Los Angeles Emergency Roofing

While they were re-roofing they left some heavy equipment on top of the roof. That doesn't seem safe. During the night there was a wind storm which caused several heavy pieces to fall. I even called their 24 hour emergency service line, but no one ever came. The first time it rained, the roof leaked. They came back and replaced one of the air vents and that seemed to stop the leaking; however there was damage done. I asked them to come back and touch up the paint where the leak had caused the damage. Instead of rolling it over with white primer, they just came and spray painted the ceiling. It looks like someone tagged our ceiling. The roof has not leaked since then, but I was disappointed with that response.

Just so happened that George was in the neighborhood doing a job, so he came by within an hour or so. George was very professional, knowledgeable, thorough and offered reasonable information. After a brief discussion of what needed to be done, I pushed to do the job asap - we are expecting rain in a day or two (even possibly that night). He made a quick call, rescheduled a prior commitment and offered to take care of the job right there and then. He then went and bought some supplies, was soon back and patched not only the concerning area, but sealed all cracks and seals around venting, skylights and drains, and even painted some rusty vent covers (all work that George recommended, but I could see needed to be done). His work was excellent, he was very thorough and at no time did I feel George was not being entirely honest with me or was not offering good information. He did mention that, as owner of the company, he is most often the person dealing with quotes and initial inspections, etc - and that his crew usually takes care of the work to follow. But, he could see that we needed help now and I certainly appreciate that was willing to jump in there and help us at such a high level.

They did a great job! Did it in less than 24 hours. They came out while the rain was still coming down to look at a leak!! They were able to repair that no problem!! They never stopped working or take any breaks except to lunch during the re-roof. An excellent experience!

Very professional, efficient, easy to deal with. Following the completion of the work, there were two subsequent roof leaks which were attended to and repaired immediately, within 24 hours. No hassle. No arguments. Work was done on time and on schedule. I do recommend them.

The emergency repair required two attempts as the first one did not work. The difficult part is that it is talking a LONG time for them to schedule the permanent repair. Still waiting.

JW roofing did a very quick and efficient job of the repair we had. They were prompt and very responsive to any and all questions I had about this repair and future roof replacement. They were able to get my request for quote and repair completed within 24 hours after I called for the appointment!

Ron estimated the job would take 3 days. Actual job took 2.5 days. Entire job was completed with Los Angeles city permits. Halo handled all permit paperwork w/out issues. We report one minor leak on one rain gutter joint. Halo fixed leak within 24 hours. Absolutely no issues with roof. We love our new roof. Would gladly recommend Halo Roofing.

Dave called us within 5 minutes of my request on Angie's List and was out to the house within 90 minutes. He assessed the roof, identified the problem and was working on it within 3 hours of my initial email on Angie's List. He was patient while we worked with the home warranty company. As of 24 hours later, our roof is repaired and he's now working on our neighbors roof. We are very happy with Dove & Dave!

My elderly parents' roof began leaking during very heavy rains. The leak started on a Sunday. I called four or five roofers from Angie's List and JN Davis was the only company to even call me back. They were understandably swamped with work since so many people were having problems in the storms. But they were willing to send a man over the next day. They also gave me some tips on things we could do ourselves to alleviate the problem. In the end, my husband went up on the roof and cleared leaves away from a drain, which was causing the problem. That stopped the leak, so we called them back to cancel. However, the roof still needs to be redone and I will definitely call them back to get a price quote. I appreciated their responsiveness in the emergency situation.

I called them about a roof leak. They asked me to text them with my contact info. Lonnie texted me saying he could come that afternoon. He arrived on time and looked at the leak and offered to fix it on the spot! He did fix it and told me to give him feedback if it worked or not. He was polite and professional. He offered to show me what he had done. I had another roofing company come to give an estimate as well but they had a 1-2 week wait to actually do the repair. I really appreciated the immediate repair especially as we are expecting flash flood warning level rain in the next 24 hours!

They came out on the weekend and didn't charge extra. It went great. They did a terrific job. I highly recommend them.

I called a few roofers to get estimates and surprisingly, very few called me back. Mike called me back within 24 hours and we set up an appointment for an estimate a few days later. Mike had a job that was running long so he called me to let me know. We rescheduled and he showed up right on time. He asked a lot of questions and explained the solution he recommended completely. He wrote up an estimate and I called him a day or two later to schedule the repair. Because of the rain, it had to wait a few days. The repair required 2 visits to apply the coating. Both times his crew was on time and professional. The work was completed on time and well. It hasn't rained yet, but if it still leaks, I would call Mike back again. Mike even repaired a shingle at no additional cost to me.

THIS WAS AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. HE PRESIDENT OF COMPANY RESPONDED VERY QUICKLY. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE. THE WORK WAS PERFORMED IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. POWEVER, I BELEIVE THE PRICE WAS TOO HIGH.

Offered to come the next day in the weekend because he was close. Honest, didn't try to oversell. Great price compared to previous roofers I have had. Said he would be here within a couple of weeks to do the work and call ahead. Called the day before and showed up on time as stated. Very nice and professional. Will use again and refer to friends.

Mr. Robertson answered his business phone on a Sunday. He came out on Monday; found the leak, quoted the price to fix it at $75, and returned on Tuesday with his son Jim, Jr. They patched the roof where nails and flashing had come loose, then sealed the area with mastic. Also, they noticed areas of potential leaks around some chimney flashing, and around an old electrical vent pipe. They put mastic there, too. No charge. He said to call him in the Spring so he can repair the area around the chimney. Today, a couple of weeks later, it's raining like crazy, and there is no leaking. I'll be calling him back this Spring.
