Having had a wood deck for more than 20 years, which was beautiful when it was young, I knew that when I replaced that deck, I would want something that didn't need to be stained or painted each year. After learning about the variety of products, I chose Azek because it is basically plastic, and wouldn't be affected by moisture. I could find just a few companies in the area that worked with Azek: one didn't return my call, one was very expensive, and then there was Outdoor Solutions. Mike came to my house as the salesman, and later, headed up the crew that actually installed the deck. He suggested color combinations, which was good for me because I don't have a good eye for design. The work took a week, including tear down of the old deck and construction of the new deck. The old deck was hauled away, and I liked that there was never a Dumpster on my driveway. Clean-up was pretty good but not perfect: I found several little cellophane wrappers in the lawn, as well as a hammer. I also found several screws in the garden beneath the deck. There was also very little notice between telling me when work would start and when it actually started - like a few hours. These little things, however, would not get in the way of considering Outdoor Solutions for future work. Mike did not respond to either of my texts after the work was done, addressing the hammer I found in the lawn and to find out whether he wanted to pick up the final check from me or mail it to the company.

We were thoroughly impressed with Randy's approach to providing us with a bid. He arrived with a complete package/brochure which included a letter of introduction and an unsolicited list of references of work completed within our local area. Randy was very patient with us in trying to decide whether to use cedar or pressurized wood to support the deck as well as our seasonal porch. On the first day of work, a three man crew arrived with Brandon as the lead team member. The crew was very professional, knowledgeable, and quiet as they worked for the next five days. They were extremely tidy in cleaning up during and after the work product was installed. We would definitely use their services again and recommend them to others. A job very WELL DONE!

Great job! The repairs were very well done. My deck looked brand new after the power wash and the stain. They seem to extremely busy and we had some trouble at first nailing down a time for the work. But it was well worth the wait. The cost was very reasonable and the work exceptional. I would definitely recommend and use them again in the future.

We started with the options. The sale manager, Douglass, explained to us a few options, wood, composite, or wood and composite combination. He did not push rather patiently answered our questions. He let us take time to finalize the order. The actual building process went very smoothly. The crew came, took down the old deck and hauled away the old materials. They followed the city permit instruction to build the deck. I was very surprised to see that the permit application itself has a lot details, even with diagrams. The finished deck looks beautiful, and fits the house very well. It gave me another surprise. The deck even has an extra small handrail on the stairs. That's very handy. I asked Douglas a few more questions when the project is completed. Again he took time to listen and explains patiently. I am satisfied.

We sourced five bids for our deck project. We opted to use Rosebud as we found Joe to be by far the most responsive contractor of the people who stopped out. He visited promptly and provided a bid to us quickly. In addition, all subsequent communication with him came in an honest and upfront manner. He also quickly responded to our request for references of other folks he’d built decks for. Joe was also was the only contractor that gave us a firm, unwavering bid. The other contractors we talked to were generally unable to definitively confirm how much our job would cost, pending uncertainly regarding what sort of substructure would be revealed and required when our old deck was demolished. Joe basically told us what we had and what was needed. He’s a no-nonsense, straight shooter. This was reassuring as other contractors kept telling us, “Best case scenario, it will be Price Plan A, worst case scenario, Price Plan B.” Lastly, Joe’s overall price quote for our deck project was very competitive. The demolition and construction process took about a week. Nate was the lead carpenter. We found Nate agreeable, pleasant and efficient. Our deck was constructed with Trex’s Transcend product line using the Havana Gold color and Spiced Rum color accents. We used the Westbury Riviera III aluminum railing. The bottom line: Rosebud’s final results exceeded our expectations. My thanks to Joe and his crew for a job well done. I highly recommend the company to anyone interested in a new deck.

He spent a bunch of time up-front at my home to understand what I wanted (and I wasn't sure at the beginning--choices, choices, choices). Called Kraig one morning and left a message on his cell phone. Withing 1 hour he returned my call and made arrangements to look at the deck that afternoon. H e arrived right on time and provided us with an estimated cost which I accepted and arranged a date to have the work done. On the appointed date (there was no particular time involved) Kraig appeared ready to work. He completed the job in good time and his final cost was less than expected I think that is rare. The only evidence of him being here is the appearance of the new boards. Completely cleaned up the work site. Very good job.

Super Service Award Recent Review: DAN BYDLON AND STAFF WERE ESPECIALLY PLEASING TO WORK WITH. IN NOVEMBER WE INSTALLED NEW CARPETING ON OUR 4 SEASON PORCH. IN ORDER TO INSTALL THE CARPET WE HAD TO MOVE THE HOT TUB AND STAND IT UPRIGHT IN THE KITCHEN AREA. OUR PLANS WERE TO BUILD A DECK AND MOVE THE HOT TUB OUTDOORS. THE PROBLEM WE ENCOUNTERED WAS THAT WE COULD NOT FIND A BUILDER WILLING TO BUILD AN OUTDOOR DECK IN MID-NOVEMBER. MEANWHILE THE HOT TUB WAS STILL PARKED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE KITCHEN AREA. FINALLY I PLACED A CALL TO CRAFTSMEN, TOLD THEM MY PREDICAMENT, ASKED IF WAS TO LATE BUILD AN OUTDOOR DECK (IT WAS NOW EARLY DECEMBER). WITHOUT HESITATION THEY SAID YES. THE BUILDERS STARTED WORK WITHIN TWO WEEKS. BY CHRISTMAS, WE HAD A BRAND NEW 16X15 CEDAR DECK WITH A JACUZZI ON TOP OF IT. THANK YOU DAN BYDLON AND ALL YOUR STAFF AT CRAFTSMEN HOME IMPROVEMENT. THAT WAS A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS PRESENT.

Recent Review: Process was slow do to some installation issues (3 months for completion ). The people subcontracted to complete the work were not familiar with the product. Some rework needed to be completed due to this issue. Final project costs came in higher than quoted. Dean Marquette made sure issues were resolved to satisfaction and would contact them for future projects.

Recent Review: We are very happy with the work we had completed by Twin Cities Siding. We used almost every service they offer and are very satisfied with all of the work completed. We originally asked them to bid on siding and roof replacement. We also asked for a bid on adding a screen or multi-season porch and deck. They really listened to what we wanted and came back with a bid that made our dream of adding a family room feasible. Once we agreed to work with them on the siding and roofing we also asked for bids on insulation and window replacement. Every bid was competitive and fair. This was a long project and we worked with many folks from the company. Every employee was extremely professional and made it easy to welcome them into our home for many weeks. We had very regular updates from and communication with our project manager throughout the project. Given the scope of the work and the number of players involved, there were some bumps along the way (like the window company sending all of the windows backwards), but every challenge was met head on and handled quickly, which rates very high with us. Overall, we got everything we dreamed of for our home within our budget. We would definitely recommend Twin Cities Siding to family and friends.

Super Service Award Recent Review: What Andrew's crew was able to do with our cedar deck was nothing short of a miracle! We have a two year old deck that was destroyed by a cheap deck staining company we took a flyer on when we first had the deck built. All the wood was chewed up from overly aggressive pressure washing and there were drip marks everywhere. And a lot of the stain was peeling and flaking. Our deck literally looked like a 20-year old deck when it was only two years old! I contacted two companies to get bids. The first company recommended stripping, sanding, and staining the deck. The second company was Andrew's company, Durapro Painting. When Andrew came out he recommended we only sand and stain. He was confident his crew could make the deck look new again without going through the hassle (and additional expense) of stripping it down with chemicals. The deck looked so bad that I was leery they could make it look new with just sanding and staining. Plus, Andrew's bid was $500 more than the guy who was going to do al l three ? strip, sand, and stain. Andrew was easy to talk to, very professional, and really seemed to know his stuff. But what really stood out was when he told me his crew would work on this deck as if it was his own. In other words, they would strive for perfection on this deck. I rolled the dice and went with him even though he was a little more expensive. I'm glad I did! Andrew's crew was amazing. They were very nice, very professional, and unbelievably thorough. They literally dismantled all the railings on my deck so they could hand sand every square inch. They spent almost an entire week (up to 8 hours a day sometimes) just sanding the entire deck. They sanded my deck like it was a fine piece of furniture. It was pretty amazing to watch. They were just as careful and thorough when they applied the stain. They ended up putting on two coats to make sure the color was perfectly even everywhere and to really make the deck pop. The amazing thing was I couldn't find a single drip mark anywhere and this is a pretty large deck. To be able to apply two coats of stain on a large deck without any drip marks is pretty remarkable. Our deck looks brand new! We're thrilled because until we talked to Andrew we were contemplating replacing the deck with maintenance-free decking which would have cost thousands of dollars. Andrew saved us a ton of money and now we have an awesome looking deck. If the deck looks this good a year from now, I'll definitely be hiring Andrew again to restain it when it needs it.
