Recent Review: Chronic leaking into the one car garage from a second floor deck was excuse to remodel the garage. They repaired the deck, fixed the garage ceiling, repoured the base concrete and rehung the garage door. Also upgraded/reworked the electrical and fixed some exterior plumbing. They worked with WildFire lifts to place a car lift so we can now have two cares in the garage. Excellent coordinated work,. Professional and friendly team. Excellent price considering we added on some unexpected work.

Recent Review: Summary: Home Transformations saved me several thousand dollars I had planned to invest into re-siding my garage. Instead, they showed me it was still in good health, but did need several rows of planks and some trim replaced, and that the bad looking paint job I always hated, was actually the previous owner's attempt to use a light colored stain (not truly a paint job, at all, so it left exposed grain, and my visitors and I all thought it was just an unprimed paint job). Results: beautiful. Details look fresh. We had a great time getting to know this team. They're friendly, easy communicationm, and Kurt Meyer, the owner, guided me pretty painlessly through what (for me) are always some tough decisions with color choices. He has a remarkable eye. Owner and crew spent a week on carpentry, then a week on painting. We did a couple walk throughs to scope project detail, and we selected a terrific set of colors. They brought ideas I had not considered, which we used. My 35-year-old garage was so deteriorated, I was convinced it would need all new siding to look acceptable. Kurt viewed it with me and showed it had a solid structure and that by replacing deteriorated rows of wood siding, large and small trim, soffit/fascia - then prime and repaint - it would work. Now it looks like a brand new garage! Visitors say the same. House: 90-year old stucco. I'd done research already, as I know contractors and owners have all possible opinions on whether to paint stucco - from "never," to "you must". As mine was painted by a previous owner 15 years ago, and that paint job held up beautifully, it was strong evidence in favor of repainting it now. I learned that paint chosen specifically for stucco can be protective without trapping moisture. Goal: change the base color, match original stucco to new unpainted addition's new stucco, and change the trim color as well. Kurt's info filled in my knowledge gaps. His firm paints a lot of vintage stucco homes, so that was the expertise I wanted. Result: I'm still excited about how much I admire the look. The color palette Kurt suggested is a handsome finish for this home and works as a historical choice for its style. The new trim details enhances the architecture much better than before. Quality of application and choice of sheen quality, works beautifully, too. Kind of reminds me of a sepia toned photograph from the era - which just confirms how appropriate the choices and application were, to produce such a fine effect.

Recent Review: The best overall experience I encountered by any type of contractor. I called several Painting Contractors on Monday Nov. 16th at approximately 10:00A.M., was told by all of them that they would come out to give me an estimate later in the week. I called and spoke to Todd Shelton, he came out to meet with me at 1:00P.M. the same day. He came out and walked me though the entire process, very professional. I requested to have my garage doors painted as well as all the trim, including windows. I also requested to have my Deck cleaned and stained. Tuesday the day after we spoke, Dan Todd's Partner, was out to pressure wash my deck, wednesday Todd and Dan had a crew of 6 people out to my property to Prep and Paint. The crew worked throughout the day non-stop, I stopped by the property on several occasions and no one was standing around. The attention to detail by the crew was impeccable. They final outcome of the project was worth every penny spent. They restored my deck to a new appearance, they did an excellent job, making sure every square inch was cleaned, prepped and stained. Both Todd and Dan were out several times during the entire process to make sure everything was going according to plan. The crew was polite and very mindful of their surroundings making sure everything was clean throughout the process. The incredible thing throughout the whole process, was that I called Todd Shelton on Monday for a quote and by the end of the week everything was completed. I would feel proud to recommend Shelton Painting to anyone in that not only are you hiring a talented Crew but you also are hiring a company that will treat and care for your home as if they were working on their home.

Recent Review: They did an excellent job. John is very thorough and a perfectionist, which we were very pleased about. The carpenter, Evan, is a miracle worker. He replaced some rotten wood around our garage door, chipping out cement, exactly fitting in new pieces of wood and repairing the cement. It looks a million times better than it once did. Their crews worked hard and were careful to not be invasive to the family. They were extremely considerate. The work is first rate. They worked well with a crew from another company we had replacing windows at the same time. John went above and beyond to match the color of the exterior paint with the existing color and worked with the window guys to match the trim to the paint. My one "complaint" is that the cost of the project ballooned as they scraped and found wood rot on the siding. We were aware that the cost was going up, but we had a little sticker shock when we saw the final bill. However, I would recommend John and Magic Painting to anyone. They are wonderful craftsman and very nice to work with.

Recent Review: I contacted Apple Valley Garage Door company at 12:08 pm on August 18, 2021. I was updated by "Matt" regarding the timelines that he could be by to fix the door that literally came off the track. My garage door was repaired by 3:55 pm. He and his partner were very courteous, professional, and down right nice despite the heat and humidity. I'm having them come back next week to replace the retaining bar/weather seal on the bottom of the door.
