I hired Royal Oak to install hardwood floors in my home and my experience with them throughout the project was excellent.

Elizabeth was very professional and punctual. Very good price and very good work quality. They did a very good job with the hardwood floor installation. Her people were very professional and also clean up after everything was done. Had a walk through when the work is done. I was very happy with the work.

They did a great job of installation of hardwood and carpeting. They gave a fair price. They were personable, warm and friendly.

Removed all furniture, removed laminate floor and baseboards, removed padding, scraped concrete pad and checked for moisture, installed new hardwood floor and new baseboards and moldings, cleaned floor, replaced all the furniture.. The installers were very professionsl and efficient. They Arrived at 9:15 AM and were finished by 1:30 PM

We have a 99 year old home and could not salvage the floors. They gave us a quote, installed the flooring and toe moulding. They used great care to ensure no damage was done to the original baseboards and door casings. Prompt and professional. Minor disappointment: we removed a wall and there is a depression in the floor where they didn't completely level the subfloor.

THEY DO A LOT OF FLOORING IN THE AREA. THEY WERE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE PRODUCTS, AND THEY WERE ABLE TO REFER RELIABLE PRODUCTS. THEY ONLY USE ONE GUY TO INSTALL THEIR FLOORS SO YOU ARE NOT GETTING A RANDOM INSTALLER. IT IS A FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED BUSINESS. A HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAM.

We very much regret hiring this company to install our flooring - it was an expensive mistake. We will now have to find another company to correct or re-do much of their work. We paid over $1,000 to level the floor. The floors have large craters and are extremely uneven. Parts of the floor raise up when other parts are stepped on, and the floorboards creak when you walk over the large holes that are underneath. The contractor came back once to do some extra work, and that improved the situation, but we are still very unsatisfied with the work and have to live with floors that are very uncomfortable to walk on.

Made good recommendations regarding installation prior to commencing work. Explained process in detail. Work was completed in a professional and quality manner.

It has been three weeks since Sequoia installed our new floors and we are still in awe. Josef and his crew brought experience and intelligence to a process we had previously been very frustrated with. The living room and dining room of our house has had hardwood floors and for a long time we wanted to carry the look into the rest of the house. (Three bedrooms and a long hallway.) This presented the problem of how to color match the tone of the existing maple or install a ?complimentary? wood in the rest of the house. For more than a year we went to various hardwood suppliers were told to ?pick a sample, take it home, and let us know whether this works for you.? Some of samples looked OK, but the thickness wouldn?t work. Some of the vendors gave us information that conflicted with what we knew was true. None of the suppliers actually did their own installation and they expected us to find an independent contractor to lay the floor. All and all, a less than rewarding experience. We were about to give up and just put down carpet when we were tipped to Sequoia by another tradesman. After we visited their Van Nuys store and, once again, picked up some samples - Josef came out to the house listened to our desires and assessed the situation. After looking at the existing flooring he told us he thought he had a better idea than the samples we had chosen. Three days later he delivered samples from two floor providers that were not in stock, but he thought would be better matches. Wow, does he have a great eye - they were almost exact color copies. (The reason they weren?t exact matches is due to the 25 years of polish build up on the existing floors.) A week later, the material was delivered to the house. Installation was a breeze (for us) and the quality was extremely professional. All of the crew works for Sequoia and so it had the additional advantage of being ?one stop shopping?. Attention to detail is always appreciated and the crew paid particular attention to the doorways. Not only did they center the slats under the door but they transitioned the height between the new hardwood and the tile in the bathrooms so that a casual observer couldn?t tell there was a difference. Nice. Obviously we are pleased with the work and appreciate Josef?s eye and listening skills. We would recommend Sequoia to anyone.

Josh is a great guy. His work is fantastic and he is very personable. The only issue during the job was not with Josh but with who was supplying the orders. We came up short on what was needed twice because that person said that we didn't need that much even after the short fall the first time. Overall it was a great experience and we love our floors.
