We received a quote in advance to have a chandelier removed from our old residence and installed at our new residence. After the work was done, for more than $350 (the quoted amount), the installer asked for an additional $319 for "changing out light bulbs" - which was outrageous enough, because the "changing out" consisted of simply putting in some new bulbs, that we provided, during the reinstall of the chandelier; and there were only 8 bulbs to replace, so this wasn't some massive project. In addition, the installer didn't bring along a ladder tall enough to do the work - despite having been to BOTH residences a week or so ago, to give the estimate, for which they were paid $49 or so (yes, just to give the estimate) - and had to go and pick up a ladder, thereby adding a lot of time to the project; there were other problems, too - a van not big enough to carry the chandelier from one residence to the other, despite the fact that the installer had seen the chandelier at the time of the estimate. We reluctantly agreed to pay part of the requested $300 surcharge (over and above the agreed upon $350) because the installer and his assistant did work hard, did get the chandelier moved and seemed like nice people. But I would't consider hiring this company again and if you do hire them, watch out for bait and switch pricing. It is unprincipled behavior at best

They came and gave an estimate. The workman was professional. They installed a ceiling fan in a bedroom, and installed lighting fixtures in there too. They got the job done in a decent amount of time and cleaned up afterward.

Jerry was slightly late, but called from his van to keep me informed. He listened to my requests, made a few suggestions, and gave me a price. I gave him the go ahead and he started the work. He did everything I asked, and did it very well. He was pleasant and friendly, and I enjoyed having him in my house. He had to make a couple of extra shopping trips, but didn't add to the estimate. He even wore disposable covers on his boots while outside to prevent tracking snow in my house. I was very pleased with the overall experience

I love Elektra! I could not get the customer assistance from the big box stores, so I checked out Elektra and found the nicest and most helpful staff. From the street level, this store does not look like much, but once inside, there are so many decorating alternatives, it will make your head swim. Carol sat down with me for over a half hour to really get a feel for my needs. We poured over what they had in the showroom as well as catalogs. She knew exactly what I was looking for. One downside, they do not carry all their lighting in stock, so all my pieces had to be ordered. I did receive them in 5 weeks and in time for my electrician to do the final installation

The work was excellent and prompt in the scheduled time. I expected lots of dry wall damage/fix but the way IBSWI did the work is an art to watch. In the living room, no dry wall fix required and the outcome is excellent especially in the night. When Darren first visited the house for estimate, he suggested the light location and that is beautiful now. In the Den, pulling the wire was not very easy, but Darren was able to get it done with minimal cut in the ceiling. Overall I am quite satisfied with the excellent work done by IBSWI. The price is reasonable considering the amount of work involved (including the time taking chandelier assembly and install). This includes the material cost except chandelier

I spoke with Paul as the rep from the company. I was referred by my neighbor. Paul was extremely knowledgeable about the company and the products offered. (Being one of the senior people in the company, I would hope so. :-) The installers arrived on schedule, the electrician was early. This was a brand new AC install, my house did not have it before hand. The installers (Brad and Chad) worked around the window installers (other work that was being done today) and were very professional. The thermostat that was in my house was problematic, but the installers wanted to make that one work rather than charging me about $100 for a new one. I appreciate them looking out for my budget and doing a good job. They cleaned up the place well and did a thorough job of explaining to me how things are supposed to work. I would do business with them again

Robb & his team did a great job over a nearly 2 week period working around our home remodeling contractors and getting the job done well. They had the old patio removed in a day and the hardscape installed on a deep base of crushed and compacted rock within ~8-9 working days. Installation of the new plants was delayed until the irrigation (handled separately) was also in place. Robb's team was able to work around multiple obstacles including irrigation, cable, electricity, speaker wires, etc, and forward-thinking to install conduits under the hardscape in key areas to allow new lines to be run without having to take out the hardscape. Robb is remarkably diligent, conscientious, and fair and made this part of our larger project a simple task

Had a lot of work done. I needed ceiling lights, connected to wall switches, put in for 4 second floor bedrooms, which had no existing light fixtures. Ed cut holes in the ceiling and installed 4 electrical boxes (fasten 3 studs and one brace). Then he went up into the attic, ran wire to the wall switch, and put in new double switches. He then installed 3 ceiling lights and one ceiling fan. Next he went back up into the attic and ran new wire into 5 closets, and installed lights in them. Those lights were connected to the double switches he had installed before. Ed then replaced an older ceiling light with a new one. Finally, he replaced a couple of older breakers with new ones and put in some blanks too. Ed charges a Flat Rate for the work, so if it takes longer, it does not cost more. He is very profession, shows up on time, and works hard for the entire time he is there. I plan on having him come back in the future to do some more work that needs to be done

Kris and Hubert arrived on time every day and worked around my schedule. I must say that when I walk into my house it doesn't look like my house anymore. There is not a paint brush stoke out of place. My wife and I are very pleased with everything he did. We would leave our home and entrusted Kris to take care of things while we were gone. The entire project lasted about 12 days and when Kris was finished he brought the vacuum out and cleaned the carpeting in all the rooms he worked in. You can trust Kris to get your complete project completed per his estimate

We had a tree fall on our power line coming into our home. WEngeries had to cut power to our house for safety reasons as the line into our home was damaged. I called Monday morning for help. BSW came out early, was able to get needed permits to do the work and even got the village inspector out as soon as they completed the job. I had my power back before noon. Holland personnel did a good, quick job of removing the old chandelier and assemble and install the new chandelier. The Holland electrician not only did a proper electrical installation but also made sure that the arrangement and appearance of the shades on each light bulb was straight and attractive. The electrician also installed two replacement wall sconces in a foyer, making sure that the sconces were positioned evenly and that the appearance was correct, as well as the electrical hookup.
