Matt was the plumber who did all of the repair work. He was professional, knew exactly what he was doing and stayed on task the whole time he was in our home. He cleaned up any mess he created, tested everything to make sure the issue was resolved.

Very pleasant. Mark was great to work with, and explained everything to me. Since we needed to save some money, I performed the concrete tear out myself. Mark provided excellent direction on where to remove the concrete.

He fixed our shut off to the sink from the main. He explained why the current valve (that we replaced) was not working. This is what we called for but then we added on to check a toilet that has been leaking. Another plumber told us we would have to buy a whole new toilet set up. This man simply replaced the seal and has been dry for over a week. He also poured water down a shower drain that we never use. He explained about sewer gases and that this needs to be done once a month. The odor in that bathroom is totally gone. He was very thorough in explaining things.

Triggs Plumbing

Excellent! Trigs worked with my contractor flawlessly. I had a small bathroom that we expanded to accommodate a double vanity. The only way our floorplan would allow the expansion was to move a plumbing wall. Throughout the course of the project, they sent 5 different plumbers. All of them were very professional, communicated well with each other, and when something unexpected presented itself they were persistent in resolving the issue. They let me be nosy. And, they were happy to explain why they did things the way that they did them. At the end, all the pipes vent properly, the drains work flawlessly, all the fixtures were in perfect working order. They tested all the plumbing before the drywall went up. They worked very well with the carpenters and electricians and tilers to make sure that all the elements in our bathroom worked properly. The attached pictures show the work they went through to route plumbing around medicine cabinets, move the toilet drain, and route hot/cold water to accommodate three bath niches and a second shower head. I don't think I would go anywhere else for plumbing work in the city.

Luke was on time, courteous, and thorough. I needed to get ahold of him several times during the job and he answered his cell phone right away. After he had finished the underground pvc work I realized he had put the toilet drain a little further than I wanted it in one direction. He worked with me to get it right. He disposed of the excess concrete and old cast iron and left the site relatively clean (there was some small amount of rubble and pvc dust leftover that I swept up with a broom and dustpan and then vacuumed up).

I would use this service again if I could afford the full price, and that's why the 'B' overall . The other reason I rank them a 'B' on professionalism, and this is true of many kinds of repair/remodel people that come into your home, is their boots are dirty from other jobs, etc., and they don't put covers on them or take them off. So that is a general comment, not just this service. Once they've cleaned a drain, they are standing in the shower running water to make sure everything works, what do you think is going to happen next? The floors and carpets get dirty from the wet, dirty boots and then it's clean up time for you. That's exactly what happened. My hallway carpet has to replaced because of a bathroom remodel. Be sure to ask them when they arrive, most have the boot covers in their trucks. Otherwise they are professional.

Recent Review: He was able to fix all the issues I had and also gave me a couple of suggestions of how not to have it happen again. He was very friendly and professional. Called ahead and let me know when he would be here and he showed up a few minutes early. Was able to get an appt for him to come out the next day when I called. He was also very reasonable on his price. I would hire him again.

Recent Review: With the wet spring last year, we had some significant water ingress in our basement. Not wanting to deal with that scenario again, we asked for quotes from multiple drain tile companies. Standard Water Control was very prompt in replying to our request, and was able to come out 2 days later for a formal quote. The quote (while not cheap), was in line with the other vendors we looked at. What really put Standard Water in position to be selected was their dedication to being able to complete the job quickly. Other companies were scheduling 8-9 weeks out, and Standard Water worked with us to find a quick turn around. We were lucky to be able to have the work done just 3 days later! When the crew arrived exactly at the promised time, they very quickly went to work setting up the area. The foreman walked me thru the basement, verifying the notes and drawings that the estimator had put together, where the sump would go, and where the discharge pipe would be. The crew was very efficient, and by the end of the first day, had completely dug up around the base of the foundation, laid the gravel and drain tile. After an inspection, the concrete guy came the following afternoon, and was able to seal up the system. It took a week for the concrete the harden enough for new carpet to be laid down, as the ground was quite wet. My only complaint was that while the crew tested the sump, the connection for the pump was quite loose, and had worked itself out, so when I tested it the next day, the pump did not work as expected. I used a zip-tie to ensure that the plug would stay in, and have checked it regularly since, with no problems.

Recent Review: Dry Otter did an initial walk through, Followed-up with another walk through, called to verify the evening before, were on-time, left when they said they would, and came when they said they would. The jack hammering was not as loud as I thought and their new style hammer sucks up all dust and the dust that was left, was very minimal if even at all existent. They taped all of our belongings, laid down canvas to protect stairwell and driveway. All in all -- very professional. I would hire this company to do this work again. There was a piece of trim in the basement that was broken, but I am not too worried about that. Heck they even cut existing paneling in our rec-room and there was no saw dust, to get to to the actual foundation of the home.
