Nashville Central Humidifier Installation

Gave us a good price compared to others. Kevin Boop was great to work with and helped with coordinating work as well as financing project and helping with tax credits later. Installation crew was great--showed up when they said they would be there and cleaned up after themselves. After installation had problem with damper getting hung up on insulation and came out promptly and fixed problem. Very satisfied with overall experience.

Although the Humidifier was installed, it was done installed completely. I had a plumber come out to do some other work and they found a piece of the humidifier the ground.

Job was install as described by two techs on time. System did need to be tweeted about a week later and MId-State was right on it. Mid-State installed my heating and air system when I first built my current home in 1999. They have always perform schedule maintenance. Would not have anyone else do the work.

This was a drawn out affair that involved twice replacing the humidifier with new models. Even though this required multiple troubleshooting trips and lots of time from A&M they never wavered. Through out the process A&M was responsive, punctual and honest. They are committed to doing a job right. I would hire them again and recommend them without hesitation

I contacted Temp Control for a quote after my normal HVAC technicians discovered that my 16-year-old humidifier had died. My HVAC company also provided a quote but I wanted to shop around. I hired Temp Control because, after doing some research, discovered they offered a steam humidifier with excellent quality reviews and also hired them because of their ratings on Angie's List. Everything went well. They answered a couple of questions I had about the product on the phone before I actually hired them. Once hired, they were punctual, clean and performed the work quickly. Although planning to snake some wires to my existing electrical box, they found that it would be best to put in a new box and actually did that at no additional charge. I was very pleased with their work.

Ray Goodman installer, first class! Hired for another job, buy and install a water heater. He was a no show for the job because he took another job in front of me. Probably for more money. Turns out I went to another plumbing company and the cost was considerably less. And they showed up!

It took a couple calls and callbacks to get my estimate from Don, but when he came in at $325 for this fairly complex and time consuming install, I decided that was a fair price and asked him to come take care of it. I am glad I did, he was great to work with. Don was flexible enough to work around my tough schedule schedule and got the job done on time. After he left I went under the house to inspect the job and am glad I did - the humidifier was leaking water into the crawl space. This was occruing because it was installed at too great an angle. If I hadn't crawled under the house, I probably would not have known about the problem until I got my water bill by which time I would have had a very damp crawlspace. Needless to say I was disappointed. When I called Don he was extremely apologetic and rushed back to correct the situation. He re-insallled the humidifier at the correct angle and it has been working great ever since. Because of the incorrect initial installation I can't give Don a perfect score, but his response when I reported the issue was great, he was great to work with and his price was fair, so I would use him again for HVAC services. One thing to note, he has moved shop to the suburbs and is no longer local to West Nashville. I may try someone more local next time.

David showed up on time and started going through our list of problems. We had numerous original water shut off valves that wouldn't shut off all the way and we wanted an estimate on replacing our whole house humidifier. He replaced the defective gate valves with the proper ball type valves and re-piped and properly insulated the main shut-off. When he looked at the humidifier, he told us he would be happy to replace it, but it wasn't necessary on our type of furnace. David noticed our water heater and suggested some more energy efficient types when it needed to be replaced.

We were very pleased with Kuhn Air Conditioning. We had three estimates from three different companies. Chose Kuhn Air Conditioning because of price, knowledge of the system we needed and the fact that the owner is the person we were dealing with throughout the process.

My old system was at least 17 years old and starting to act up and require expensive repairs. I called another company first and their repairman seemed to push pretty hard to sell us a new unit plus humidifier and revamping some duct work, and left us with pretty sketchy written estimates. Based on Angie's List reports, I called Tom Watson to come out to review the situation. Tom gave me detailed written estimates that were several hundred dollars lower than the other company for the SAME UNITS, didn't think there was any problem with the ducts, and didn't think a humidifier was worth the expense until I had a chance to live with the new system first and see if the comfort was sufficiently improved without a humidifier. He recommended what he thought was most cost-effective for my situation, and it was not the most expensive of the systems quoted. The work was done on time with no problems, tested and adjusted and re-tested, and he thoroughly explained the new programmable thermostat.
