Needed to get gas lines installed for new stove, dryer, and water heater. They ran all the new gas lines, upgraded the pipes and got the permits for gas meter replacement. They also replaced my 80gal electric water heater with a tankless system. This took about 2 days, but each day they restored all services so that we were not without. Great job

Hiller Plumbing Heating Cooling & Electrical

$1427 charge was after senior discount and coupon. Piedmont Gas detected large gas leak under residence concrete slab. Considered an emergency. Needed plumber so called Hiller at 3 pm Fri and tech came at 6 pm. Am well aware of Hiller being notoriously high priced, but also do good work. Because it was the weekend, did not have time to get other multiple estimates and research. Hiller tech began to schedule another contractor to come to jackhammer INSIDE home to find leak and replace lines. What?! No way! This rep had never done work in this large condo development and apparently was unaware of the standard method of dealing with gas leaks here: reroute into the attic (per Piedmont rep). After informing Hiller tech of the reroute he stated that he could do that. Scheduled for next day at 8 am Sat . Tech was polite, personable, professional, and efficient. Began work as scheduled; however job took 10 hours (in miserable conditions)! Estimated at 4 hrs. Yikes! And he was dispatched to another job after this one. There appear to be MANAGEMENT ISSUES here to be addressed: A. Weekdays there are 2 techs to do this type of job but only 1 on weekends. Good grief! How can 1 person do the job of 2 as well over such a long time frame? The human body does not know weekdays from weekends. It is not my business how Hiller conducts its business unless it affects job performance and outcome. Then it is my concern. Hopefully this tech had the skill level and body physiology to do as well alone over 10 hours in extreme heat in an unfinished attic as would have done with 2 techs in half the time. Heat in the attic must have been between 112-120 degrees (unbearable to me) with outdoor temp in mid 80s. What happens when temp is in mid-to-high 90s or 100s? The tech did not complain or make any comments. There are potential medical issues here - dehydration and heat stroke - both serious and affecting performance in anyone. Why not have techs on call for true emergencies on weekends rather than fully staff. Maybe get cooling fans (regular wouldn't help) or cooling vest or cooling scarfs etc. Spend on critical employee safety and performance and cut on advertising - (enough is enough already for adv). B. Need training for Hiller techs or review for how to deal with residences on concrete slabs with pipes under slab. Review ALL options before bringing out the jackhammers which are a near traumatic solution for some people like the elderly, those with respiratory issues, the handicapped or disabled, those with stress issues, those with pets, etc. Would hire this Hiller tech independently anytime, but doubt I would call Hiller again, depending on job- at least not until Hiller recognizes weekend techs more and provides for health hazards. "Happy . . . . . .. . "? The Hiller tech on this job deserves a bonus for hazard heat pay or at least a complimentary lunch out for recognition and appreciation as well as other techs who have worked in such extreme heat long hours

I called Piedmont Natural Gas to see if I had a gas leak. Indeed I did. They found 3 leaks in a gas line installed several weeks prior by another group. They also found a new leak in an old line. Because of the leaks Piedmont shut off and locked my gas meter. I called several companies to try and get someone out the same day. MJ Frick was able to get a crew over within hours. They were friendly and knowledgeable. They quickly installed the black pipe and tested it. After another 15 minutes, they found the other leak and fixed it. They pressure tested the gas line and we were good to go. My family and I are VERY thankful for the speedy service and the quick resolution. It was a cold night and we really did want to have our heat on

Arrived on time, I explained that a home inspector stated there was a small gas leak in the attic where the gas line connected to furnace. He reviewed the situation, returned to his truck for tools and had the job completed within about 20 minutes. Great experience and fair price.

They were punctual and professional but overall I thought the price was way over the top for the work completed. One problem with the work is the dryer gas line is loose in the floor. The plumber stated that it couldn't be secured and that I could caulk it to hold it in place. After charging me $45 for a gas line for the dryer that sells at Lowe's for about $20 I thought it best to cut my losses and have someone else fix the remaining shower valve. Their big selling point is the 5yr warranty on all work but I feel this is used to justify high prices on work that will most likely not fail in either case

Excellent. Michael provided us with a computer drawing of our future project, a budget up front , a timeline that worked for us. The work started on time, completed on time, stayed on budget, and turned out better than the computer drawing.... His crew was very professional . The mechanical contractors (Electric, gas line, and plumbers) were outstanding also.....

ARS has been late the last 3 times I have used them, and when the tech arrived, he didn't know what he was even there to do. He didn't have the right equipment and we had to reschedule and take more time off work. Then, he couldn't fix the problem and referred us. Another visit resulted in an $1800 charge. We were told the tech is at liberty to guesstimate the charge and he overpriced because he really didn't want to do the job. The tech "told" us this. We ended up getting another company to do the work for 1/3rd the price that ARS quoted. Also, dispatch is extremely rude when answering the phone

It went very well. We called to see if it would be possible to run the gas line to the kitchen. They came out and gave us a couple of options and when we purchased the range, they came out and did the work.

Had a gas line leak in my attic and called my home warranty company. They dispatched a ticket to All Things Maintenance who came out first thing the next morning immediately after they got the claim. Got my leak fixed and made sure everything was working fine.

called to inquire about installing a flare fitting on a gas line. He did not give me a quote and said that there would be a travel charge for the work I was wanting performed. it clearly states on his profile on Angies list that there are no travel charges.

ARVINS PLUMBING

Well, it was fairly expensive, $1500, but not untoward. We got a bigger unit, a gas one, and a lot of the plumbing connections needed replacing. So We were satisfied. The owner came out with the assigned plumbers to make sure everything was done correctly. All of the fittings were done right and everything has worked perfectly since. My next door neighbor called Hiller - another plumber, HVAC company on the list - because his ac tanked. They initially put in the wrong unit and had to come back out to replace it. Then he had a problem with the gas line and had the gas company out to fix it. Come to find out, he might not have needed a new ac unit in the first place. The whole thing was probably just a gas line problem. I think the integrity and skill of who you hire to do the work is critical. I would definitely recommend Arvin again

Everything went fine. The entire crew was professional and efficient. Their positive attitudes and humor while working together provided much needed relief as I dealt with the unknowns of remodeling a kitchen.
We have a long-term relationship with Brentwood Comfort Control, and they always make sure all of our HVAC units are functioning properly. One of our AC units failed (due to old age) and Brentwood Comfort Control was on site the same morning that we called them to assess the situation. They had the replacement unit in stock and arrived as scheduled to install the new unit. Their technicians were efficient and professional
They were top notch. They were professional, prompt and took time to explain what they were doing. I actually signed up for a maintenance package with them.
When I called them to do the service my number was taken and they called me back within minutes. I told them it wasn't an emergency so they scheduled me at my leisure... Which was only two days away. The tech arrived promptly at the scheduled time and went over the job. The house had a gas range at one time years ago, but the line was gone. He discovered it was removed from teh kitchen and moved to fuel an outdoor grill and that a new line would have to be run to the kitchen area. He explained my options and costs associated with each. We went with a more expensive product so we could keep labor costs (time) down. He got the job done in no time flat and did a great job in keeping everything clean and looking good. He tested my range and re-lit my water heater while he was there. He tested every connection for leaks and was on his way. This is my second time this year using Bradley's and I can't say enough about them. Honest company doing quality work. That's getting hard to find these days!!
