Back patio door window shattered when hit by a flying rock from the lawnmower. I used JR Door & Window, Inc for replacement. The installer Steve was extremely helpful and provided estimation services on what was supposedly one of his vacation days. Steve also did excellent service when installing the replacement vinyl window and even oiled/cleaned other parts of the double patio door that were not replaced. My only difficulty was with the front desk person who is in charge of scheduling and apparently ordering. I had to make several follow-up calls to have the replacement actually ordered and then scheduled for install.

Sales representative Mike did an excellent job explaining and demonstrating their product and discussing how they would handle the installation for our home. We had looked at three competing products and considered Brothers' product line to be the best value. No high pressure sales pitch, just a thorough explanation of the product and the installation service. After we selected Brothers' Home Improvement they made an appointment for the final measurements. The tech was clearly very experienced and explained how they would resolve some of the peculiarities with our installation. After final measurement it was about a month and a half for the product to be delivered. We had requested a large enough installation crew for a one-day install. Brothers' dispatched three techs to handle our installation of three patio doors and two sliding windows and they finished the job in one day as promised. Excellent care demonstrated in the installation. The finished product is beautiful and exceeds our expectations, particularly in suppressing outdoor noise. There were a couple of minor issues that were discovered during installation and Brothers' was very prompt in scheduling a service tech to resolve them. Very pleased with product quality, installation and post-installation service and with overall project cost. Would definitely recommend them.

Contacted company to replace Window Pane. Was quoted approximate price over phone and setup appt. for staff to come out and inspect for formal quote. Took about 3 days to get quote and quote was excellent compared to competition. Scheduled install for a Saturday. I was also including a matching window tint to my existing windows. Was contacted prior to Sat and informed window wasn't ready and we rescheduled for following Saturday. Installer came out but Window wasn't tinted but was told window tinter was on the way over to install tint after window was installed. No big deal. Installation went pretty smooth but installer dropped my window screen two stories. He reinstalled it and thats when I found out they also provide new window screens and also did work on the window sashes as I had two windows that would not open/close easily. They removed the sashes from another window and said I would be contacted for quote. It took about a week and I got the quote for the new sashes and I said I would bring in my window screen for quote. I also said I had found that the window the installer dropped had a tear in it and I didn't notice it when the installer replaced as they asked me not to open window for a couple of days after the tinting was put on. Nancy agreed to replace the window screen and charged me a reasonable fee to replace the 2nd window screen. Scheduled another technician for the Window sash replacement but when he tried to due had extreme problems and said needed two people to install and would have to reschedule. After some scheduling conflicts and a vacation on my behalf two installers came out and installed the sashes. Windows operated perfectly. COSTS: Windows about $200 Window Sashes about $180 1 - Window Screen about $15 1 - Window Screen - Free OVERALL IMPRESSION: EXCELLENT

California Replacement Windows
Took several bids and felt the quote from California Replacement was competitive. The owner Joel took a fair amount of time with us, answering questions and explaining the process. The reviews for his company were good. A date was set for install and Jeff and his crew arrived on-time. The installation took little over two days, which was a little longer than expected due to waiting for the city inspectors to be available. Overall the installation went smoothly and professionally. In addition to the window installation they drilled holes for me in the window to allow my security sensors to be installed. Also for free they patched up two areas in my back wall that needed new stucco.

I stopped by The Window Guys showroom in Corona on July 15 to look at replacing two patio doors. They schedule measurements for the next day. I placed an order for two patio doors on July 16. They said they would call within two weeks to schedule a date to install. They called in less than two week with a date to install on July 25. They were so efficient and right on with their scheduling, even calling the day before to confirm. The installation went very smoothly. It was evident the installers were very experienced. Everything went according to the plan that was outlined. Both doors were installed in one day.

Super Service Award Recent Review: The Work crews showed up on days that were previously scheduled on time, work crew cleaned up the work area every day they worked before leaving. They systematically performed the work meaning the kitchen remodel was moving faster then I expected and all worked out perfectly. The inspections were scheduled and either, The project manager or the crew manager met with the inspector. We were never asked to miss of day of work to meet with the inspectors. Before they installed the tile or countertops they met with either my husband or me to make sure that we were sure about the color or the type of material.

He has subcontractors and crews in various places and sometimes he is not able to supervise them as well as he would like. He was not able to get back to us at the end of the job to make sure all of our questions were answered, and sometimes he seemed surprised at what had happened between his visits in terms of the quality of the work.

Super Service Award Recent Review: This is the third time, I believe, that Rick Jamison Painting has worked on our property. On each occasion, Rick was very quick in responding to our request for quotation. The first time that we worked with Rick was after we had replaced our windows and French doors with aluminum-clad wood products. All of the windows and doors were received primed and all required paint. Obviously, after such a substantial investment, we were concerned that the windows/doors be painted properly to ensure continued function and weather resistance. Rick assured us that each window and door would be disassembled, painted, and reinstalled – and that is exactly how the work was performed. Four years later the windows and doors still function perfectly and look beautiful. Most recently, Rick refinished our stained, wood garage doors. Rick originally stained and finished the garage doors in 2014 and they came out beautiful. Now, four years later (almost to the day), they required refinishing. Carlos, Rick’s staining specialist, came out and refinished the doors and they look as good as new. Rick Jamison Painting has always exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to refer them to any of our friends or family.

Super Service Award Recent Review: We reviewed 3 contractors before choosing Butel Construction. The estimator, Tom was professional and punctual, and made us consider many details we hadn't thought of. Their estimate was the same as other contractors, within about $100 or so. The contract process was lengthy due to our specification, but Tom was responsive throughout, making all amendments we requested. Once the project commenced, we worked with Shai Butel, the owner, and his foreman. Both were a pleasure to see each morning. Whenever we were nervous or concerned about something, Shai would come over and work things through with us. His foreman was always willing to rectify something that wasn't to our satisfaction. They also handled the work site in an acceptable manner, disposing of the waste in their own receptacle and providing their own Porta-Potty to use, keeping the property as clean as they could. Our project was demanding, involving complex installations like a curbless shower with a channel drain, but Shai and his team are excellent problem solvers. In particular what I really appreciated was that they never tried to change my mind about what I wanted. They always worked to achieve my vision. They encountered many issues on our project which were unforeseen and Shai and his foreman always kept us in the loop as to what was happening. Whenever a change-request was needed, we received it in writing before any work commenced. And in the end, Butel facilitated the receipt of lien waivers from all sub-contractors. I would definitely have Butel Construction work on another project.

Recent Review: The estimate from Stone Age Designs was the most detailed and easiest to read. Lou spent the most time with us talking & measuring our house & discussing our project to get an idea of exactly what we would like to do prior to submitting his bid. We ended up selecting Lou and Stone Age Designs for our project. Even with all the add on's the project took just over three month to complete which was very close to the originally plan. The entire process went very smoothly. Throughout the project we had been in contact with Lou via email and text. Lou was quick to respond to our emails & texts any time of the day or night, very detailed invoicing, and always willing to spend time with us & answer any questions we had. Throughout the project, Lou was a big help with selecting materials. Lou did most of the purchasing & worked out all delivery & receiving details with each retailer. Lou did all the interior design for the project. After showing him a few inspiration shots of what we liked Lou then worked up & provided us with three different layout options, complete with 3D renderings. Upon agreeing & selecting a layout Lou & the crew quickly got started. Everything always moved very quickly. The crew was at the house six days a week, sometimes even seven, often working 10 hour a day. Both Lou and the crew also showed extreme attention to detail. After every task was completed Lou would do a walk through and mark anything, even for the smallest of imperfections, to be reworked. The crew was always very respectful and a pleasure to work with. When Stone Age was done the house was left clean and ready for move in, even the windows were cleaned. We are very happy with Stone Age & look forward to working with them on our next project.

Our house is beautiful and the work completed is without a doubt the best and the most complete and professional job anyone could ask for. Ron's crew of workers were amazing, working hard to make sure that everything was done perfect. Ron was here everyday to ensure that all was going to plan, that we were satisfied with the work that was completed and all our questions answered. Ron's estimate was accurate, there were no surprises at the end of the work. Ron's treated the work on our house as though he was doing the work on his own house. We have received many compliments on our house and we feel like it is the prettiest in the neighborhood. Anyone looking for contruction or work on their house would I am sure be happy with Halo Construction Group and Ron Schwartz's team. Out of 5 stars he gets 10.

Recent Review: Peter showed up at 8:10 (between 8 and 8:30), and within half an hour had installed a portable A/C unit in our library (when he installed the window stop, he didn't leave a gap to back the window off in the winter to remove the insert that the hot air exhaust uses, but that's a minor detail). He then went to Home Depot to pick up the larger one (unfortunately, Home Depot had resold it, and it took almost an hour to get the mess resolved, refunds made, etc. He then brought back the replacement, installed it in our master bedroom, again within half an hour. Peter cleaned up all the litter, including most of the styrofoam that fell off in the unpacking. We were very pleased overall.

Terry came to our house to measure the windows/doors for replacement. He was very personable and professional; he was on time and gave some options for the replacement. They ordered the windows and schedule for installations about 2-3 weeks after measuring. Unfortunately, they had to reschedule because of bad weather, they couldn’t do the installation while it was raining. When they arrived to perform the installation it was done in about 5 hours plus a lunch break. The two installers split up the work between the 2 sliders and the other 2 windows. They did a great job with the installation and cleaned up everything. It’s been about two months and everything they replaced is working great.
