We had a toilet leak which resulted in having to remove everything including the wooden flooring. The first call I made was to Sheila, who told me don't worry everything will be ok, Chaz can fix that. We were scheduled 2 weeks out which was perfectly fine with me, I would rather wait for Chaz to be free as I have used him before and I know he will do the job right and that is the most important. The next day Sheila called me and told me to check out a flooring product that she had used in her own home. Needless to say, I checked it out, was very impressed, saved myself a lot of money and will be using more of it in my home. As soon as the dogs saw his truck pull up they went crazy and were waiting for him by the back door. Chaz as usual was punctual, cheerful, came with snacks for the dogs and was ready to tackle the job at hand. I learned so much by asking him questions and watching him at various stages, he is such a patient teacher and no question is a stupid question. The remodel proved tricky in places as the walls are certainly not straight and the plumbing was a little off but Chaz worked his magic and although we could of cut corners to make the job easier, Chaz WILL NOT cut corners, he would rather think about it, come up with a solution and do it right, even if it means extra work for him. If you want a handyman that is honest, trustworthy with a great sense of humor that will only do things the right way and will leave you with an awesome result, Chaz is your man. They will always be my first call for everything because I know I will be in safe hands.

He was very quick to return my call. He set up an appointment in the same week. I had several things to be done, but he quickly realized I had not ordered all of the required parts to finish all of the job. He finished everything he could on the first call and told me exactly how to order the missing parts to save me some money. When the new parts came in a week later, he set another appointment and came back and finished. We feel very lucky to have found such an honest and capable plumber.

Sullivan Home Service

Mr. Sullivan had recently completed a repair for us, cleaning and resealing the grout in a tiled whirlpool tub and shower. He did an excellent job, and I asked him whether he could also fix the water damage caused by a combination of these leaks and a flood from our washing machine. Our dining room ceiling had suffered significant staining, buckling, and cracking across an 8 by 10 foot area. Mr. Sullivan assessed the damage, and quoted us $450.00 for repairs. This was very reasonable; we had two other estimates, one of which was slightly higher, the other of which was much higher. Mr. Sullivan was also able to do the work within a week. The other service providers couldn't fit us in for at least a month. Mr. Sullivan arrived promptly at 9 a.m. on Monday, 23 June, and began work immediately. We were away from the house for large parts of the day; we gave him a key so he could come and go as needed. We had no hesitation whatsoever in doing this. Mr. Sullivan does meticulous, high-quality work. He is efficient in his approach, but he takes the time he needs to finish the job to his satisfaction. He patched the damaged drywall, re-nailed it where it had pulled free of its fastenings, resealed the seams, replaced the ceiling fixtures, sanded, primed, and painted. At the end of the day, the ceiling looked as if it had never been damaged. Mr. Sullivan is a true craftsman, and I strongly recommend him for any job that falls within his wide range of expertise.

The serviceman arrived within the stated time period. He explained the check out procedure that he was there to do. We began a check of the house that included all plumbing fixtures, We went under the house for an inspection of the water lines and sewer system. We discussed water pressure and the in coming water pressure was checked at the outside hose bib, [60psi]. Drained the hot water heater and inspected the andiod rod for amount of corrosion and discussed the time left before a new rod would be necessary. The tank was refilled the power turned back on. Recommendations where discussed. I was impressed and have been put at ease by the inspection.

From start to finish the quality of the work, craftsmanship and attention to detail was exceptional. The precision of his tile installation and woodworking skills surpassed my expectations. Put me in touch with granite warehouses and was able to hand pick my slab. Wanted something unique and different and found it. Dwayne delivered on the installation and end result is fantastic. Very personable reliable affordable and trustworthy. Stayed within budget and timeline proposed. Would and will utilize his varied services again. Highly recommend you hire him!

Hiller Plumbing Heating Cooling & Electrical

They were punctual and professional but overall I thought the price was way over the top for the work completed. One problem with the work is the dryer gas line is loose in the floor. The plumber stated that it couldn't be secured and that I could caulk it to hold it in place. After charging me $45 for a gas line for the dryer that sells at Lowe's for about $20 I thought it best to cut my losses and have someone else fix the remaining shower valve. Their big selling point is the 5yr warranty on all work but I feel this is used to justify high prices on work that will most likely not fail in either case.

I give Andy and his team an A! They were very courteous, professional, and took time to explain options and implications. The work was delivered with consistent quality and Andy's ability to explain the underlying causes and how to prevent future issues is something that far exceeded my expectations. The projects completed by Andy and his team were wide ranging - from reconstructing columns and wood work on the front entrance of my house to installing plumbing and lighting fixtures, fixing drywall, laying new floors, and staining a swingset. Andy and his team were also able to successfully complete two projects that previous people I have hired were unable to figure out. Andy's initial responsiveness to my inquiry was surprisingly fast - it was the same day. This is something that I think is not typical or normal for Andy's responsiveness. I have usually been able to reach Andy and get a response within a day or two, but he actually does work and is not just a supervisor, so sometimes it can take longer. Andy and his team always seem to have a lot of work going on - this can make scheduling a challenge, but hiring someone who is always in demand can be a reflection of the quality of their work. Andy was also very flexible at adding-on other miscellaneous projects as they came up. For example, he agreed to even move some firewood from one part of my yard to another. There were some projects that Andy couldn't do once he got into them. Although I'm disappointed that I still have some work to do, I'm glad that Andy was honest about things that didn't make sense for him to do. We ran way over the initial estimate, but that was based on our mutual agreement throughout the work. Some of the work was exploratory and other parts were things I added. There are some things that I could have done myself to save some money, but the quality and satisfaction I have for having this work completed is well worth the investment in Andy and his team. As with anyone you would hire, I found that setting and managing expectations I had of Andy and his team really helped. I had to have expectations that were consistent with what you should expect for this type of service. I found working with Andy to be a very collaborative and positive experience.

I was so thrilled with his work. He came out and he wrote out all that had to be done and called back with a quote and a day he could do the work. He was able to do the work while I was at work so that was a huge plus. So happy with back door that I asked him to come back and also install a screen door. I can't wait for my next project. He is definitely on my call back list! Thank you!

The job scope entailed: - demo the existing master bath in a 2007 house: remove plastic shower, 6' jacuzzi tub and old tile (vanity & mirror to remain) - remove floor-to-ceiling wall between the old tub/shower - build a knee wall to enable a 5' tub and larger shower, opening up the space - build a bench and storage areas in the shower - tile the floor/shower/walls - install glass wall between the tub/shower, and glass door for the shower - move the pocket closet back wall 2' forward to make the closet usable - install new plumbing fixtures throughout - install new lights/fans (five) - install new TP holder, towel bar, grab bar, robe hooks, and towel rings - paint the walls, ceilings and trim We were impressed with Mike from our initial meeting. He scoped out the space and offered detailed advice on construction and design elements. Quickly provided a Very detailed estimate with clear payment terms. Mike told us he's never had a serious call-back due to quality issues; we could tell he takes a great amount of pride in his work - probably the reason for no call-backs. Mike's focus on the quality of work drove our decision, and now at project end we are happy we went with Complete Home Services. Demolition took one day. Then there was a scope change. Mike discovered the sub-floor needed better support (in the crawl space, for the new tile) and there was a 3" PVC pipe inside the wall (for Radon removal from the crawl space) that nobody knew was there. Those changes added about a week to the project. After change decisions were made, the re-construction happened quickly. Mike was always punctual, showing up at 7:45am each day, and we established a stable work routine. When laborers or subs were needed, Mike took care of all the details with them. But, he did most of the work himself. And, the work progressed well. Whenever there was a question, or a decision needed that involved the homeowners, Mike always asked first instead of making an assumption. We really appreciated this aspect of Mike's work. We were directly involved in the important decisions along the way, instead of walking in a couple days later and saying "why did you do it that way." Net - there was very direct and open line of communication between us throughout the project. The pictures show the before/after views of our bathroom. The glass has not yet been installed (next Wednesday). We decided to post the pics now so you can better see the spaces. There will be a glass wall resting on the knee wall between the tub and shower, and of course a glass door in front of the shower. This was not an easy project. The scope change was a challenge, and Mike worked through it in a very professional manner. The angles/spaces in relation to the 1' x 2' tile we chose required more cuts than would a "square" bathroom. If you closely observe the quality of tile installation, especially the walls and around the window and tub, you will get a feel for how much precision and passion Mike puts into his work. The finished product is beautiful. Finally! +100 and we would not hesitate to hire Mike again on future projects. Best regards, RCB

Recent Review: This job involved major work, such as pulling out old hardwood floors and carpet, installing new laminate flooring throughout downstairs, and new carpet on stairs and throughout upstairs. It also included painting of walls and popcorn ceilings as well as trim and kitchen cabinets. It alsoThe included wall repairs in the living room, dining room, and laundry room, a baseboard repair in living room, installation of two new faucets, re-glazing of bathroom tile floors and grout, and painting of front and back doors. Scott and his team were on time and completed the job in the time-frame promised. They were pleasant and responsive to our questions. We are giving them a B rather than an A because they failed to do some work that had been agreed upon, particularly plumbing repairs under kitchen sink and in upstairs bathroom, and they did not clean up after themselves, leaving paint in the kitchen sink and paint residue on stairway hand rails. We had to call them back to have the bathroom re-glazing completed and to have the bathroom doors re-hung.The doors were stacked against newly painted wall in the master-bedroom, requiring touch-up paint later. We had to hire another workman to come in and make the kitchen and upstairs bath plumbing repairs, remove the garbage disposal and install a new one, and re-paint the front door (because the door had been closed before the paint had dried). With a bit more attention to detail and a final inspection process, including a follow-up conversation to be sure everything was completed to satisfaction, we believe Installer Direct could be a top-notch team. We would consider using Installer Direct in the future for carpet or flooring installation but probably not for other work.

Recent Review: Todd and crew did an outstanding job. Todd responded quickly to my first inquiry even though he was out of town, and was at my house with the new tankless heater as soon as he returned in a couple of days. He explained how everything worked, and he and Tim worked hard to get the tankless unit installed, which required a good deal of electrical work. Everything was done well, and they were pleasant and respectful of my property (even though it was only my very messy garage), They tested the unit thoroughly before leaving to make sure everything was working to my satisfaction. Todd and his crew are great and I would recommend them to anyone.

Recent Review: David and his team are top notch. As a business owner myself, the best compliment I can give he and his team is that I trust them, which can be difficult to find sometimes in this line of work. His quotes are always very detailed in nature, which is echoed by his attention to detail on any project. A+++ A few projects include: - Complete master bath redesign with unique one-of-a-kind tiling - Heated floor installations - Hardwood installations - Removal of load barring wall and installation of solid beam - New bathroom build - Plumbing, Electrical and Painting

Recent Review: On Sunday evening Jessica responded to my request for pros within 3 minutes of my posting it. She made arrangements for Greg to come the next day. He determined that the regulator valve was under warranty and made arrangements to have the replacement part shipped out for next day installation. On Tuesday, Hank came out and installed the part and I now have hot water (and a pile of laundry to do). Overall the team was quick, effective, and efficient. I highly recommend Southern Service.
