An individual came out the next day and performed the requested service. All debris was removed as well. I discovered why the previous owners had shutters installed beside the front door though - damaged brick. I wonder if Above and Beyond performs brick repair...? I have other minor home projects that I plan to schedule through Above and Beyond

The railings were a little more complex than we thought, but John was able to make some adjustments and get the job done. We had to delay the project because a few extra parts had to be ordered. I WAS HAVING THE EXTERIOR OF MY HOUSE REPAINTED AND I HAD WINDOW SHUTTERS ON MY HOUSE THAT, WHILE NOT ORIGINAL, WERE PROBABLY 20+ YEARS OLD. OVER THE YEARS THEY HAD WEATHERED AND WARPED TO THE POINT THAT THEY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I HAD FIRST TRIED TO WORK WITH ANOTHER COMPANY, BUT THEY WERE NOT FRIENDLY, NOT RESPONSIVE, NOT PROFESSIONAL, AND SO ULTIMATELY DIDN'T GET THE WORK. CEDARBURG LUMBER CO. I had to been think of this for awhile and then I narrowed it down to a place that makes shutters. Then I ran into a problem because they wanted to put supports in the middle. Now with Budget blinds they made sure I got what I wanted. They even made sure things were done my way. Bob was the man I was dealing with and we ran into a little problem and he let me know that we would take care of it when we got to it and he did. They did quality work and very good work. He gave me a lifetime guarantee which kinda siled the deal of me. They are high but I felt it was worth it. There was a blemish or ding on one of the shutters and he told me about it right away, in fact he is coming back to replace the ding that he found. and he apologized several time for it. He did not have to point it out to me, I asked him when he got everything up and he told me about the ding and now it is being replace. It is not stiff or anything not too friendly just right when it comes to professionalism. You feel like you know him awhile very nice person

Above & Beyond General Contracting LLC
Came and provided an estimate for the work in early April. He called a few weeks later to schedule the work but had to postpone due to rain. He called back a couple weeks later when weather cleared. He and another worker arrived promptly just before 8:00 the first day and we went over the items to be done in addition to a couple of additional tasks I requested that weren't in the original estimate. He gave me a fair cost estimate for the additional items and went right to work. When I asked how he could wash the 2nd floor windows which had storms and screens that prevented access to the window panes, he informed me that the windows could be removed from inside. When I arrived home from work around 4:30, they were gone for the day and I found the site cleaned up well with the exception of some minor chips of paint. The second morning they arrived just after 8:00. I was home all day and was able to observe them using drop clothes to catch paint chips and drips as they worked. I also noticed that they had removed one set of shutters so the outside edge of the window frame could be painted. They seemed very thorough. As we removed each set of 2nd floor windows, I noticed that some of the glazing was brittle or missing and asked Matt for a quote to recaulk each window as needed. Again, the charge seemed fair so I had him perform that task. I also noticed some over paint on a couple windows and Matt assured me that would be cleaned up. I was really impressed by how they worked diligently with little idle time and just a half hour for lunch. Once everything was done and they were packing up, I did a final walk around the house to inspect the work. I found a couple of spots that needed caulking (which Matt promptly did) but it appeared that everything else was completed and nicely cleaned up. They completed everything in 2 days and I was very pleased. My house hasn't looked so nice in a looooooong time. :-) I would definitely hire them again

Bruce Wild Painting
Bruce washed the house on Friday, June 21, 2013, and then anticipated doing the painting on the following Monday and Tuesday. However, Wisconsin was plagued by strong scattered thundershowers from Monday June 24 through Thursday June 27. Bruce and his two assistants carefully watched the weather and made visits of partial days to work around heavy rain forecast to move in within a few hours also taking advantage where possible of the ability to paint some areas with some shelter from rain. With Bruce's diligence and professional care the painting was accomplished between heavy showers so that paint was never applied to wet siding and freshly painted areas always had at least five hours to dry before the next rain arrived. Bruce and his crew were always pleasant and courteous, and we and our neighbors feel they did an absolutely outstanding job. They carefully cleaned up and even left us partial gallons of black and white paint if touch up is needed in a few years to the shutters and siding/trim
