Never had another problem. Because he had to return, he offered to come a third time to buff the tub... which he did. Very pleased with his service

Miracle Method
Overall I had a very positive experience with Miracle Method, and would use them again, but don't be deceived by their Angie's List coupon/discount, because it isn't quite as good as it sounds. It is true that they refinished my tub for $500, but apparently that doesn't count removing the old finish which they still charged an additional $170 for, so the tub wasn't truly refinished for $500. Still, the coupon saved my about $50 so at least that's something. To focus on the positives, first and foremost, the actual job they did was fantastic. The tub I was refinishing was kind of a disgusting nightmare and it really looks better than new now, and it was all done in basically a day. They also did a fine job re-caulking around it. I had a very good experience with both the person who did the estimate, and the one who did the actual work. They were very professional and provided excellent communication. I would happily use them again and encourage others to do so. It is possible that there are people out there that may be cheaper, but Miracle Method was reasonable and most importantly, did a great job

For anyone thinking about resurfacing a tub, the only person I would call is Kenny at Tub Tile and Tops. I talked to six different companies before contracting Tub Tile and Tops for my tub because my needs were a little special. I have a stamped steel tub, which is not very thick metal, and it had pre-existing rust near the drain area when I bought my house. Since most of the bathroom is nice ceramic tile and it is right up to the edge of the tub, replacing the tub would be a big job and very expensive. I figured it would make sense to make a smaller investment to try to save the tub. Kenny was up front that rust is extremely difficult to stop, just like with a car, and he cannot give a warranty for rust issues, which was a more nuanced response than any other resurfacer would give me. Given my experience with Ohio cars (rusting from road salt), I knew Kenny was being more honest than the other contractors. Kenny's employee did a terrific job with the tub, and it looks beautiful. There is a non-slip grit in the surface so we don't fall in the tub. Recently, a little rust broke through the tub again near the drain (about 9 months to a year later), so Kenny came out himself at no charge and touched it up, even though I was aware this was a risk and I figured this was on me. He's truly a stand-up guy, and very trustworthy, plus I observed that he has a lot of experience in how to handle tub issues. For the price, this resurfacing is worth it to me just to try to get a few more years out of this tub, since so many other parts of my house need major work and I can't do everything at once. I'm glad I called Kenny for this job because it allows me to get more use out of what I have. He responds quickly when you call or email, and he cares about quality rather than turning and burning like so many other companies. I like that he gave me the right advice on what to expect along the way

They removed the old door frame patched the rivet holes and recoated it in white. They also put a non slip pattern in the bottom and removed hand rails that were installed for the previous owners. It looks like a brand new shower insert.

We purchased an investment property and needed to have the cabinets refaced and the fiberglass tubs refinished prior to renting it. We contacted Bill at Surface Medic and set up an appointment for the day we closed on the property. He was on time and had a nice selection of cabinet surfaces to choose from. We got estimates from a couple of other providers, and Bill definitely had the largest selection of samples. He did a nice job of explaining the refacing process. He also gave us a bid on refinishing two fiberglass tubs that were in good shape, but their surface was dull and rough. We subsequently ended up asking him to also refinish the bathroom sinks. We chose him because we liked the idea of using one person to do the cabinets and the tubs, and his price was competitive. At the time he was offering a 10% discount if you mentioned his website. He was cheerful about giving us the discount. We paid half the cost of the job when he ordered the cabinets, and the other half at the end of the job. Bill had told us it would take about 2&1/2 weeks for the cabinet materials to arrive and 2 days to install them. In the interim he completed the bathroom work. The cabinet materials arrived on time, and he promptly set up an install date. As promised, they were installed in two days. We purchased the knobs, and he put those on at no additional charge. At the end of the job I noticed that one of the cabinet surfaces was chipped. Bill agreed to order another piece to replace the chipped one. It took about a week to get that in and install it. We're very happy with the way the cabinets look. Refacing is a cost effective way to give your kitchen a face lift without the expense of installing new cabinets. We would use Surface Medic again for cabinet refacing. My only complaint was I wish he had done a better job of cleaning up after he finished. Each time he left we had to vacuum the kitchen and clean out the sink. We were not as happy with the tub/sink refinishing. We expected a smooth surface, but there are small bumps that are very noticeable when running your hand across the surface. We've had tub refinishing done in the past by another provider, and the quality was better. In hindsight, we would have used Surface Medic for the cabinet refacing but not the tub refinishing

It took about 5 weeks for the shutters to come in and only a few hours to install everything. They are perfect. I always buy from Home Depot - especially this one. They are friendly, attentive, and have amazing follow through

My husband and I just purchased a new home that needed quite a few repairs. The master bath was in bad shape. The home inspector said the shower pan needed to be refinished ASAP or it would need to be replaced in the near future (very costly). He specifically said to find a professional who specialized in fiberglass ~ not a handyman. So I signed into Angie's List and found Darryl. Upon our initial conversation he asked that I send him pictures of the damage. He gave me options for both the shower pan and the double sink vanity. He let me know that the shower pan could either be patched or completely refinished ~ the patching he said would be much less expensive. He also said the sink bowls could be refinished. Larry showed up as scheduled. Unfortunately due to a misunderstanding between Darryl and I, Larry didn't have the equipment to repair the sinks. Larry did explain the options concerning the bowls. Larry did a beautiful job on the shower pan ~ it looks and feels brand new!! I spoke with Darryl about the misunderstanding on the vanity. He followed up with Larry then sent me a very detailed email explaining what could and could not be done. The severe damage to the vanity top could not be repaired but the bowls could be refinished. I opted to just have the top replaced. I really appreciate the fact that Darryl gives you options on the repairs. He could have easily taken advantage of my husband and I but he didn't. It's so refreshing to deal with a business owner who is honest and has integrity. I will definitely refer Darryl and his company to my friends and family. I have already told my real estate agent about them

I made an appointment with Dennis to look at 3 small plumbing issues we were having at a recently purchased investment property. He replaced a bathtub overflow drain so the tub would drain properly. The bathroom sink had low water pressure. He reached underneath and fully opened up the water flow. That was a "duh" moment for me and we both got a chuckle out of it. Lastly, the kitchen faucet was making a shuddering noise when the water was turned on. I thought possibly the water pressure was too high or perhaps the problem was related to a water filter installed by the previous owner, but Dennis investigated several possibilities and concluded it was the faucet itself. I didn't ask him to replace it because that's something I can do myself. He did remove and dispose of the old water filter, which I appreciated. Overall I was happy with his service and his price, and I would use him again. He's professional and pleasant, and I appreciated that he took the time to explain what he was doing each step of the way
