Ambient Bamboo Floors Inc

They're awesome. Their prices were reasonable compared to other companies I had looked into. The products are probably something that I'll ever use in my life. The salespeople I dealt with were fantastic. Anytime I send them an e-mail, I get a reply back from them. They were willing to deliver to wherever I needed it delivered. Everything was on time. The product is as awesome as one would think. They even do a photo contest for people that have installed their floors. If you win the contest, they send you an American Express gift card which is kinda cool

Great experience. we new the material we needed called for an estimate, they provided the estimate and we went over to pick it up. Material requested was ready for pick up, no hassles, the order was correct.

Very nice job on the Bamboo Floor. No complaints. They rebuilt 7 stairs and stained them. In general a great job. I think the finishing for the other parts could have a little been better. Stair risers were left Primed instead of painted. They cleaned up OK. I had to do some myself. I will defiantly still hire them again. I would just be more attentive to certain details, instead of assuming they will get done

Overall it went well. The Bamboo floor installers were real pros and installed it very quickly, and even cut some custom thresh they gave me no charge for a bit of the house they weren't working on. The Marmoleum flooring was a bit of a different story. The inlay in the kitchen did not go smoothly and they had to fix it a couple of times, but Nashville Carpet stood by me and made their contractors redo it. They then insisted on the head installer coming to make sure the upstairs inlay was done correctly. Tom Timlin was great to work with and I highly recommend them

they were outstanding. did a very good job, very quick, showed up on time, cleaned up very well afterwards, very pleasant and professional. my only comment is that we hired them through Home Depot, and it was clear that they were very sensitive to their relationship with Home Depot, since they probably get a lot of business from them. this gives the home owner more power. I don't know what it would be like hiring them directly, probably a little cheaper, but I would hire them through H.D. again because of the leverage you get with that

See above. Don't believe them when they say the floor is acclimating as the cause of the noise and that it will settle down as the cause for the unevenness. Make sure they protect vents, floor, etc. Should have done wood floor after tile work. When confronted over anything, they will say it is your fault

In 1975 a previous owner of our home did a remodeling job that included adding a master bedroom off the back side of the house. Because the property slopes down from the front to the rear of the property, this bedroom is about 10 feet above ground. Underneath the bedroom is our carport. Wall-to-wall carpeting was laid throughout the main living area, including the master bedroom. Over the last several years I had taken up the carpeting in the house, everywhere except this master bedroom. Well, after 39 years, the carpet was getting pretty tired. Also, it is a good dust collector. So, we decided to replace it with a new floor. A bit of evaluation showed that installing new flooring would first require ripping out the carpet and padding, then removing the particleboard underneath. This was more work than I wanted to do on my own, so I went to Angie's List and searched for flooring companies with high ratings. Since we wanted to look at samples and go over options, we limited our choices to companies that also had a brick-and-mortar store where we could handle samples and talk about options. We looked at various floor materials, such as laminate, hardwood (e.g., oak), engineered wood, and processed wood such as stranded bamboo, and eucalyptus. We compared nail-down, glue-down, and floating. We did not want glue-down because of the chemical vapors. We settled on a floating floor, and selected stranded bamboo that has been processed to increase its density and hardness. A floating floor can also be laid over a cushioning material, such as cork, which adds insulation (both thermal and acoustic) and provides a softer feel when walked on. Two companies provided quotes for the work. Initially the two quotes were within a few hundred dollars of each other. Quote #1 was for a floating bamboo floor over a fiber underlayment. Quote #2, from R & S Flooring, was for a nail-down bamboo floor with only a moisture barrier underlayment. Since I wanted a floating floor, I leaned toward quote #1 even though it was the higher cost. However, when I reviewed the quotes, I discovered that quote #1 had miscalculated the square footage by about 20% less than actual. When I brought this to the attention of the provider, he agreed that it was wrong, and his quote went up by 20%. That put the dollar value at over $1000 more than quote #2. So, I contacted R & S Flooring and asked them if they would consider the proposition that I would buy all the material (flooring + underlayment) and they would install the flooring. R & S Flooring agreed, and they provided a new quote for the labor. They also gave me an installation date that was way sooner than I expected. Like, I ordered the flooring on the Monday after Black Friday (December 1) and they installed it on December 9. I ordered the bamboo from Cali Bamboo. They have a "standard" click-and-lock and a "wide plank" click-and-lock. The wide plank type is 5/8 inch thick, about 5 inches wide, and 72 inches long per plank. I got the wide plank. It has a 50 year warranty, by the way. The underlayment is Quiet ComfortPLUS, which is 1/8 inch cork with a bonded plastic moisture barrier. The bedroom is 376 square feet, and I bought 400 square feet of the bamboo flooring, plus 4 rolls of the cork underlayment (about 425 sq. ft.) for a total cost of $2291 in materials. I will note here that my total cost of materials plus labor ended up to be only $3900! (Remember quote #1? It was over $5000!) On December 9, the R & S Installer team showed up at 8:15am. Three men plus power saws and other tools. They set to work and in two hours, the carpet and particleboard were out of the bedroom. That amazed me. Then they began laying the new floor. The head guy and I went over the direction that I wanted the planks to go, and he showed me how the cork underlayment plastic layer had a way to overlap the plastic from one strip of underlayment to the next. The installer from R & S told me that I probably should have purchased more and that he might run out due to cutting and fitting. However, these installers were professionals, for sure, because they had enough to do the floor and give me about 5 planks for any repairs that might be needed down the road. After the floor was laid, they added quarter-round molding throughout the bedroom. They also put down two tee-molding pieces for two doorways, which I had neglected to purchase. These were provided at no extra cost, too. The entire floor installation was done by 3:15pm, about 7 hours after they started. Later that day, another crew came and picked up all the carpet and particleboard waste material. During the installation, someone from the R & S Flooring office called me to make sure that everything was going OK. A word about the installer crew. They were very professional. Nobody smoked, which was nice because my wife is allergic to tobacco smoke. Nobody yelled. They asked if it was all right to listen to music (I said it was OK), and the music was not loud when they did play it. They cleaned up after themselves. After the floor was installed, I was able to walk on it immediately, and it totally exceeds my expectations. I would not hesitate to hire R & S Flooring again if I ever need more work done

I have been very satisfied with the work. Jim is very professional and is a great worker. His crew is clean and professional. His work is not low quality so his price is a little higher, but you get what you pay for. His follow up is excellent and prompt. I once had a problem and they came out quick to help remedy the issue

Corlew & Perry Flooring moved the furniture themselves, so I didn't have to pay a moving company. They moved the furniture from side to side so that they matched the floors. They completed the floor in parts and were able to match the floor completely. The price was on the high end of average, but that included moving the furniture

Neuroh Hardwood Flooring

My floors look fantastic. I had a an existing golden oak finish on my old hardwoods that needed to go! Kyle and his team refinished the existing flooring and added new hardwood in my bedrooms. They recommended using a Rubio Monocoat finish. This finish was exactly what I wanted. The transition between the existing floors and the new flooring is seamless. My floors have a beautiful, soft patina but no harsh shine. I would highly recommend Kyle and his team

VERCHOTA FLOORS
5.0
In Feb 2015, I sustained water damage to my hardwood floor in the kitchen due to ice damming. I searched Angie's List for a good and reputable hardwood floor company that would repair my damaged flooring. I quickly found Verchota Floors to be at the top of the list. I contacted them and spoke with Ann and asked her if someone could come out and give me an estimate to repair the damage. Ann was very friendly and professional and within a few days, Lawrence Verchota came to my house and provided me with a written estimate. Lawrence was very friendly, punctual and professional. He told me that they could replace just the damaged floor and that there was no need to replace the entire hardwood floor. I also received estimates from two other hardwood floor companies and Verchota Floors had the lowest estimate of the 3 flooring companies. After contracting with Verchota Floors to do the work, they ordered my hardwood flooring and once it arrived in shop, they scheduled my repair with a few weeks. On the day of the repair, two workers arrived on time and within 2.5 hours, they had my old damaged floor removed and the new hardwood installed. These guys did an amazing job and the floor looks great! These guys were very friendly and professional and they cleaned up all the mess left behind from the repair work. I would highly recommend Verchota Floors to anyone looking for a good, friendly and professional hardwood floor company
The Lee Company technician arrived within the time window, and did a very thorough job cleaning the refrigerator coils, filters, plus. In addition, he was exceptional careful not to damage our wood floors while moving the unit. The dishwasher and disposal were also inspected and cleaned. I would definitely recommend Lee Company
Had another floor guys bail out on me last minute ... Called Flavio on a SUNDAY and he came out that evening to look at the job. Flavio advised me of my best options and gave me a solid estimate. He was able to get it done the same week. Floors look like brand new wood floors now. He left the house clean and dust free just like before the job. Highly recommend. I will use Flavio again the next time i need floor work done
I had originally got this flooring company from a local Nashville Realtor whom has used Carpet LadiesCo. for both residential and commercial flooring projects. I trust my Realtor and believe he would not steer me wrong - Overall great experience A+ Just wanted to let other single mothers know that working with Carpet Ladies Company ( a mobile flooring store ) was truly a wonderful experience. All the ladies with this company that I had contact with seemed to have the knowledge regarding my flooring products and to really care about the outcome of my project. The technical information was important to me since it was my first large flooring project of this kind and relocating to another home making so many decisions. With my hectic schedule they were able to bring me tons of laminate samples along with plenty of varieties of carpet styles. I highly recommend this company to family & friends who do not want to run around all over town or drag their kids into a flooring store. They make it real easy to buy flooring !! You don't just want to like your floors - you want to LOVE them & that's how I feel after my installation was done. My job was done on time and the installers even cleaned up their mess. This company is worth hiring again for any future project. Basically, you can buy and have installed the same flooring products sold at most retail stores for less money
Angel and his crew went above and beyond in installing our floors. Their prices were reasonable and they respected the living area. No damage and the floors are beautiful. Also, completed on time. Highly recommend.
I am very happy with every aspect of the work done. The jobs were completed surprisingly fast with immaculate attention to detail, thoroughly performed and well thought out. Bonus points for being so friendly and good with kids and dogs!
Bob and his crew recently replaced the entire hardwood floor in the living room of my beautiful historic farmhouse after some joists and part of the subfloor had rotted. This was a floor that another vendor had installed as new in 2014 (prior to my owning the home), but apparently they neglected to install a moisture barrier and this part of the house has no crawlspace. Bob quickly assessed the root of the problem, provided me with advice and options and gave a fair and reasonable estimate to repair the floor. He and the crew took the floor down to the bare dirt and replaced all joists and subfloors, then installed a new, custom hardwood floor, They then sanded the rest of the existing hardwoods throughout the downstairs and re-stained and sealed everything to a gorgeous new finish. In Bob's words, they installed 'the floors this house deserves.' Their work was meticulous with both the floors and my possessions. They moved the furniture with great care, covered the kitchen cabinets in plastic throughout the project, then vacuumed, dusted, and put everything back in its original place when they were done. From start to finish, the job took only about seven working days, with the Thanksgiving holiday in the middle. These guys are friendly, professional and hard working and I cannot say enough good things about them. I highly recommend them for any flooring or remodeling project. They are truly the best
Roni was wonderful . He responded to my request very quickly quoted me a price and was out the next day. Him and his crew got the job done in 4 or 5 hours. Very professional would hire again.
Mr. Elmore of Buffing Brother's was absolutely great! Prompt, professional and courteous. He came in, assessed the job and got straight to work. The carpet looked fantastic and smelled great. I would recommend him 100% and will ABSOLUTELY use him again. He even cleaned my hand knotted Mashad Persian wool rug and it looks like it did when I first purchased it
It was a terrific experience working with Jim and Randy. They were both attentive to every detail and went the extra mile on everything. They were able to take a 1995 bathroom and bring it entirely up-to-date. I am totally pleased with their work and will definitely use them again.

Both carpet and vinyl flooring were installed professionally with no problems. Scott was on time, gave good advice on flooring to use, good price, good clean-up, Will use him again on any flooring job!

Olivia was fantastic! Communicated well and showed up on time. We reviewed the job and I provided the materials and JR Installations, LLC performed the install. The removed carpeting and hauled it away. They laid the floor - great job. The steps, they matched the flooring and stained the new stair treads. I couldn't be happier and I've been a DIY guy my entire life. The job was simply a stunning transformation from carpeting to hardwood
