All appointment times were met. Installers did an excellent job, and the job site was kept clean. All in all, an excellent experience.

Panter's Hardwood Floors Inc.
5.0
From the gitgo Panter's was exceptional. Vernonica, was responsive via phone, text and email. I visited their showroom in Banning, CA and was very satisfied with the options that I had for the cork. Panter's was at the house the next day taking measurments and prepared a bid which was delivered in an understandable format covering all the options that I wanted. I should say that much of our communication was done long distance as the cork would be installed in a home we had just purchased while we still lived far, far away. I instantly sized these folks up as people I could trust from afar. Bottom line, they did an exceptional job of installing the cork in an astonishingly short period of time! They were so efficient in the installation that there was little waste of material the consequence of this is they came in under the bid price! Just received a call today from Sandy Panter today making sure that I was satisfied with the installation. Yes, yes and yes. I recommend Panter;s Hardwood Floors without reservation! Thanks Panter's!!!

Flooring Innovations

The only problem we encountered was a mix-up on the installation date. However, once we set a new date, the installation began on time and was finished on time. This installation required removing and reinstalling, a refrigerator, ice machine, dishwasher and wine cooler. The crew also had to remove the old floor and remove a layer of glue. The overall job was done very processionally and the guys made sure they cleaned-up as they went along. This kinds of jobs can be very messy, but this crew was extremely conscientious. We were amazed at the quality of the workmanship of the installation of the new floor. All-in-all we are very impressed with this company. If we need flooring needs again, we will definitely use this company.

Miguel is terrific and did a wonderful job installing some flooring that we had already purchased. We had some Armonim Wise carbon-negative cork flooring. Miguel was very professional, timely, reasonably priced and did a great job. Many thumbs up!

The Floor Center
5.0
At the store both Michael and Robert were helpful to me in choosing the flooring and carpet. The flooring took four days of preparation and installation. Detail work for transitions and shoe was excellent (including matching to my paint color). The flooring was a messy job, but the installers were very good about clean-up. They also were very courteous and professional at all times. The carpeting was done over two days and the installation looks very good and I am pleased with it. Again the installers were courteous and pleasant at all times. I am very pleased with the overall outcome.

Bixby Plaza Carpets & Flooring
5.0
This is the second time I have worked with Louie Weinmueller at Bixby Plaza Carpeting and Flooring. He is really knowledgeable! Bixby Plaza has a great selection of floor coverings and window treatments. I started by going to their showroom and choosing cork flooring in the color I liked, and also looking at options for some area rugs. Louie then came and took all the measurements to put new cork flooring throughout the house, except for the bathrooms which had recently been refloored. He brought samples of the cork flooring, which is what I wanted, and also samples of available baseboard designs. We agreed on the product, and when the work would be performed, which was important because this was the 4th step in a 5 step upgrade of my house, and had to be coordinated with the overall schedule. While the cork is a bit expensive, Louie understood that I wanted to use it because it is an environmentally sustainable product, and is softer and quieter underfoot than hardwood. He gave me a couple of breaks on pricing, where he could, since this was a big order. Louie returned once to double check some of the measurements, to be sure that the order would be correct. We stayed in touch re the start date. When it was time to do the installation, the Bixby Plaza crew first removed all the old carpet and padding. All the furniture was out of the house (in storage) so they did not have to work around any furnishings, which expedited the process. However, once the carpet was gone, they were able to determine that the subfloor was really uneven in several places. They were unable to level it just using leveling compound. In two places they had to lay additional plywood. They did an excellent job of this, and included adding additional screws in the old subfloor in several places where the floor squeaked, to stop the squeaking. It definitely all feels more level and solid that it did before. Even with this additional work, they were able to stay within the original estimate of two weeks to complete the work. I didn't realize that Bixby Plaza also offered window coverings, but Louie mentioned this to me, so I took a look at their woven wood blinds. They are made so much better than the ones available at home improvement stores that it was east to make the decision to buy these from Bixby Plaza. In the family room, to cover a large sliding glass door, the lined woven woods are hung vertically, in a track that allows them to be opened by just pushing lightly on either side - - I love this feature! For the kitchen, the woven wood is hung horizontally, and I selected the option of having the lining hung separately, so that the amount of light coming in can be more controlled. When I want more light, I can raise the lining but leave the blinds lowered, or have both the lining and the blinds raised or lowered at the same time. These blinds come with sturdy rollers and pull cords, which I love. My previous blinds had such flimsy cords that they broke after a couple years of use. They didn't seem to be designed for someone who raises and lowers their blinds frequently, which I do, so I really like the sturdier mechanism and thicker pull cords. And, finally, I was very satisfied with the two area rugs, which are nicely edged. Louie came back to check on the work a couple weeks after installation. He found that the caulking had shrunk in a couple places, at the corners of the cork edging strips, so he had the crew return and redo it. I am very satisfied with the work, and happily recommend Bixby Plaza for flooring and window coverings.

Quality Carpet Cleaning Inc
5.0
From the get go, the office was very responsive. They fit me in on a busy day. Robert was at my home on the dot, did the job, and left. When Robert first saw my area rug SHAG, he said the dirt was buried into the fibers. I guess he was trying to lower my expectations, but when I saw how clean he got the rug I was delighted. He also did a beautiful job with the hall way. When I told him the floor under the shag rug was cork and it doesn't like water, he moved the whole operation outside to spare my cork floor. I will definitely call Quality Carpet Cleaning AGAIN. A plus!

LAURIE'S FLOOR COVERING
5.0
We chose Laurie's because of their wide selection of eco-friendly floor coverings, but due to the uneven nature of our floor we were unable to choose a truly eco-friendly product. Tish in the sales room was extremely helpful, pointing us to cork flooring that we found very interesting but ultimately didn't work for us. The estimate was made promptly by the owner, who also gave us a personal recommendation for a cabinet maker, that we needed for our antique home. The flooring was installed within a week of our making a choice. Installation was courteous and prompt. There were a few areas that may have taken a little more attention, however, the cement floor was so uneven as to prove a serious challenge for any installer.

Gagne Hardwood And Laminate
5.0
I called Gagne for an estimate to replace the flooring in our living room, dining room, kitchen, entry, and hallway. He came to our home and measured out the space. We talked to him about several flooring choices. He was willing to install flooring we purchased somewhere else or from him. He showed us several samples of wood, bamboo, and laminate. After talking to him about the pros and cons of the different types of flooring, and after he showed us a new laminate style that we had not seen before, we decided on a laminate. Even though he knew we were not ready to purchase and install right away, he was not rushed and was willing to talk through all the options. Within a a day or so, he emailed us quotes on a few of the options we had discussed (which included removal of tile etc, installation of new flooring and 5in.baseboard). Several months later we were ready to go ahead with the purchase and install. He very quickly worked us into his schedule on a weekend because that worked out best for us. Included in the $4,500 was the removal of tile in the entry, dining room, and kitchen. It also included removal of cork flooring in the hallway and carpet in the living room. When he removed the tile in the entry he found that some of the area had been patched at one point and was not level. He had to grind this area down and level it. There was no change in price for this. With two men working on this project, they were done in about a day and a half. They were very neat and very professional. The floor and baseboard look great! I would highly recommend this company.

Hardwood Flooring Depot
5.0
I could not be happier! I went to Hardwood Flooring Depot and Camron let me take as much time as I wanted to review all their flooring samples without any pressure. They have a very large selection of hardwoods, laminate and cork flooring and they also sell direct. After I chose my flooring, I got another bid and it was NEARLY DOUBLE that of Hardwood Flooring Depot. All my many emails were promptly answered. They delivered my floor four days early so it could acclimate to the temperature. Then they came and installed the flooring in one day. They were very cautious with the installation and very precise, and the lead installer was very courteous and customer-service oriented. After it was in, I did not like the pattern that a few of the boards were making, and I asked him to reshuffle the boards in that area. He did, even though it was already 5:30 pm and they were almost ready to go home. And he did it with a smile! In short, I found a great selection, great customer service, rock-bottom pricing and careful installation of my floor. I just stumbled upon this company on the internet and boy am I glad I did.

RENTERIA FLOORING
5.0
Jesus and his employees did a great job. I had some bad water damage to my cork flooring and needed to get it replaced. Jesus came and gave me a fair estimate, let me order the new flooring myself (so I could save a little money) and once it arrived had his guys there to do the job in a few days. They arrived on time 8:30am and were done by 1:30. His brother who works for him supervised the job and pointed out a few items that needed to be addressed once the old floor came up and before the new floor went down. They were small things, but he took the time to notice them, point them out to me and repair them without changing the price. This was the first time I had work done without Jesus there on the job, but felt like I was in good hands just the same with his brother. The original floor was installed by them over 6 years ago, they came back and sanded and polyed them about 3 years ago and layed carpet in another room for me. This is the 3rd time I've used Jesus Renreria Flooring and I would use them again without hesitation.

Starkwood Hardwood Floors

After a few months both the laminate and the cork began to separate. The provider came back and fixed once then it happen again. He said it was moisture so I called in a Home inspector for addition 400.00 whom determined there was no excess moisture not only inside but also under the house as I do live on a crawl space. The Provider Jay Stark came out with what seemed to be a friend but he said it was the manufacturer of the floor. He agreed with Jay moisture. There isn't any excess moisture in my floors or in my house. The floors were laid incorrectly. I spent 3967.00 on the laminate floors and an additional 2900+ on the cork floors.. Jay said he'd call me back in a couple days to set up an appointment to come and fix the floors and that was on 1/9/2014 and as of today Feb 6 I haven't heard a peep from him. I've given him over 5K dollars and my floors look like crap. He says he's been laying floors for 20+ years and has never had this problem. Well when I hired a licensed contractor and paid this amount of money is wasn' to have floors that look like crap within 3 months of installation.

Lumber Liquidators - Los Angeles

The cork laminate flooring I purchased installed well and looked good initially, after just a few weeks the joints started to open up and develop raised edges that looked really bad. Of the original 13 boxes (23 sq ft per box) that I purchased 6 were still unopened and returned to the store for a refund, and I was told by John with customer service that a warranty claim had to be filed for the 7 boxes that had been installed, and they requested samples. Getting samples of what had been installed meant pulling up everything, John said that was fine and to take it all back to the store where I got it. Everything was returned to the store and they said they would get the samples sent for evaluation, at their request I also sent several pictures of the installed flooring showing the bad joints. After a couple of months with no response I contacted John again and only then was I informed that the claim had been denied as they did not find anything wrong with the flooring samples, he also stated that the pictures did not make any difference for the claim and that it was all based on company evaluation of the samples, and that they would do nothing more. So there is a remainder refund of $535.06 that they have denied while all of the product from the original purchase has been returned per their agreement.

kept appts - however, the only thing was that I was not clearly informed of base options until the day before installation, and I had to pay for a cork underlayment - would have been better if we'd talked about it on original scout.

Recent Review: weare now remodeling the kitchen. My father loved cork and they have removed the cork from the kitchen walls and dining room, replaced all wiring in the kitchen, put in recessed lighting in the kitchen ,took out part of the wall for a for a more open look. Joe BOARON was a excellent contractor.. He walked us through the whole process. He listened to what I wanted and came up with the kitchen of my dreams.. The workers were on time and he made sure everything was to my satisfaction. I enjoyed going and looking for the faucet , Backsplash, and tile for the flooring and learning from JOE how the process works. We only had one hickup and that was the carpeting the outside contractor tried to give low grade carpeting and JOE took care of it . He made sure it was the quality I wanted and told me this what he is for .. He is my representive and If I am not happy neither is he.. You should get what you want. Diego who was one of the workers was excellent he painted, plastered the walls , Took off the cork and many other duties. He aimed to please and worked very hard and explained what he was doing .. Always came to work with a smile.. They have provided a beautiful place where it once was dark and depressing to amazing light..The company provided me a stove, mircowave, and dishwasher . I was told that do not do that for everyone.. I am very grateful and blessed to have found this company.. If I couldnt get a hold of JOE I could get a hold of Kerry in the office and she would let me know what was going on that day..THANK YOU SUPREME REMODELING...For all your kindness..

Recent Review: We needed our bathroom redone. Mike promptly returned our call, showed up at our house ON TIME to give us an estimate, and was extremely forthcoming in describing our different aesthetic & pricing options, which were very fair. Once the work began, Mike and his crew were punctual, efficient, communicative, and responsive to our needs. They were diligent about keeping our house clean, showing us the work every day, and explaining what was being done when necessary. All the workers were polite and efficient. We are extraordinarily happy with the results, and offer our highest recommendation to MF Construction.

The workman were both punctual, took extra effort to clean up and prepare both the interior and exterior of the house in painting. We went through a remodeling at the same time of our tile floors and carpets and they took extra effort to work with us as timing and around the other contractors. I cant thank the paint team enough for all their time, extra effort, and workmanship. regards mike

Recent Review: Scott is very detail-oriented and went over the whole house with me for probably 90 minutes. I removed the carpeting myself to save some money and then he came over to inspect the subfloor and check the place out. He used a laser level to check every room and explained what he was doing (like the difference between a level floor and a flat floor). I really like to know all these little things so it was great for him to explain it all to me. He inspected the cork floors in the bedrooms and said they're good to install over because they're down really well, but advised using glue and nails. The rest of the place had plywood sheathing over diagonal sheathing and he marked soft/squeaky areas that needed to be nailed. The kitchen had vinyl flooring, so I removed the cove flashing (the part that curves up the wall a few inches) and they installed over the vinyl into the plywood beneath. The wood was delivered and sat in the house for a few weeks while our other contractors did their work. Installation took 4-5 days. They cleaned up after each day which was great since I was working on the house each night. There was an HVAC return on the floor which I forgot to tell them was not going to be used anymore, so they installed around it. I called Scott to tell him it should just have floor laid over the hole (which involved ripping up that section of floor and I think laying some plywood, then relaying new floorboards). It cost us about $50, but it thankfully didn't delay the job and they were cool about it. After installation, but before sanding, our electrician damaged two sections of the newly installed floor in the kitchen. OTF fixed these up for $45 (about an hour and a half of labor, I think). After installation the wood sat and acclimated for two weeks before sanding began. This is per the National Wood Floor Association recommendation. If you pay attention to your floor you can really see (feel, really) it move over the two weeks. We really wanted to get into the home by September 1 and in order to make that happen, sanding needed to be finished by the prior Saturday. This was cutting it really close from our original schedule, but they made it happen and were done so that I could get in and apply the finish on Sunday. After sanding and buffing they used a special vacuum to suck up dust, so the floors were really clean when I went to apply finish (I just had to use a tack cloth first). The only small issue was in the hallway that goes to our second bedroom, there appear to be sanding marks. This is a narrow hallway that is probably difficult to navigate a sander through. I noticed this before applying the finish and under normal circumstances would have asked OTF to fix it, but we were under time constraints (moving into the house while 7 months pregnant). I'm sure they would have fixed it for free, but I could not handle a delay, so I never mentioned it. Everything else is fantastic though and we get compliments from everyone who comes over. The floors also feel amazing under foot. There is a solidity that was not there with the carpet. I'll be using OTF for any future flooring work.

Recent Review: As Angie suggest, we contacted 3 different contractors for estimates. Of the 3, Deco Construction provided the most complete and detailed estimate. However, it was Fred's commitment to quality and willingness to stay within our budget that impressed us the most. The Deco crew was always professional, on time and cleaned up before leaving for the day. If we had any questions, Fred was never more that a phone call away. Fred was very personable and offered his assistance in helping us make better choices, based on his knowledge and experience. We have been cooking and living with our new kitchen for over 2 months, we are so pleased and happy with all the workmanship and products we selected! We highly recommend Deco Construction and would hire them again for any future home improvement projects.

They work quickly and efficiently and Guy was always available to meet-usually the same day I called. He is a great listener, problem solver AND very kind to boot. They put in new walls and ceilings, gave us a new kitchen, new en suite principal bedroom/bathroom, re-did all of our wood floors, painted the entire inside of the main house and guesthouse, refurbished our magnesite floor in the enclosed porch (which was a huge job) and replaced windows. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things. I would recommend this company highly.

Recent Review: Summary: I am a professional property manager. I have used Razmin and his guys @ LA Carpet Warehouse many times now. They provide an extremely high level of service at a very affordable price. I recommend them to friends and family. This is about the fifth time I have had work done by Razmin and his guys at LA Carpet Warehouse. In the past they have performed flooring work at almost all the properties I manage. They have also now completed work for friends and families at my recommendation. This time I had a bathroom with a subfloor that had been damaged by a leak from a cracked toilet. The subfloor was mostly intact but there were a few areas that needed reinforcement. I got in touch with Razmin and he had his guys on site the next day. As usual they were prompt, polite, fast and did great work. They made repairs to the subfloor and laid down new vinyl flooring. Everything was top notch and I was given a great price. Thanks guys!

Recent Review: Very well. This is a very professional operation. Two hours before the installation crew was due to arrive, the supplier delivered the materials. When the crew arrived (on time) they worked like Trojans over several days to install the flooring. They carefully moved furniture aside and then moved it back room-by-room. They removed all the old carpet and materials and cleaned up after completing each room. After pulling the carpet for one of the rooms, they discovered that the room's sub floor was warped. They replaced the warped sections of sub floor at a reasonable price. When the workmen pulled the sub floor to our second story bedroom leaving the floor joists exposed, one of the workman stepped through the joists and broke the ceiling to the floor below. Without any argument, they accepted responsibility and within three days repaired the damage. This is a very professional operation.

What do customers in Los Angeles say about Cork Flooring Installation?

Can't say enough good things. 100% satisfied!! Pieter was punctual & professional. He and his crews are 100% business. He was super flexible with his schedule to accommodate the inconsistencies of other crews I had. His follow-through is very professional. He came back to touch up places even after having been paid in full. He and his crews went above and beyond the original work. He actively sought out areas that he could provide services. He's the refreshing opposite of the typical shady, nickel-and-dime'ing contractor. He makes his money by working hard, smart and fair.
