Reviews for Countertop Repair in Milwaukee
Our experience with Bedrock was wonderful, until we noticed damage to our installed countertop. This in itself would not have been a problem had the employee pointed it out, and fixed immediately (it was in a location where the employee could not have missed seeing it upon installation). After calling and asking for a repair, communication was horrible, and everyone we spoke to was rude. We did finally get the damage repaired almost 3 weeks after install, and the repair is acceptable. We will not be using Bedrock again

I had a couple of seam breaks from the weight settlement one in the first year that they promptly came back and fixed at no charge (he had to wedge the counter from underneath and relieve the stress points and re-epoxy), the other was a break in the seam of the long island that we had to have done last year. He spent a good hour and a half fixing the seam and had only a minimum charge to repair it (well under $100.00). They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your counters

We had Bedrock quote our kitchen, but regretfully did not go with them because the intial estimate was notably higher than the others. I say initial because at the end of the day, we ended up paying about the same amount. We had the granite done by someone else and are currently working towards a second attempt to get some issues fixed. I am writing this review because I contacted bedrock to get on estimate on repair work for the granite should I need to have someone else come in and finish the work. After looking at the photos, Mark personally called me and explained what can and can't be done, how these things happen, and educated me quite a bit on the processes that installers can use to fix the issues we have. He provided some very sound advise to use when I go back to the company that did the installation, indicating the best solution is to re-fabricate one of the pieces and explaining the process that should be used to prevent any new damage. This was all free of charge and without obligation

There were a few installation problems, but were fixed to my satisfaction. The showroom is really nice and the sales people were very helpful.

Callen Construction Inc
It was fantastic. Excellent workmanship, everything was done on time. If there was a problem it got fixed. The carpenters and contractors were professional and polite. They cleaned up everything and Callen even had Merry Maids come in for 2 hours cleaning for free:)

The job went very well. We were very happy with the end result. They installed corian counter tops that included the sink. they will get the job done right. They did a minor repair to reinforce a bracket.

BJK SERVICES, LLC
He made two trips; one to assess our needs, and the second trip to conduct the repairs. He cleaned the countertop and applied an epoxy finish. A stranger could never tell where there was a fairly large crack and gap. He also gave us great tips on how to keep our granite looking sharp.

BRICKSET TILE & REMODELING LLC
Everything was installed properly and neatly cleaned up. Manny is very friendly, polite, and easy to work with.

I think that their product was good. The salesmen come right to your door and show you samples, I like that. The install was good, they made a few mistakes but immediately came back and fixed them. Do not remember job cost.

2nd Life Home Remodeling
Great communication. Tim let's you know what is happening every step of the way. We had our kitchen remodeled to our specifications. Tim met all of our requests. Pre-remodel: Getting a quote was easy. Just call and set up an appointment time for Tim to come out and determine your needs. In a few days a quote is emailed to you. We made some changes and quickly received an updated quote. Once quote was descriptive to our needs we got on their schedule for the remodel. They were able to start work much sooner than most companies. During remodel: Tim and his staff arrived daily on time and during the times they pre-indicated. Communication was great as to what they would be doing daily and quickly fixed any hurdles that came along. (Our house was built in 1922, so hurdles were expected) They also cleaned up daily before leaving for the day, leaving our house much more livable. Post-remodel: They have a one year warranty on their work. We had a very small issue arise a few months later with our flooring. They came out right away to assess the issue. We scheduled a repair time that worked for us and they came out and fixed it, no issues. I would highly recommend Tim to anyone needing remodeling. We will for sure be using them again for our next project

Wisconsin Granite Design LLC
On 5/13/09 (approximately) my wife and I visited Wisconsin Granite Depot. We showed representatives a sketch of the granite vanity top we wanted. We were given an estimated cost and shown their selection of available granite. My wife selected the stone she wanted used. On 5/15/09 we returned to confirm our choice of granite piece and placed our order. A down payment of $427.26 was paid by check. We were told someone from Wisconsin Granite Depot would be at our home at 4 pm on 5/19/09 to measure for the vanity top. We were very pleased at how quickly they were going to do the work. No one from Wisconsin Granite Depot came to our home by 4:30 pm on 5/19/09. At 4:30 or 5 pm I called the office and was told someone would come right away. About 5:30 an employee did come and measured for the vanity top. On 5/28/09 or 5/29/09 we received a phone call from Wisconsin Granite Depot saying that we needed to come to their facility to make a final selection of the piece of granite to be used for the vanity top. When we arrived we were shown two small pieces. My wife didn?t like either piece. She went to the large piece she had originally selected and said she wanted the vanity cut from that piece. The Depot representative agreed and we signed a form regarding the material selected. On 6/1/09 the vanity top was installed by two employees. The balance due was paid by check. After the installers left we noticed a hole in the surface of the vanity top approximately 1/4 to 3/8 inches in diameter near the sink opening. There was also a larger area along the edge of the sink opening which was of a soft material. A piece fell out of it when I ran my finger nail along it. I called Wisconsin Granite Depot to request that someone come to repair the two defects in the vanity top. An employee was to come on 6/3/09 to do the repairs, but no one came. On 6/4/09 two employees arrived 12:30, without an appointment or prior notice, to make repairs. At the time we were just leaving for an appointment and we told them they couldn?t do the repairs then. The employees said they would return when they were in the neighborhood again. On 6/8/09 I called Wisconsin Granite Depot to set up an appointment for repairs. The person who answered the phone said ?when?? I said ?How about this afternoon?? Person said fine ? between 3 and 4. But no one came and no one called us. On 6/9/09 I again called to schedule an appointment for repairs. The person who answered the phone, not the one I spoke with the previous day, said someone would come on Thursday, 6/11/09. On 6/11/09 a repair person did come. He scrapped out the soft area on the counter top and filled in both holes. He did a good repair job ? as good as could be done under the circumstances

John and his team did great work at a great price. All of the workmen were very friendly and courteous. They were very efficient in scheduling each step of the process to be ready when the one before was finished. The new kitchen looks beautiful and we are enjoying improved functionality as well. John and his team were very responsive and willing to fix any problems quickly

THE KITCHEN CENTER
We worked with Rob Craig and designer on several iterations of design layouts. Finalized plan in March, 2008. Work began in April, 2008. Tear out work was well coordinated - we appreciated that it went according to schedule and work area kept clean throughout. Installation also went according to schedule. The cabinetry, Fieldstone Elite, exceeds our quality expectation. Finish carpentry was superb

His work was outstanding. To be honest, the countertop looks better than it did when it was installed. The gentleman was here so long making sure to do such a wonderful job, my husband paid him more than he asked for. My husband does not normally do that, so it's a testament to the quality of his work. The job is beautiful, and he really treated our countertops like they were in his own home. He does the best granite repair and granite restoration! He was very proud of his work and very professional
The overall process went well. We started thinking we were just doing a minor kitchen update with new counters and cabinets. Jeremy gave us designs and an estimate. We decided to expand the project to include the addition and Jeremy promptly gave us new designs and an updated estimate. Burkham Built is a small shop so we were concerned about the project being done in time for our daughter's blessing but he made it happen. My wife and I are very picky and wanted to select most of the materials. We sent lots and lots of ideas and questions to Jeremy and he made sure we bought the right things from sinks to sections of rough butcherblock and tiles. It was nice and absolutely necessary for us to make the kitchen our own but have a really good builder there to check our decisions and put it all together. Many steps along the way were very dirty both inside and out and Jeremy did a good job keeping things clean enough for us to continue to live in our home with a baby and temporary kitchen setup in the dining room. Very early on he had a temporary sink installed which I would have never thought to do but was really helpful. Like any project there were some unknowns and surprises found along the way. Jeremy handled each one very well and in the end we felt satisfied with both the result and what we paid
Rick recently completed several home improvement projects in our home and I was very impressed with his meticulous craftsmanship and quality of work - even better than I was expecting, and at a rate that was quite reasonable. Rick is not only knowledgeable and friendly, but professional and experienced. There were several things in which he went the extra mile to make sure the end result was visually pleasing. I liked that I was kept informed of the progress, since I had asked him to do so many various jobs. I highly recommend Rick for your home improvement or repair needs. I will definitely contact him again when needed
Process went great! This is my second time using this company and both times the process went smooth and the end result was amazing. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to do a remodel!
We had met with several potential places to perform our work as this was the first major renovation we have ever done. After comparing the amount of time spent with us, truly listening to our concerns and providing us with what we wanted, and providing it at the best cost made this a very easy selection for us. Kim, the designer is amazing. She had a ton of ideas when she visited our home and made it a truly positive experience. The actual "design" took over 8 hours at the office to make sure that every little detail is planned out ahead of time. We were exhausted at the end of the day. However, without doing that, you can easily see where remodeling projects get out of hand and end up costing a lot more dollars and time. The cost also remained within the original quote (we made a few minor adjustments for a couple hundred dollars at our own choosing). An estimate of the time for the project was provided. Dan and Mark performed the actual work. They were great, kept us informed and did fabulous work. The site was kept clean which was tough considering there was a lot of snow outside. They also finished at the lower end of the time projection that was provided to us which was great as I had to go on a business trip and wanted to have this wrapped up. After the work was completed, a detailed walk through occurred for us to make sure we were happy with the work, to ask questions and to advise how we were to take care of all of our new products. This was extremely helpful. Within a month or two, we had a minor fix that was needed. Dan came out and took care of it right away. We also had a few more questions in the past month and spoke with Gordon, 11 months past the project date, and Dan again came out and answered our questions, and made a couple of minor adjustments. We are confident that if something comes up, we can continue to ask questions or have someone out if needed. We are so pleased with our results (and everyone that comes through is very impressed), that we will probably look at a kitchen remodel in 2015
My wife made the call. Sent a photo of the shower unit and received the quote. I was skeptical and had questions. I also believe peach will make a comeback. All questions were answered, the work was completed in a day and the end product looks great. It’s only been two weeks but the coating seems very durable. The shower already had a non slip surface that reflected through the coating, so we saved a few dollars by not needing the added non-slip surfacing which is a must have
Awesome from first call to finished job...we had a supply issue from a supplier not related to cream city . Jeff was super patient (thank you) working with us to continually reschedule once all the tile arrived .. he kept me up to date when he had openings to fit me in .. Jeff did an awesome job on the install .. I'm OCD and everything has to be perfect and perfect it is .. the tile looks great the work area was all cleaned up and the price quoted was the price paid . Definitely would hire agai
everything was done very professionally. Rich cleaned up after done for the day and we have had no issues with his repairs/remodel. Work was done Summer of 2020. We planned on selling our house and have fallen back in love with it and plan on staying. We are now currently having him quoting a remodel of our basement. He is also very knowledgeable on building codes and suggesting the options available for a homeowner. thumbs up on this handyma
My experience with Jason and his group was OUTSTANDING with my new kitchen remodel !! A 10 STAR rating I was so impressed with his quality work and product and STRESS FREE experience that I'm having him remodel my bathroom and Hallway!! I HIGHLY recommend this talented Contractor for your next remodel construction project!!
This is the third time I have contacted Home Aid Home Improvement for work on my house. I can always count on Kurtis to respond to my questions, suggest appropriate work needed and offer fair quotes. The windows he installed have been great this winter, it is a lot warmer in my house. The windows were installed properly, quickly and Kurtis cleaned up after the work was done. I will have him replace more this spring
They did a great job. I am very happy with everything that they did. They were very thorough. I had the plaster wall next to the tub touched up a few days before John came in and he noticed it was still wet when he got there. He researched all possibilities and found the problem and was able to resolve it. He gave me a bathroom that was more than I had hoped for. I am planning on having him come back and complete more projects as he does more than just bathrooms. He also fixed my window that has not opened properly since I bought the house
My major complaint was how long it took, but in their defense, there seems to be a shortage of qualified technicians. I would have given them an A for the repair work which was fine except for one small slip up which he corrected. The price seemed steep for the time involved, but cheaper than new countertops. All in all, I would hire them agai
We are first time home buyers that bought a 50+ year old home with lots of paneling and interior updating needed. We originally reached out to Dennis to quote mudding and tapping drywall. Dennis came out to the house the same day and made great suggests to help save us time and money at every turn. Shorty in to the project we came up with a few more budget friendly ideas and before we knew it, the house was really turning around. Dennis is a seasoned professional and I would definitely recommend him for any project. We will absolutely be reaching back out to him

What do customers in Milwaukee say about Countertop Repair?
We had a problem with a damaged Formica counter top. Many repair people looked at it and said that there is nothing to be done except to tear it all out and replace it. We then saw Jerry?s advertisement in the newspaper that said that they repaired counter tops without replacing them. He came out and was actually able to do a very good job in restoring the original appearance about 95% of what it has been. He was very economical compared to what it would have been in replacing the counter top. They did what they said they would do and their repair was effective. They were here when they said they would be. I would use them again future.
