to BLAME ME for his subs mistakes. That his default assumption was that I was in error, until the evidence was overwhelming. He was not willing to take responsibility for the work performed by his subs, until he had no other reasonable choice. In my experience, the quality produced by their company is totally the luck of the draw, with whichever subcontractor that you get! The subs that they used on my job, I would have NEVER knowingly hired to install my fence! I hired American Fence because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Angie's List, after multiple correspondences with Milton, because I felt that I could safely TRUST them to install a HIGH QUALITY FENCE for me! I didn't go with the low bidder! American Fence was my HIGHEST BIDDER! Milton sold me on the QUALITY of the "Radiance Aluminum" that they offered, and I was convinced that American Fence was a HIGH QUALITY Brentwood residential fencing company. What I got was TOTALLY DIFFERENT THOUGH! In hindsight, I would have preferred a slightly lower grade fencing material (like "Elite") with a HIGHER QUALITY INSTALLATION any day of the week! I will acknowledge that in the BEGINNING, Milton was a tremendous help in assisting me with the PURCHASE of this fence. Milton took the time to really study my plans and educate me about the fencing materials available. Milton is a FANTASTIC SALES MAN! But AFTER he got my money, it was ALL down hill from there! 3-4 weeks for installation turned into 3-6 months! We passed the four month mark the other day since I handed them my pile of money and I'm still waiting... Milton and Eunice are very friendly personable people! I wouldn't mind going out to dinner with them, hanging out with them, shooting the breeze with them, but I would NEVER, EVER, EVER HIRE THEM AGAIN! Buyer BEWARE! At the very least, don't trust them with your money up-front!!! I sure wish that I hadn't! ******************************************************************************** UPDATE: 9/1/2015 Milton Thompson, the co-owner of American Fence and Gate, accused me of "EXTORTION" for trying to utilize the "Complaint Resolution Process" offered by Angie's List to resolve this matter. Then he THREATENED to take LEGAL ACTION against me for leaving a NEGATIVE REVIEW! How ARROGANT, BELITTLING, ATROCIOUS, and INSULTING his behavior has been throughout this project! Likewise, Milton has ACCUSED me repeatedly of "HARASSING" his company, throughout this job, for simply nagging them to FINISH what I ALREADY PAID THEM TO DO! I would have GLADLY said NOTHING had they simply PERFORMED THE WORK AS PROMISED! But American Fence and Gate REFUSED to do ANYTHING that I didn't PRESSURE them to do! They NEVER just did the "right" thing! They NEVER provided ANY internal QUALITY CONTROL over their SUBCONTRACTORS. I had to watch EVERYTHING that they did or else NO ONE DID! They tried to "GET AWAY WITH" anything and everything that THEY COULD! This project was NEVER COMPLETED TO MY SATISFACTION!!! Nor will it ever be by their company! After the legal threats by Milton Thompson, I informed him that American Fence and Gate is no longer welcome on my property. This was a six month trip to h***, courtesy of arrogance and greed, that ruined my entire summer! I will NEVER deal with these jokers again! Cody was very responsive and gave us an estimate. The cost came right in at the estimated price and the crew installed the fence in a very timely manner and on time. I would recommend Volunteer Fence to anyone.
ABC Fence Co didn't do a very good job. The crew had a hard time from the beginning placing the gates and getting the sizes right. They also quoted us that it would be finished in two or three days, but it's still not finished after a week.
I got estimates from four fence co's. Price wise, everyone was within a few hundred bucks. I first considered Prince's because of the number of positive reviews on Angie's List and other sites. What impressed me when getting estimates is that Chuck, the owner of the co., himself came out. Prince's was the only co. where I had that experience. They were also the first one to get back to me. Only one offering 3 yr labor guarantee. While they may be a smaller co. than some, they clearly wanted my business. Communication throughout was good. Install completed in one day. Final product very good

Great communication. Excellent in regard to competitive pricing. Friendly courteous service has earned myself as a life long customer. Thorough pick-up after job was complete and a great walk through when all done.
When the fencing was put up it looked fine, but as it weathered it buckled and broke. Ace Fence did not stand behind their product. We contacted them to fix it. They made the appointment but never showed up.
Mid-Ten Fencing went about their job very professionally. They did the job quickly, in about half a day. We had obtained quotes from two or three other companies and Mid-Ten had the best price, even agreeing to waive the rock-crushing machine fee.
B & B did a very poor job. The material they used for the fencing was not a good product. The workmanship left a lot to be desired. They also did damage to one of my trees. I would never hire this fencing company again or recommend them to anyone.
