Los Angeles Garage Door Insulation

Asked for them to come for estimate on 3/2/15; their worker arrived promptly & explained options/choices & costs. We wanted a new 2 car garage door (long panel), insulated, with a certain window configuration & we also wanted the door painted with our house paint. |We dropped off paint for them to use on 3/4/15. |They managed to get the door, paint the door our custom color & install the door on 3/6/15. Yep, that's 5 days start to finish! |We are/were extremely impressed with the quality of the company & the products that they install. We didn't know it, but when you choose an insulated door, they frame out the door (in our custom color) and make the area completely sealed from outside. Our door is AWESOME - looks great, installed perfectly & quickly (under 2.5 hours) and with the insulation its like having another room in the house unaffected by heat or cold. From the initial phone call to obtain the estimate to the completion of the job, the company was very prompt, honest, efficient and friendly. We obtained a bid from a highly advertised competitor and Dyers offered a better price. The competitor called back trying to meet the Dyer price and get our business, but because of the positive comments on Angie's list, the work went to Dyer's. I would use them again and recommend them to friends.

Were about 3 hours off on arrival time, but crew arrived and did the work professionally. Cleaned up after their installation and gave the garage door a quick tune up. Also made sure our remotes were programmed properly. Overall very pleased and would use them again. Too soon to know if the insulation will help in the heat of La Quinta... [Update - after two months of Summer heat I can say the money I spent insulating the door was very well spent! When a hot car is parked inside the insulation might work against us so we leave the door open a crack, but our garage door faces west and the insulation definitely keeps some of the Direct sun heat on the door surface out and every little bit matters when it's 110+ degrees out there!]

Their prices are very competitive, they're honest, they do not try to sell you anything you do not need, in fact to save me money Scott suggested that I could have my existing door insulated; however, we decided we wanted a new door with a new look. Scott arrived on time for the quote and we were called when Scott was delayed for a short time on the day of installation. Scott and his son took great care when installing the new garage door, making sure the door was spotless after installation. Also, Scott informed me that the manufacturer had packaged the wrong rollers for the door and that he would be replacing them within the week. I would have never noticed or known that if Scott had not told me. Very honest and trustworthy. Tisha in the office is very knowledgeable and helpful, she was patient with me and provided the information I needed to make panel and window selections. Recently I decided to replace my 3 sectional garage doors with insulated ones. A single car door, a double car door, and a 14' RV garage door. When the house was built the contractor used the cheapest Wayne-Dalton doors available. When the doors operated they vibrated and rattled despite how much lubrication I provided. I called four different garage door companies for estimates. All four companies responded and took measurements. One company never got back to me with an estimate. One company took a couple of weeks to provide an estimate. The other two companies were very professional, responsive and competitive in their pricing. In the end I went with Door Pros in Palm Desert. The reason I went with them was that one of my garage doors is unusual in that it is a one car garage door that moves straight up the wall instead of rolling up parallel with the floor. The door is on one side of an RV garage and the walls are 15' tall. Previously, the door was manually operated and I wanted to install an opener. Because the door moved straight up the wall this detail caused confusion with all the estimators except for Mark from Door Pros. He knew exactly how and what opener should be installed. Mark was professional and obviously very experienced regarding garage door installation. On install day, the installer Wayne arrived on time and got right to work. This guy knows what he is doing. He apparently has been doing this for 30 years and it shows! He did an outstanding job of installing the 3 doors over 2 days. He even installed a brace on the RV garage opener trolley that the original installers neglected to add. The new doors work great now and the insulation provided a significant difference not only for climate issues but sound insulation issues from street noise. I highly recommend Door Pros for any garage door work.

Brian was very nice and professional. He did not try to upsell me. He gave me options on the different packages and explained the differences. I decided to go with the best package because it was only a couple hundred more than the good package. The package was $1,450 which included an insulated door and top of the line garage door opener. I was so impressed with Brian I did not even get anymore estimates. His price seemed very good and I was happy. We set up the installation date and it went great. They came and installed the door in a few hours. I am very happy. The quality of their work was excellent. I would use them again.

Our wood garage doors were 30 years old and needing to be replaced. After getting estimates from three companies, we chose Pioneer because (1) they offered the best price on high-quality Amarr doors, and (2) they had excellent reviews on Angie's List. To be honest, at first we were a little hesitant because Ryan, who did the measuring & estimate, wasn't terribly helpful about explaining our options. He handed us a brochure but didn't show us door samples or give us any additional information to help us make our choices. If it hadn't been for the previous two estimates, we wouldn't have had a clue what we needed or wanted. Ryan was a nice guy, just not very helpful. (Hence the "B" for Professionalism) The office staff was great at communicating with us and keeping us in the loop regarding installation date and time. On the morning of the installation, Nathan called ahead of time to let us know he was on his way. We had one 2-car and one 1-car garage door installed. We opted for the steel-back 3000 Heritage series for the superior insulation. We also chose doors with decorative windows. We love having windows and the natural light they let in! The doors are beautiful and quiet and give our house an updated look. Nathan also installed a new belt-drive garage door opener on the 2-car side and reinstalled one of our old openers on the 1-car side. The new motor is so quiet--we love it! Nathan was a meticulous worker. He and his assistant were well-mannered, careful, and clean, and they left everything spotless when the job was finished. We couldn't be happier with the doors, the installers, and the office staff. We highly recommend Pioneer Door!

all went well. was a bit pricey, but i think you get what you pay for. eric was very professional, extremely responsive and was not pushy at all. the people who did the work were very fast and worked well. all in all, everything went very smoothly, which is rare in home remodel jobs. no headache at all, no chasing down, they came when they said they would and did the work that they said they would. overall, very happy with the result and experience.

The removal of old and installation of the new door went very smoothly. Dana came to give us the estimate; Eric and David did the work. We are very pleased with the result.

Went to the showroom in Anaheim. Salesman was attentive and helpful. Selected the door that we wanted, windows and opener. Deposit was approx. $250 with balance due on install. We stated that we needed a Saturday install due to my work schedule. It was a bit long before we got an install date due to the need for weekend install, but my calling in to check on it helped get that scheduled. On the install date they arrived on time. They did a nice job installing the door and opener. They setup all of the remotes, assisted in getting the car homelink working and cleaned up after themselves. The final product was excellent and the install was done very well. They are not selling the cheapest doors in town, but they carry what appears to be very good quality products. I think that their prices are fair compared to the competitions higher end products. It's now been a month since the install and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We had an excellent experience with Dyer's. I called over the weekend and left a message asking for an estimate. Jonathan came out on Monday and gave me prices for a 3-panel and standard 4-panel garage door. My wife later called with additional questions (pricing for insulated vs non-insulated, window vs solid top panel). The owners were able to give pricing over the phone for add-ons and deletions. They even followed up with calls asking us if we needed any additional information. On the day of the job, Jonathan arrived on time and worked non-stop. Our 3-panel door was installed within the promised amount of time. We had 4 companies bid our job. None were as responsive as Dyer's and none followed up with calls. We chose this company based on their outstanding customer service. We also feel like we got a good price. We would definitely recommend Dyer's.

Arne did an excellent job - he was extremely responsive, professional, and very down to earth. There was no effort on his part to make a sale - he simply provided all of the information, took a look at the garage, gave me an estimate, much less than the other estimates , and he finished the job within a week. Great experience!

I've used this company before, and have always found Frank and his team to be honest, responsive, and professional. This latest job involved the installation of a new, deluxe, steel-clad, insulated garage door. Job was scheduled for 9 a.m., and installer arrived only five minutes late. Very friendly and informative. He went right to work, and was joined later by a second person. The whole job was done in less than four hours.
