We live in a mobile home, there was only a small piece of siding that got affected, they were more interested in the fence that was across the way that is owned by the owner of the mobile court. They were more interested in fixing the fence which is owned by the mobile court owner. It was probably a $250 job probably to fix it which we still don't have fixed. He didn't even write up an estimate or anything. We asked multiple people to please write up an estimate and nobody was willing to do it. My sister in the last year to do a job and she was more than happy with him but to do this little, tiny job, they were not willing to do. If you have this huge job that's worth thousands of dollars, yes, the kind that you probably have to take a bank loan out, yes. But if you have this menial task that's probably beneath them, no. They didn't even gave us an estimate, they didn't want to do it

I requested an appointment online (thought Angie's List). They called me back the next day to make the appointment for following day. The electrician (Adam) was on time and very professional. He did his best to give an accurate estimate and stuck to it. He had to troubleshoot the faulty circuits, rewiring a short section, so that all our switches worked correctly. We were able to pay at the time of service through his mobile device. Great job. Would definitely recommend and use again

Most mobility dealers sell a particular lift that costs around $5,000.00 dollars and Rasse Lifts was able to sell me a used lift at a fraction of the cost. The lift broke a couple times but they took care of fixing it. I have been happy with their service and I will continue to use Rasse Lifts.

I scheduled an appointment with this provider on a Thursday at 9:00. At 9:20 they hadn't showed up yet, so I tried to contact them to find out where they were. No one answered the phone. At 10:00 they still hadn't shown up, so I contacted them again and informed them at that point to not worry about coming out, that I needed to get to work. They were a no call no show and I haven't heard anything from them since

It was a pretty big project, lots of moving people and parts. Jim from Elite did a great job visualizing with us what we wanted and was very knowledgeable about options. Elite uses an online program (also has a mobile app) to layout the plan and track progress as well as handle communication. I found this was extremely helpful for my wife and I to use as we could check on things and add our own pictures and questions. My wife and I now have a fantastic completely remodeled master bathroom and we couldn't be happier

If you want someone you can trust, call Hardy Improvements LLC. They are really fast, really responsible and very talented when it comes to carpentry. They are extremely neat when it comes to how they leave your house and very talented in the expert work they do at a very, very fair price. The owner has a degree from MATC in construction and it shows in their professionalism. When they come to your house all their tools are in a mobile work shop they bring with them. Did I mention their work is perfect? It is because they are really good at what they do. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs a reliable service to help with home projects. Based on the work they did at my house I am confident their basement remodeling is perfect

I had a hole in the ceiling of our basement where there used to be an elevator. The floor over the area was sagging badly and needed replacing, but with a closet sitting on top of it in the room above, this was nothing I could tackle on my own. I called Hank and he came out the next day to take a look. He made suggestions on how we should approach it and scheduled a day the following week to begin. I purchased the materials ahead of time, and Hank called to let me know what time he could be out. While I helped out, Hank did most of the work and was very efficient. We were able to get the biggest part of the problem solved the first evening and finished up the following afternoon. He made suggestions but always asked my opinion. He also was a good listener and was willing to do things in a manner that I was comfortable. All in all, working with Hank was a great experience and I will definitely hire him again

My solar system (photovoltaic panels or "PV" system as I guess the pros call it) from Arch Electric has been up and running for five months now. I could not recommend Arch Electric more highly. First of all, they are local and have been in Wisconsin a long time. They are a family business. That means something to me. I researched it a bit before I made the first phone call. From what I could ascertain, Arch installs only the best PV panels available. I know there are cheaper solar panels out there but they aren't rated that highly. This was a big expense upfront and a long-time commitment for me. I wanted high-quality solar panels that I wouldn't have to worry about five or ten years from now. That is what Arch Electric sells and installs. The entire process was excellent. The estimator came out and spent time with me. I wasn't sure at that point that I was going to go ahead with it. She talked with me about how the system works, the installation process, the tax credits (important to me!), financing and the estimated time it would take for the system to pay for itself (not as long as you'd think). She sent a quote promptly after I gave her my electric bills so she could estimate the best system for me and my family. We continued to discuss my goals, costs, concerns and so forth. We emailed back and forth when I had questions. She was very, very responsive. I will tell you that my system is thought to pay itself off in 9-to-11 years and after that it's wholly free energy. That is darned attractive. The other BIG selling point to me was that if something goes wrong, Arch Electric's 25-year warranty is for parts AND labor. Twenty-five years!! Obviously, Arch stands behind what they sell. It's impressive and won me over. I want a system that is worry-free. After the contract was signed, they sent an engineer to figure out if my roof would support the weight and other engineering measurements to ensure a good plan. (My roof was fine.) The engineer was pleasant and efficient. And clean. On the day of installation, they sent three installers. Those guys were great!! They were on-time (a little early, actually), respectful, efficient, CLEAN and when there were decisions to be made I was consulted. Such a good process! I can't believe that installation went so quickly. It took only two days. In fact, one of the installers had to wait until 8PM on the last day for a WeEnergies inspector to give his blessing on the system before the switchover. This installer was so good about waiting. He had nothing to do for hours other than wait. I felt terrible for him and his family. He never complained. Such a nice guy! During the installation, Arch sent a supervisor to make sure I was happy. He also brought me very generous jug of the homemade maple syrup that the Arch Electric family makes every spring. It is a lovely gift that they don't "have" to give. I really appreciate the family thoughtfulness and generosity. (Do you have any idea how much effort it takes to make "real" maple syrup and not that garbage they sell at the supermarket? OMG!) Anyway, five months later, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my solar system. I have an app on my mobile phone where I can see the status of each panel (like I know what any of those data mean - LOL!), review my system's output and see my savings up to the minute -- money that I am not paying to WeEnergies anymore. It's heaven. If you are thinking about getting a solar system, I think you should start a conversation with Arch Electric. It's an upstanding, quality company. It is not possible to recommend anyone higher. Good luck and go solar!

AB & K Affordable Bath & Kitchen
2.0
From start to finish it just seemed to be one problem after another. On the initial day of demo work on our full bath we came home and were informed that the designer didn't realize our ceiling was elevated and that her initial tile projection was off so we would need to sign a change order and pay for additional tile to cover the higher ceiling. The installer said based on our house and the fact that you could see the dormers and slanted roof from the outside the designer should have known. We also were informed that we would need to pay for new molding/woodwork around the windows and doors because the existing woodwork was all destroyed as part of the demo and could not be saved. As part of the reno we were moving the toilet from one wall to another. The new location of the toilet was to be located under an existing built in area carved into the wall. The designer again didn't take the cabinet into consideration when she designed her plan and when the toilet was installed we arrived home to see that it sat about 5 inches above the bottom of the cabinet. The installers didn't notice so when I pointed out that once they installed the custom cabinet that was part of the initial plan we would not be able to open the door it would hit the toilet. We were then told that the installer would have to design a new type of cabinet. Basically we lost space and the inteior of the cabinet was reduced to allow for the toilet. We still can not open the cabinet unless the toilet seat is down. On the outside they placed wood trim around the cabinet and it looks cheap and not custom at all. The vanity, sink and faucet went in and then the medicine cabinet which is above the sink. The day that was installed I came home to find that the cabinet hit the faucet when you opened the door. Again no one apparently tried to open it or check it. When I opened it into the faucet it scratched the new faucet. The cabitnet was ultimately raised and the faucet piece that was scratched was replaced. The other major issue with both bathrooms was that the drywall was done very poorly and when we painted we experienced a number of problems. I was told that the drywall was fine and basically they blamed our painting for the issues. We then requested a second look so they sent their professional painter out to view the bathrooms. He said the upstairs bathroom needed to be patched and redone in a number of areas and the powder room needed to be completely redone. The individual said it was an extremely poorly done job. There were areas where the screws were visible, areas where the walls and ceilings didn't meet correctly, you could see the dry wall tape in areas. Numerous issues. This then led to almost a month of back and forth with AB & K. They sent out a person named Ron who I believe was an Operations Manager. I checked the website to get his title but interestly he is no longer listed as part of the team. He came out on a Friday looked everything over, agreed that the walls looked bad and told me he would follow up with me the following Monday. A week went by and I never heard back. I called our designer and complained so she then came out with another person. They both agreed as well that the walls looked very bad. At that point we were led to believe that Caravella the group who sent the professional out to look at the walls would be the group to redo the drywall and paint. We were later informed that the AB&K original installer who had done the work would be returning to redo the walls. This was very disheartening since we had had issues with his work product throughout the project. He did eventually return but it was almost a month after our intial complaint. We then paid to have the bathroom professionally painted through AB&K which was basically a rip off since we had already spent our money priming and painting them the first time only to find out that the drywall was not properly done. In addition to the above issues we also had problems with the tile being chipped or damaged and had to request certain tiles be replaced. We are still waiting for them to replace a light/vent unit in the powder room. I had to complain about this fixture on three different occasions before they finally took it out of the ceiling and then acknowledged that it was deffective or not installed properly. It was missing the interior damper so it was letting the heat out and the cold external air in. I think its interesting that Molly Madsen writes all these apologies on Angie's List when I've had issue after issue on this project for over SIX MONTHS now and I've never had any feedback from her. Her husband did sent a short e-mail regarding the latest vent issue but no apologies for his employees and subcontractors poor work. I found this entire experience to be very stressful and found AB & K with the exception of the designer to be only interested in positive feedback. I completed a very indepth survey that the installer dropped off and put very specific comments but truthfully I have little to no faith they it was even read

We met Advantage Remodel at the MBA home improvement show 3 weeks ago because we saw a design we liked on Houzz. Met with the owner's (Andy Schafer) brother at the show to discuss what we liked about one of his designs and how it might fit our kitchen remodel. Filled out all contact information for us that evening. A day later we receive an invite for a meet and greet with Andy Schafer to pick a meeting time and day for him to come to our house for an initial review of our project. We picked the time and we arranged our work schedules to meet with him during the week. He wrote back a few days later saying he couldn't make this time and asked for a reschedule to the 3rd of February which was OK. Three weeks pass and at 6AM this morning he emails us this: From: Andy @ Advantage Remodel [mailto:andy@advantage-remodel.com] Sent: Friday, February 03, 2017 6:07 AM To: Keith , Sherry Subject: Our appt this morning Good morning Keith and Sherry, I realized that I failed to have a detailed conversation with you regarding the investment range for your project and to confirm that you have thoroughly gone through the copy of our design agreement that I sent a while back. As much as I appreciate the opportunity tom meet with you this morning, it is our company policy that we will not get together with a potential new client prior to having/knowing both pieces of that information. The design agreement is quite detailed and lengthy but does give you a great idea as to how detailed our team is. Here is a copy of that agreement for your convenience Design Build Retainer Agreement 3.0.pdf Any questions, please let me know. All the best, Andy Andy Schafer - NARI Certified Partner / Advantage Remodel office - 262.735.7572 mobile - 262.349.2158 andy@advantage-remodel.com “Our clients mean the world to us” See what they are saying Connect with us and view our work [*** Link removed ***] As you can see from his writing, he now at the last minute is wondering if this is worth his time. It is like he googled our house and said, I have better things to do and do you folks know it will cost $60,000 minimum for what I work on before he even stepped into the house? I am fully aware of what the ballpark will be for what we want done with our kitchen, but what Andy failed to tell us over the past three weeks is that he wants to be HIRED on the spot with at 8% design fee on the "high side" of my cost range. That is completely acceptable business practice to charge that, BUT this is not a way I would hire someone to do my job because of the wide arrange of options that we could go with- I need a few independent looks at the project. He wanted $6-$8k today to come visit with us but again failed to tell us this until 3 hours before our appointment for which my wife took the day off of work to meet with Mr. Schaefer. Again had we known this up front, we wouldn't have considered Advantage Remodel to do our project. After I questioned him on his fee and way of doing business as I was caught off guard and upset that my wife took the day off of work for nothing here is what he thought could work for us to meet with him: From: Andy @ Advantage Remodel [mailto:andy@advantage-remodel.com] Sent: Friday, February 03, 2017 7:26 AM To: Keith Cc: Sherry Subject: RE: Our appt this morning We do not offer any design or estimating work without charging fee for it. Today is about getting to know you guys and also discussing the project / investment range amount. Based on our conversation this morning I do not feel comfortable getting together at your home today. If you wish, please reach out to me to schedule a time to visit our showroom and bring along pics and approx dimensions of your space, and we can proceed from there. I hope you find this acceptable and look forward to hearing from you. Andy Schafer Advantage Remodel So as you can see from his all of his replies that he had other things to do and had no interest in working on a $60,000 remodel project unless he is going to be paid upfront and now I have to come to him with our dimensions and pictures to his place which obviously isn't going to happen. Two other companies have already come through and did walkthroughs of our house, took measurements, and listened to what we want, but Mr. Schafer basically felt us a worthless project for some reason out of the blue this morning (perhaps he did that google our house) and judged us not worthy of his time. His choice, but when you mess with people's schedules it is just not professional and worthy of my business or that of others. I am sure he does competent work, but I never got the chance to find out. If you are in our shoes with a major remodel to be done where design options can vary and you want a few looks at it, don't involve Advantage Remodel. They only want to be hired before they move on your project
They gave me an appointment the afternoon of the day I called. The technician, who was extremely polite and knowledgable, checked the unit thoroughly, made appropriate adjustments and fixed the problem. He also fixed a long-standing issue with the battery charging system. My prior service company technician told me that it was not fixable and was due to the age of the unit. Apparently my former service technician was incorrect. I am totally pleased with the service provided by Access
The next day I pulled into Alarm-tronics with the alarm going off. The lady working behind the desk was very helpful. I was quite upset at the whole situation. She was able to go out to my car and get the alarm to stop. She told me to come back in a couple hours and looks like they had to install a whole new system comparable to the one I had which would be a few hundred dollars or more, as I recall. When I went back an hour or so later, to my pleasant surprise, the owner's wife's car had the exact same system on her car that I had, and they were planning on selling the car so he sold me her remote for $50.00, which he said is what he paid for it. I believe it was an extra remote. I was very happy that he had saved me lots of money and had it working with the system I had on my car and did not have to spend a lot of money.
Contacted Boom Did It about one month prior to Christmas requesting product that they would recommend. Due to the manufacturer not having the unit available for Boom Did It to purchase directly, Boomer allowed me to purchase it.He then did the install and warranted the product just as if he purchased the unit himself. Boomer and his lead technician then came to my house on New Years day to do the install
Rob has been fantastic to work with. He is very responsive to any requests/questions and very professional. His prices were very competitive and fair (lower than many quotes we got) and his work has been high quality. I have done a lot of large remodeling projects and some decks so I understand the code requirements and for these types of projects and Rob has built it to the code and better in several areas. The deck is approx 450 sq ft and made out of Azek decking and Westbury aluminum railing. We are very pleased with the results so far and will hire him again to do future work we do not want to tackle ourselves
Great! very happy with the results particularly since the house is more than 100 years old with nothing straight and level. Also had time to solve a problem with bathroom fan.
