When I discovered my first bed bug, I dissolved into utter panic. I couldn't sleep. Hated my house. Wanted to move! I called several pest control businesses and the prices varied from several hundred to several thousand dollars. Each offered a different approach: tenting, spraying, freezing, heating, sniffing dogs, no sniffing dogs... I was so confused. All I knew was that I needed help PRONTO! Scott, with Seaview, seemed the most knowledgeable, reasonable -- and HELPFUL -- of all the guys I spoke with. He was very polite, imparted clear, detailed information, and patiently allowed me to grill him as I tried to process my predicament. He even looked (via text) at a photo I had taken to confirm we had the nasty critters. Scott works all over the SoCal region but when I told him I was FRANTIC, he checked his schedule and agreed to come out the next day. He did an inspection and assured me we had a mild case. Then he sprayed -- quick, efficient. He guaranteed to respray if, within 90 days, we still had a problem. That afternoon, I purchased mattress covers from BB&B. (He offered to source less expensive/better quality covers for me, but I didn't want to waste a moment. I was in full battle mode.) A few weeks later, I woke up with the trademark trio of bites. I also found a smashed bug on the floor. And, Scott came back -- just like the first time: quickly and on-time. I wasn't surprised we needed to be re-sprayed because I had read how tenacious bed bugs can be. He seemed confident a second spraying would do the trick. But a few weeks later, I found a third bug scuttling happily across my quilt. Scott returned, and was clearly puzzled. The entire time, from the moment he arrived, he kept shaking his head saying, "It doesn't make sense..." He sprayed again. It wasn't until he was in my backyard packing up that I happened to make an idle remark about my neighbor's grandson, who had been living there on and off for the past year. Scott immediately perked up; he had noticed the house next door was vacant. He asked me to repeat the particulars, and with a light in his eye said he thought the adult bugs I had caught might have come from my neighbor's yard-sale items -- which, on several occasions, had been lined up against our adjoining wood fence. Scott reassembled his sprayer, treated the fence and adjacent area, and we haven't had a single bug or bite since! I cannot stress enough the psychological ICK-FACTOR of having bed bugs. All I know is that Scott made them go away. And, he did it quickly, intelligently, and inexpensively. You can't get better than that.
