Answered all questions. And wore all essentials; mask, gloves, and kept distance, which is very important to me during this time of Covid.

I was quoted a price for a new water softener, removal of the old softener, and water treatment system over the phone. All these items were $500 less then the last softener I bought from Culligan. Mark arrived early and was very professional. Overall it was an excellent experience.

Delivered Salt for our softener. Easy - guy brought it in - dumped it in the hopper, left extra bag of salt, took away garbage. Easy as that.

I thought I might need a new water softener but they simply took afew minutes to tune up and reset the machine the previous owner had messed up. No sales pitch. Very impressed. Cheap and prompt.

Tri County Water promptly scheduled an appointment for an estimate. The agent arrived early and was swift in reviewing my needs and preparing an estimate. Greg was very friendly and helpful answering all my questions and reviewing the specifications for the installation. They were able to install the system a week later as requested. The installer arrived promptly and got to work. He had to run a water line from the water heater to the treatment system that resulted in a portion of that line being visible. He did an excellent job of ensuring that the holes in the wall and the pipe location were minimal and discreet. He then cleaned up the work area thoroughly and was done in about an hour. Only after I goofed up on the payment did I go to their Prior Lake office to settle up. One of the owners, Renee, was there and handled my payment. She was just as friendly and helpful as Greg. I am thrilled with my water system and the service. I would not hesitate to recommend Tri County Water or to call them myself.

I'm not sure of the exact date. I have Peterson come back every year to deliver salt for the really great softener that they installed. I definitely recommend them.

They were very thorough and clean. The company makes their own water softeners and my husband thinks we were sold more than we were needed, but we are still learning how to operate it. I think they were very responsive and came out quickly. I don't think they tried to over sale and they were priced better than some competitor's.

I liked the product itself, but I would probably go with another company. They just don't have any professional follow-up on how things are going with me, and that is very important to their business.

The service provided was excellent, and the service tech was very professional. I was dismayed, though, when I received the invoice and it was more than was quoted to me over the phone. I paid the entire invoice, but did write the owner of the business a note to tell him about this and my dissatisfaction with the pricing. I never heard back from. |They do great work, but make sure you know how much to expect to pay.

I got a phone call offering me free water quality testing. They said they are doing a survey of the city water in the area for marketing purposes. The salesman said his job was to test the water. I asked if I would get a sales call from his company and he said yes. I ask him how much the equipment would cost and he wouldn't tell me. He said that he needed to do his job and test my water. He was using scare tactics during his entire test to scare me into buying his product. He finally told that the equipment cost $9,550. This included water filter, air filter, and detergents for dishes and laundry. They want me to be a neighborhood representative for their service. He offered to save me money on my purchase. Taking the cost down to $5,730. I told him I could not afford it. They said that they would give me a check for $648.00 to pay for the first six months of payment. He also informed me that I was not to tell their loan company about this agreement. I kept telling him I couldn't afford it. I ended up signed the papers because he was really upsetting me and couldn't think straight. Also because he would not let me think about it. He wanted to have his team come in that night to install the system. I didn't want them to and he started using scare tactics again. After signing the paper work I realized I didn't want the system and I canceled it the next day.

DAKOTA WATER TREATMENT OF MINNESOTA INC

Dakota Water Treatment is a family-owned business. While researching water softeners, I called them, and Paul was very patient with answering many questions and providing a cost estimate over the phone. He demonstrated detailed knowledge about the products he sells and installs, and he was not pushy at all. Previously, we owned a Kinetico softener which had recently broken, and the sales staff from that company were very pushy. We also felt that Dakota Water Treatment's prices were very fair after comparing them with both Culligan and Kinetico. Finally, only Dakota Water Treatment offered a 5 year warranty that included 5 years of labor. The competition only included one year of labor in their warranties. Paul came out and installed both a new water softener and whole house water filter in one afternoon. He is very courteous and professional. I highly recommend Dakota Water Treatment.

Greg was very informative and a pleasure to speak with. He walked me through my options, answered my questions without technical jargon and was not pushy. After I decided on a system, Greg came back to walk me through the paperwork & called to get installation scheduled. Before he left I knew my installation date/time and the name of the installer (Warren). The day of the installation Warren arrived a few minutes early and got right to work. He estimated it would take about an hour. He was friendly and so efficient that the install was completed in roughly 45 minutes. He then took the time to make sure I knew how everything worked, the type of salt to buy in the future & answer my questions. My entire experience with Tri County Water was excellent. Greg & Warren are both extremely knowledgeable and customer focused.

Recent Review: Great. Brian knows what to do. 😊 This is the second time Brian has taken care of a problem for me. Last time it was a very difficult replacing of a gasket on an old toilet that I wanted to keep. (1927 house). This time I probably could have done these repairs but was too busy and I wanted to make sure all was done correctly. Brian Castle is always my first call when I have plumbing needs.

Recent Review: As a first time pool owner I knew nothing about opening a pool, balancing the chemicals or any of the other details. These guys have been great at helping me open my pool, get it cleaned (pool was with a new home and had sat closed for two years), provided advice and helped with chemicals to balance the pool.

Recent Review: The repair went as expected, no problems. They had put the softener in when we built the house 13 years ago, it has been great and very low maintenance. Kim has been a great resource for us, we have never been on a well before and through the years have run across a number of questions that he has been very helpful in answering for us.

Recent Review: They explained everything about how the system worked, its approximate age, etc. They gave me options and pricing on repairing the electric motor unit, replacing the entire mechanical unit, or replacing the whole system and tank. There was not pressure or pushing toward one option. They explained availability of parts for the old system, and the advantages of the metering system in using less salt. They even told me that the existing system was too large for the property if I decided to go with a new system. I decided to install a new system. They were very neat and clean, and disposed of all the old softener, tank, and parts. New system looks great and works beautifully. I have a very happy tenant. I have never used them before, but would call them again should the need arise. I originally got there name from from a friend of mine in the repair business who has known them for years.

Recent Review: I called based on the recommendation from Angie's List. I talked to Larry, he told me what he thought the problem would be based on my description. I scheduled an appointment and he showed up on time and was very professional. He checked everything out. I had too much water in the system (I put too much in the canister after I cleaned it). I bailed the water out, Larry ran a system check and assured me that it would work now. I was happy and will call again. (Especially since he put a sticker for his service on the top of my water softener.)

Recent Review: We are happy with the system so far and with overall sales / installation process done by Surge. However, I ranked the company B rather than A because of the following two reasons: 1. We had an agreement with Surge that at the end of the installation, we are going to have two separate spigots in the kitchen think: one for soft treated water and one for hard water. However, when the plumber showed up for the job and I was walking through the steps to be performed, I learned that they planned on using a cheap plastic pipe for the hard water (a tiny pipe - the one they use in reverse osmosis systems). The pipe would give us an inferior flow and, at best, would serve for 5-10 years before eventually breaking up... It is not supposed be used for hard water. When I asked Surge to have a regular pipe installed, they could not accommodate my request. In the end, we decided not to install the plastic pipe with Surge and will be going with another company to complete the plumbing for hard water. Surge decided not to adjust the price even though less amount of work was performed. 2. Surge performed the installation very quickly but they forgot to bring the cap for our salt tank and could not hall our old water softener away at the day of installation. We had to schedule another appointment 2 weeks later to have the job completed.
