FARWELL POOLS

It went very well! It took two visits. On the first, diagnostic, visit, the man said that with the leaking pipe in question might be very hard to reach the spot of the leak, and consequently quite expensive. I said that nevertheless the pipe had to be fixed. Imagine my pleasure when I got home the day of the repair job and the men said that they had been lucky and the repair was relatively easy to reach. It was my first contracted work with Farwell after having been associated with other local pool companies, and I was impressed.

Signed contract 2/09 and were told we were second on the list, excavation would begin 4/09 and we would "be swimming by memorial day". The only pool we got was a pool of lies and excuses why nothing was done. Pool manufacturer contacted us in June wanting to know why we were constantly delaying delivery of the pool. Once it was clear it was not us doing the delaying, the pool was delivered the second week of July and a crew was brought in from Missouri to get it into the ground. Once this was done, very little else was done. An electrician was sent out to do the rough in , but this later proved to have been done wrong and had to be done over at our expense. The pump and plumbing was put in late in July, but the plumbing for it was later found to have been done wrong and had to be done over as well. Meanwhile the water in the pool turned into a dirty cesspool. The owner of the company (Amy Shirley aka: Amy Brouwer) never returned to the job site after the pool was put in the ground and pretty much ignored all attempts to contact her and get the job done. She had someone come out to attempt to straighten the sides of the pool so the landscaping could be done, but that person only came out twice and never spent more than an hour or two each time and ultimately made matters worse. The contract expired 10/1/09 with nothing more having gotten done. We had to hire a new company to get the job done. We had also paid about $6 thousand dollars toward a fence to be installed, but that was never done either. They refused to refund any of our money. It was clear this company had no clue how to install the pool. They should not be in business. This company has also done business under the names: Lake Country Pools LLC; Lake Country Pool and Sunroom, LLC; Lake Country Pool & Spa Supply, Inc.; Lake Country Pools, Inc. The front person for this company is Amy Shirley AKA Amy Brouwer.

The transformation was amazing - left with a beautiful new yard space and not a trace of the old, crumbling pool. Took a little time to get it scheduled but once we did, they were done in 3 days. They worked cooperatively with city inspector and did a super job with cleanup - left nothing behind. They worked well in a tight space and tricky access - their experience in pool removal was evident. They were not the lowest bid, but they were well below the highest and were more inclusive than the lowest bidder. Felt the extra I spent to have them add top soil and remove my old equipment was worth every penny.

It took about 5 weeks to finally get them to visit the site and give me a quote, but, once they did engage they did a great job. I should also point out that I was not able to get two other competing contractors to respond either.

Outstanding. I have used Rec Con since I moved in to this home. It is my first home with a pool so I was a little overwhelmed. Jeff, (owner) is incredibly knowledgeable and was and is willing to share his expertise when ever I have a question or am trying something new. The staff in the store including those that do the billing/paperwork are friendly, knowledgeable not looking to sell me something I don't need. Nothing less than pure professionalism. Jeremy, the service technician is truly a " subject matter expert" and taught me pretty much everything I know about pools . so much so that I rarely see him anymore as I am able to do most tasks myself now. I could go on and on about details of every visit and service call but that would be redundant. bottom line is, if you need a new pool, or service or supplies for your current pool, you will be well served to give Rec Con a call. You WILL be pleased.
