Called the Riverside office (same # as OC office) and left message with live person. She told me a contractor for my area would return call and make appointment. No one has followed up. Very disappointed. This was a large project which will now go to a contractor who WANTS my business.

It went fine except they had to come back to install a larger pump. They came back promptly to address our concern and installed a larger pump. They are one of the few contractors we’ve found in the Tressure Valley who actually returned a phone message and showed up when they said they would! We would hire them again in a minute!

Nick and his crew were very professional and timely. The water feature was a one of a kind piece that came out phenomenally well. Nick stands behind his work as well. 8 months after completion, the sand grout between the pavers was gone. Nick will be coming out to put new and different sand grout in at his cost w/o any complaints whatsoever.

When we decided to remodel our back yard, we thought we knew what we wanted. So we called a number of landscapers (at least 6 ? some from here on Angie? List and a couple from Craigs List), asked a thousand questions and as a result learned a great deal about all kinds of things we did not know about this kind of undertaking. This also resulted in a several modifications of our original plan. Seth Pompey came out to our home a number of times and patiently listened to our modified plans and helped us with budgeting, logistics and basic planning. Seth?s estimate was not the cheapest, nor was his the flashiest presentation. Nearly ALL the estimates we received were comprehensive and offered by very obviously competent companies, making this a very hard decision to make. But we chose Seth Pompey because of the amount of experience & knowledge he brought to the job as well as his ability to relay that to us, putting us at ease in investing the kind of time and money. The crew was made up of very polite, respectful, punctual, hardworking, self-starting individuals who were each very knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. They asked me questions that provided them with the information needed to give us the outcome we wanted. They also answered my questions directly and understandably. Happily, we did not experience any expensive surprises at the end. The estimate was extremely accurate and only went over in the areas that were options included in the estimate in the first place. After the work was done, I had some very small issues and questions that Seth responded to with the same timeliness, courtesy and competency that we had experienced throughout this project. SO. Yes we would use Seth Pompey Landscaping again in a heartbeat and have no reservation in recommending them to others. Thanks, Seth!

We had put a water feature in the backyard that worked poorly. We had it redone, and it still worked poorly. So we checked Angie's List and called Mystic Water Gardens. They took down the previous installation and put in a beautiful waterfall with a small stream, including landscaping, moving in huge rocks and installing an underground reservoir, all in one day. We asked them to come back and do one more thing, which they did immediately. We are very pleased and would hire them again in an instant. I'm attaching a video that shows the water feature both in daylight and at night. It's so pretty!

This is the Dream Team, from concept to design to implementing, everything exceeded our expectations. This is a first for us, we will be using Nick and his Team again. Nick comes out initially to discuss interests then provides a professional drawing of the design in scale, we had a rough idea of what we wanted and he ran with it. We love it, top to bottom, wouldn't change a thing. (another first for us) In addition to providing quality work Nick and his Team were on time, clean, and friendly. Honest, hard-working, and trustworthy. Nick and his Team are always welcome at our place. Thanks Guys!

Vega did an excellent job with our backyard landscaping project. The project started on time and was completed in the expected 6-8 weeks. His team was very professional, arrived on time every day, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Vega handled all aspects of our project, including softscape and irrigation, hardscape including construction of water feature and fire pit, and landscape lighting. Craftsmanship and skill were excellent. Great value and would definitely work with again.

Integrated Paver Systems
5.0
We had hired Integrated Paver Systems to design and build both a fire pit and water feature in the back yard. Both are now completed and they came out great. For the water feature, we just wanted one of those things where the water comes out of a vase or two and spills onto some rock for a bit of sound and atmosphere. When we went shopping to look at pots, my wife picked out 3 really big ones - much larger than I had anticipated. But, I bought them and brought them home and put them in the back yard for Mark and his crew to do something with. They really came through; I was sure it was going to be terrible, but they built a brick platform for them that flows perfectly with the rest of the yard and arranged the pots on it perfectly. Plus, all the little touches like the solid concrete base, the water controls, the pump on a timer, the lighting effects on it, the way they jumped in on their own to waterproof the inside of the pots (I had no idea pots might need to be waterproofed), etc. Makes me wish I'd just let them go buy the pots or whatever they thought might look good right from the start.

Rob promptly came out to examine the filter. He took it apart to determine why it wasnt working. He figured out which pump was connected to it and was able to get it going again. Rob also gave me good advice as to how to control the weeds in my yard. Rob was reliable, knowledgeable and very helpful.

Roman arrived on time. he evaluated our fountains, recommended a good cleaning and advised us to let him create some openings in one fountain's base to facilitate the water movement into the pump. He was in an out in an hour. the fountains look and work great. he knows his stuff and told us where to buy the 'safe' chemicals to keep them clean. if we need anyone to fix out fountains he is the choice.

Recent Review: I have been enjoying my backyard with both pavers and artificial turf, a custom dog run, and a fountain that System Pavers designed and installed for me almost seven years ago and absolutely love it. They made my dream back yard come to life--and everything came out exactly as promised and right on budget. The sign of a good company is one that stands behind its work, and System Pavers and Project Manager Ryan Mainwaring, along with colleague Roger Torres & supervisor Luis Paez, personify System Pavers' quality guarantee. When I experienced a small problem this month with part of the installation, despite the fact that everything was almost 7 years old, Ryan and crew came out and fixed the problem and made sure I was satisfied and happy. I could not be happier with my back yard and System Pavers, and highly recommend them!

Recent Review: We are an HOA Condo Development located in Burbank. After speaking to about six other pool contractors we fortunately chose SBW to do a complete renovation of our 50-year-old commercial pool. Many of the other pool contractor salesmen we spoke to drove a fancy Mercedes Benz and told us how many expensive pools they have built in Beverly Hills. Daniel Stolle with SBW drives a big working pickup truck and he was raised in a pool building family that goes back several generations. Daniel knows the pool building business from the ground up and still gets his hands dirty. The whole process of negotiating the contract was smooth and we never felt like we were being pressured. Daniel was always available to answer our questions and speak to our HOA Board. Throughout this initial process, SBW was great at responding to our email and phone calls. Once construction started, we transited to text messages and we could count on SBW to get back to us promptly. SBW prepared a detailed project plan for our project and they stayed on their plan throughout June and July 2020 during the pandemic. Although we had some minor delays due in the permitting process, the project started and finished on-time. The SBW Team were incredibly helpful and professional in refurbishing our pool. They did an amazing job and exceeded our expectations. The SBW crew members were a dream to work with. The staff were friendly, responsive and they care deeply about the quality of their work. Any issues have been small, and the team has worked quickly to remedy any problems through great communication. I can’t recommend SBW highly enough! The SBW sub-contractors were excellent. The Demo crew, the Chippers, the Plumbers, Cement Crew and the Plasters all were in and out of our property in one day. Their work was fast and neat, and the quality of their work is exceptional. The crews showed up on time and were respectful of our residents and our property. The crews went beyond their normal jobs to take care of special requests without a fuss. For example, one day a vendor’s Driver delivering several pallets of coping and he had a problem safely delivering on our steep driveway. After the Driver broke several pieces of coping, I called SBW and they sent over two men from another job to help the Driver to safely unload the material. SBW has a strong, experienced team who have expertise in numerous trades. I was impressed with the time the crew take in measuring and remeasuring on laying the coping and setting the tile. The concrete lines and storm drains were planned out in detail and the final product looks great because of this level of detail in every part of construction. The crew always take their time to do things the right way. Sometimes things didn’t work out liked they wanted, and they did it over without being asked. These guys have pride in what they do, and it shows in their work. I was impressed with their level of detail. During the process we had several change orders for unforeseen problems that cropped up. We always felt SBW treated us fairly in these change requests. On several items SBW provided more than we expected and SBW ate the additional expense rather than pass it on to the us. We never felt like we were being nickeled and dimed. SBW frequently did little things to go above and beyond to create a memorable, positive relationship. It’s been a pleasure working with SBW and we were a little sad to see them move on to their next pool project. It’s not often when you can find a vendor who keeps their promises and exceeds your expectations. SBW is one of these rare finds! SBW has exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend them. We like them so much we want to keep them around to service our new beautiful pool on a weekly basis.

Recent Review: Ioriginally contracted John to design a landscape for both my front and back yards - which he did beautifully. Before installation, I decided to build a pool/hot-tub in my backyard. John was very patient while we took the next 6 months to build the pool. John was always available and happy to help guide me along the way regarding pool design and decking decisions. When the pool was finally completed, John came back with new designs for landscaping. I mentioned I always wanted to change the exterior of my home but had no idea how to design a new "look." John stepped up to the plate once again. Who knew my landscaper could also design houses? John drew a beautiful design for the exterior front of the house including recommending a window designer for whom he had personal experience. I have been very pleased working with John who is a brilliant designer and very amiable. My house, while the project is not quite complete is going to be stunning with a new faced as well as exceptional, drought tolerant landscaping.

Recent Review: We got a number of estimates. At first we were just doing the driveway. Later we decided to add the atrium area, too. We had gotten a second estimate for the larger job which sounded better than the estimate given us by Systems. We had a lot of difficulty deciding what we wanted (concrete, stamped concrete, style of pavers, etc). While we were trying to make up our minds, Systems called back and asked to come a second time to show us more alternatives. The salesman (Jay) spent a lot of time with us and was able to show us some images on the computer of our house with the different options. Systems matched the lower price we had gotten from another company and it was clear they wanted our business. We finally selected a color and tile type and slated the project to begin in a couple weeks, a time that worked best for us. I think the project turned out to be harder than expected, as removing the concrete in the atrium was a huge job. It was thicker than expected and all had to be broken up and removed by hand. Nonetheless, the job progressed on schedule. When they started to lay the pavers we were very concerned about our choice of colors, which looked different to us than what we had expected. It was very clear the foreman wanted to make sure we were happy and we managed to use two of the three colors in the mix without getting a checkerboard effect. They finished the project in 5 1/2 days. The workmanship was perfect and they didn't cause any damage, even to surrounding plantings. I cannot say enough about their professionalism or the skill of their work. The finished project is exactly what we ordered. To be honest, we are still getting used to the change. The colors go beautifully with the house and we just finished painting the garage door. It really does look great. My only possible advice to anyone considering this company is to get the best price you can. Other than that, I cannot fault this company in any way. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Andrew was our project manager, and he was so professional, responsive, helpful and informative, really a true pleasure to work with. Recent Review: Rick Moat, and his son Brandon, did all the work themselves. Showed up every day, strong work ethic, and a wealth of invaluable knowledge on fish ponds, fountains, equipment, plumbing, etc. Full licensed contractor. Really good at design/build, but we already had a pretty good plan of what we were doing. Able to solve problems on his own, without you coming home at the end of the day and dumping it in your lap. Would not cut corners on materials, equipment or design, even if it meant cutting into his profit. Would rather not get a call from someone down the road on something that he could have built in a way to avoid the problem. I met with about 5 people before Rick, and I'm glad I waited until he was available. His website is www.expertfountainpond.com.

Recent Review: Rich is a waterfall expert, a real one. I had much trouble with several prior alleged waterfall experts who just cost me money and made the problem worse. Rich new exactly what to do. He was very diligent in calling all over town to find the special pump i needed, and came the day before my wedding to fix it so it would be working for the party. He did a great job and his price was more than reasonable. (Most of the price above was the cost of the pump)

Recent Review: July 2014 update: When Randy read the comment below about being slow to respond to fix the problems that appeared, he promptly resolved the problems. He also performed some additional improvements to the scope of the work that turned out perfect. Overall, the experience with Randy Haney and Haney Landscaping has been excellent. The landscaping has grown in and I get compliments on my beautiful yard pretty much daily. January 2014 update: the landscaping grew in nicely. Some plants died and the cement walkway he subcontacted has cracked and separated. Randy promised to repair on multiple occasions but to date nothing has happened. This is disappointing. January 2013 entry: Overall my recommendation is and quot;Use Haney Landscape- Randy Haney and his crew are fantasticand quot;. He did what he said he would do, on time, with the highest quality, and the smartest design. Randy and his team were always there when they said they would be. They were on time, worked hard, were respectful to me, my property, and my pets. Randy worked with me to get the best quality plants and prices, developed a gorgeous project design, and was an outstanding partner in this endeavor. All the irrigation, hardscape, and planting designs were done with the highest quality. The neighborhood has a huge gopher population so they put all my plants into gopher baskets prior to planting them. I don't hesitate to give Randy Haney my highest recomendation.

What do customers in Los Angeles say about Water Fountain Installation?

The overall project turned out looking nice but there were some solid bumps along the way. The grill is just now working and only after my friend figured out that they had used the wrong conversion kit for natural gas grill. It took more than one meeting to convince them that I did not like a lot of hardscaping and then I was charged a lot more (~$1000) to put in ground cover--which should have been included in the original estimate. It seems like the big picture stuff all went pretty well but there were a lot of punch list type issues that I am just dealing with myself vs continuing to take off work to meet with them. There is a 1 inch gap on both sides of my built in grill. It looks like someone didn't measure it correctly; One of the stones on my raised bed is loose; the back side of the counter for the grill is just tile sort of overhanging by a 1/2 inch; something is going on with the drainage such that water pools on my patio; every iteration of the design included bamboo but when I asked where it was toward the end, she charged me extra $200.00 to go buy the bamboo; they told another worker on my property to use the trash bin they rented and then charged me $250.00 for going overweight. The list of nickel and dime charges and annoyances sort of goes on and I just got tired of it. I was made to feel like a jerk for asking that things be tightened up and after spending 20k on this project, I am just tired of dealing with it. It looks pretty but we will be working on it ourselves to finish up where Hawkeye just kind of fizzled out. I had already recommended them to a friend before the job "finished" (subject to interpretation considering I get to go mix up mortar to keep that stone from falling on my dog someday). I'm not sure if my friend is going to go forward using Hawkeye but I will be sure to warn her to be prepared to watch a little more closely as they get near the end of the job.
