Five Star Performance Insulation
I didn't know until last week that homes are now required to have R-38 insulation when they are re-roofed. I had Five Star Performance Insulation install R-30 insulation in my attic in 2001. That was the standard then. The roofers wanted 75 cents a square foot to bring the insulation up to R-38. It would have added about $1K to the job. I was freaking out. I found the invoice from 2001 and called Five Star Performance Insulation, who had done the original job. Luckily, they were still in business. I can see why because of their great service. Rich Arnds, the territory sales manager, drove down from Sacramento and climbed up in the attic. He found fiberglass insulation under the cellulose they had blown in that wasn't taken into account in the R-30 rating. The old R-8 plus the R-30 they added allowed him to certify my house for R-38, up to code. And he did it at no cost to me! The city approved my new roof this morning! I really owe my thanks to Rich Arnds and to Five Star Performance Insulation. This was premium service

After repeatedly calling a well known Lodi heating and AC company to come out and perform work discussed in our initial consultation and receiving NO calls back, I called Bell Brothers. BELL BROS. DEFINITELY LIVES UP TO ALL THAT THEY PROMISE! They showed up on time, always followed up and immediately responded to an extra issue that came up during an inspection. Many companies will give you a 4-6 hour window, so you have to wait around all day and then they don't even make that window. Not Bell Brothers. They reminded me the day before, had a 2 hr. window and also gave me a more accurate ETA as they finished up a job before my appt. In any successful business, communication and professionalism are key, and this company has it dialed in! I only had one other quote to compare Bell Bros. prices to, and they were slightly less, but the Lodi company never called back. I don't mind paying a few extra dollars to get a crew that is reliable and professional. We moved to an older home that is in need of some TLC, and I feel reassured that I have a 'go to' company I know I can rely on for any heating and air problems. :

The first unit was delivered in a timely manner. However, the carrier did not adhere to the shippers warnings about product fragility and the unit was received in a damaged state. The unit was sent back to Classic Copperworks for repair. The repair was treated as a priority by Mr. Threadgill, who had the unit shipped back to me in three weeks. It arrived in good condition that time. Mr Threadgill was very helpful in providing support in order to finish our project. He even had a caulking product sent to us in order to help with flashing the unit. That meant alot. I am not a professional contractor, but was able to install the unit myself with his support. However, my profession does provide me the opportunity to serve the public and as such, I feel that I am more than qualified in commenting on good service. While Classic Copperworks may not be the cheapest provider of goods and services, they stand behind their product and provide great support. It requiress a "leap of faith" to order an expensive unit from an out-of-state provider with no prior mutual history, but I can attest to my complete satisfaction. WR

We first used Pacific Coast Termite two years ago for termite problems. This year was our warranty inspection. They did a thorough inspection and took some minor correction work. We then decided to do the rodent control and re-insulate our attic. This was a four-step process. First they removed all the old insulation. Then the rodent person came and sealed any possible points of entry and set traps. He came back a week later to check traps (empty!!), put new screens on two of the vents for our crawl space and set one more trap in the attic, where the most evidence of rodent droppings was found. On the final day the rodent person returned to remove the traps and make sure all was sealed up nice and tight. That same day the insulation guys came with the truck and proceeded to put in the new insulation. All the personnel were very professional and were great about cleaning up after themselves. They sent a person out to inspect the work after the old insulation was removed and he found a couple other termite spots that he took care of on the spot. Everyone was great about protecting floors and furnishings. We will continue to use their yearly termite warranty

The service went fine. It was just very straight forward. They came out and did an estimate. They gave me two different estimate that I asked for and basically their price was very reasonable. They came back the week later at my convenience and in about two and half hours they put the insulation and the left a ladder, I wanted to go up and see it which they allowed me to do.
