Nick was pleasurable to deal with. He was very proffesional and prompt. Communication was also very good. I called Nick and met him at my home a few hours later. He tried to get sod ordered for the next day (a Saturday) but it was too late so they came over on Tuesday. His crew showed up at my home and were very courteous and got right to leveling the yard and adding soil ammendments. The sod had been delivered directly from the sod farm to my door step. The sod was very fresh. His crew had my sprinkler system modified to their liking (which they did not charge me for) and the sod layed down. After the crew finished the landscaping they cleaned up all the dirt and leaves in my entire back yard leaving the whole yard pristine and clean. It looked awesome and I was very impressed with the pride in workmanship. I would highly recommend them.

The owner was very nice and proffessional. He was always prompt and always answered his phone when I called. The service was performed on time, on budget, and the quality was excellent. Most importantly the sod was very fresh and I had no brown spots at any time. I highly recommend.

They removed and replace the sod and sidewalk but forgot to level areas in the lawn before laying sod. I had to add dirt under the sod in areas to level it off as they said they couldn't as the roots of tree were in the way.

Overall, it was very good. it was done in one day. I think them to be a teeny bit expensive, but looking at the grass now, 5 months later, probably worth it.

He was ridiculous. I had called him to get a quote and I walked away from the quote, because he was coming up with all kinds of charges above and beyond what was being advertised on your site. I said no thank you, it's too expensive and I walked away from it. He called me back and then he said he would do it for a little bit above what was advertised on your site. Then what happened was his girl called me back and asked me if the area he was going to lay the sod on had seven hours of daylight. Are you serious? I said I don't know I've never calculated the sun on my north side of my house. I didn't even know how to answer it, it was so stupid. I would never ever call him back again. Originally on your site it was for $500. He was saying, well there are dump fees and it's going to cost me to go to the trash, or wherever they dispose of it and he says the fees are higher now. I said I don't need it. It was stupid. It was just idiotic. I found my own gardener and I had him do it.

The job went greater than I could dream of. Kyle was very polite and never made me feel embarrassed when changing my original ideas, he was very patient with me. Every Ecology Turf member was friendly and greeted me with respect and a smile. Thank you y’all for your pleasant service.

Worst reno project since we bought this house - and there have been many projects! Buyer beware! After tilling, you will pay for someone to bring in manure (have since been advised this is very dangerous because...keep reading...). It appears, based on every other professional we've had come out since this disaster, the manure will bring NUT GRASS into your lawn. We had a decent lawn and after spending nearly $4000 with Roto Tiller Guy we now have an entire front lawn of NUT GRASS which is almost impossible to kill. When Mike did finally come out and look at the lawn his crew installed and all the nut grass permeating the grass that hadn't already died in a week's time, his response was that he was "not responsible for that and that now would be a good time for us to start getting rid of all that." Pacific Sod who Mike calls for you to purchase the grass will replace your dead grass but they can't do anything about the manure that will permeate your lawn. After this big expense we are left MUCH worse than when we started. A huge disappointment that we still have not been able to correct despite investing much time and money and consultations with true experts. You won't save money with RotoTIllerGuy - you will waste money and you will have begin again and invest much more money the 2nd time and you will probably never be able to rid yourself of the nut grass that will have been planted in your yard by RotoTillerGuy. In addition, much of the lawn is dying. Have been advised this is due to the fact that the sod was laid incorrectly, one on top of the other instead of like bricks as is correct. It was also laid with space in between which lets in air and dries out the grass. I could have done this so much better myself and really wish I had! Learn from our huge mistake! As many others have mentioned, since RotoTiller Guy is not listed with BBB there is no way to report this company...so hopefully this review will save you all the trouble we have purchased.

WE ARE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE OUTCOME AND INSTALLATION. HE FOLLOWED OUR DESIGN AND MADE SURE IT WAS DONE COMPLETELY AS WE ASKED. HIS OWN SUGGESTIONS WERE DEFINITELY WHAT WE WANTED AND NEEDED TO MAKE IT WORK.

The sod installion was fine. Mike showed up on time and completed in the time he specified. The sprinkler repair was not. He claimed there was nothing wrong with the sprinklers even though I told him the valve was damaged and needed to be replaced. He said if I had any other issues to give him a call. About 10days after work was completed I contacted him with pictures of our dying sod due to the sprinkler valve being faulty. He said he would come by to look at it, we set up an appointment, but never showed. After that he wont return my calls or texts. I decided to fix the valve myself.

Excellent work. The crew worked hard, showed up early every day and worked late. High quality work was completed in a timely manner and for a reasonable budget. Really enhanced the look of my home with the new driveway and lawn. Courteous, respectful, work crew and easy to get along with.

Simon sub-contracted with Luis Salazar to remove a tree (previously reported on) from my yard, strip the old grass and weeds, install a sprinkler system, level the yard, apply mulch and lay sod. Everything was done within the time frame promised, and it looks great. I have grass in the back yard only so my dog can have a play yard with agility equipment. I have begun removing the grass in the front and side yards to make way for California native plants.

This went very well. He installed drains, sprinklers, and laid down sod for me. I have had him as my gardener for years now and would highly recommend hiring him for yours as well. Him and his team are always hardworking and ensure our lawn is well kept.

I called Jason on Friday 10-19-12 at the number provided in the Angie's list 'Big Deal' for $199 for 8 man hours of landscaping and the ad clearly stated the following: Tustin Landscape, an "A" rated and "Page of Happiness" nominated landscaping contractor on Angie?s List, is offering 8 man hours of landscaping service for ONLY $199! This service would regularly be valued at $350, saving Angie's List members 43%! Landscaping Maintenance Includes: Fall Clean-Up Weeding Pruning Mulching Planting Drainage Apply Coupon Value Towards Complete Landscape Installations such as: Plant Design Paver Patios Retaining Walls Sprinkler System Lighting Water Feature Sod Jason first told me that the $99 ad was not good for sod. I told him I was looking at the $199 coupon. He said again that it wasn't for sod as he was walking to his truck. He pulled the ad and read the top portion. I told him again that the bottom portion said sod. He said, "Oh, you're absolutely right. Well, we usually come out and give an estimate on a job like that." He then told me that his 1st available appt was Sunday 10-21-12. I thought it was odd that the coupon said during normal business hours and he was going to come out on a Sunday. He said he has kids and works all types of hours. He offered an 08:30 appt time or some afternoon times. I chose 08:30, gave him my address and phone number. I never heard my phone ring and no one came to my home at 08:30 Sunday morning. Later Sunday evening, I checked my voicemail and Jason had called but there was no record of it in my call log. He told me that someone had driven by my home yesterday and that my yard is 'too small' for him but in the future if I have any other work to be done let him know?. I am very disappointed. I do live in a mobile home and yes, my side yard is small for sod-only about 200 sq. ft. because of the patio we have built and the furniture that is there. However, it also needs sprinklers the 26' flower bed in front of my house is empty and needs to be planted (we just removed all the old plants) and the 400 sq. ft. + in the back yard also needs to be pulled out and redone. Because someone did not come at the scheduled appt time, I didn't get a chance to discuss any of that with them. It's hard for me to believe that all of that landscaping is 'too small.' Also, in the Angie's List ad, there was no minimum $$ or yard size mentioned. I thought it was a coupon for 'man hours' and I could use it for many different uses as long as I purchased at least 4 or 8 hours. When I first called, Jason was easy to get a hold of and had a pleasant enough phone demeanor. He told me that the Angie's List ad had gotten him about 30 jobs and I commented that it was doing well and that was good to hear. It was unfortunate for me though since I still have dead grass and an empty flower bed.
