Recent Review: So Cal Builders, replaced our roof, damaged drywall in our living and resurfaced our cabinets. They install a new sink and faucet, backsplash and quartz countertops. Our outdated 30 year old kitchen was transformed into a modern and gorgeous kitchen. The drywall in our living was replaced. Our living room was painted and looks better than it did before. We are pleased to have a much needed new roof. Everyone who worked in our home wore a mask and practiced social distancing. We highly recommend So Cal Builders to our friends and family.

Recent Review: We recently moved and wanted to do some renovations to our new home to help update the interior and exterior. Being new to the area we researched contractors online and after several no shows we were pleased at the quick feedback we had from Supreme. After walking thru the work that needed completed - new flooring, fireplace removal, wall removal to create open floor plan, update lighting, and patio extension to name a few - they quickly turned around a quote for us. Unfortunately what they quoted was out of our price range. We had a second visit with Guy and he was able to fine tune the pricing and we agreed to a SOW that met our budget. With a 6 month old and a new house we were anxious to get started (and finished!) and Guy and his team were able to move quickly. The major demo work was completed in 2 weeks as estimated and we were well underway. The crew did a good job cleaning up each day and seemed to take pride in their work. The main criticism I have is that Guy was only onsite once a week. We were living thru most of the construction so we were able to keep close tabs on what was going on. Guy was quick to respond and resolve issues as we would point them out which we are thankful but not sure if they would have been fixed had we not brought them to his attention. I will comment though that my husband and I are both engineers so we probably look at things in more detail than most. Overall we were very pleased with the work performed, price, and timeline. As I mentioned we ran into a few issues along the way which is why I only gave 4 stars but I will commend the Supreme team that they always worked towards a resolution we could be happy with (I would have just preferred a closer eye be kept on the work so there were no issues to correct). We would definitely consider using Supreme (and Guy) again if we needed any future work done to the house.

Recent Review: I received several estimates. Some from Angeies list and some from recommendations. Jose's painting came from a recommendation. I down selected 2 vendors and negotiated the prices. Jose was very professional through out my process. Ultimately I choose Jose because I felt he provided the best value for the money. Note that I was not going for the lowest price but I wanted the best work at the best price. I also felt that I could trust Jose with the work. Jose and his 2 workers took about a week to do the work (as he estimated). There were no issues with Jose or any of his workers during the process. Nothing was damaged. Jose gave me a status update everyday. I had a chance to observe the work one morning and it reconfirmed my belief that Jose had the right skills and experience to do the job. Jose had already sanded my door and prepped it with primer. I noticed that he used a different brush and strokes for the recessed part of the door. He took his time doing this and it came out great, it was a really old crappy door (I will include a picture if I can) and now it looks like new. There were a lot of small touches he did. Any good painter will pay attention to this level of detail, but it is very hard to find a good painter. Everything came out as expected and I feel I got my money's worth. I would definitely use Jose again but I don't think I will have to for many years.

Recent Review: I called up The Electric Connection and spoke with Nick. He was very professional and courteous and was able to make recommendations and estimates over the phone. When the crew came out, they did a fantastic job and worked very fast. This job originally started with the installation of a new ceiling fan. In order to properly mount the unit they had to install a new mount between 2 ceiling studs as none existed before. Next they re-installed the original wiring as it was installed in an unsafe way by the previous owner. That same day I decided at the last minute that I wanted recessed lighting installed since all the wiring was exposed. They were able to accommodate my request quickly. The next day they laid new wire and switch and connected all the lights. My living room looks fantastic! I would use them again and recommend them to others.

Recent Review: Lou and his team were very professorial from start to finish. Lou provided a detailed quote and worked with us to match our budgetary requirements. He conducted the bid/ estimate process in a professional and approachable manner. As we got going, he offered great advice regarding selection of fixtures and provided good suggestions for tile, vanity top, etc. Lou also has a good eye for color and overall design. The quality of the workmanship seems very high. His team prepped and watersealed the new tub with great care and did the best dry walling I've ever seen. The tile work was a calculated, precision process that feels very solid, level, and water resistant. The vanity was outsourced to a carpenter and it looks great. Lou worked hard to find us an amazing stone remnant for the vanity top that matched our floor tile selection. The overall finished product is a beautiful new bathroom with solid workmanship under the hood. One issue is just how busy Lou is. Call it a byproduct of his good work and reputation; he's very much in demand and occasionally our communication wasn't perfect, but everything worked out great. Lou is quick to return calls and we learned that he had everything under control. Upon review of paperwork, Lou keeps very detailed records and runs a trustworthy, respectable crew. They treated my family and dogs with respect and we felt comfortable with his team working in our home. We would be happy to hire Lou's team again.

Recent Review: We hired Ron at Halo Roofing for a large remodeling project. The remodeling project that he did for us was to replace the entire roof at our house and then to remodel completely the kitchen and master bathroom. Ron worked on the 3 sections of the house at the same time with several team of people that each one was a professional one at his trades. The old roof was an old one and once the old roof was removed, the roofing team started to install the new one under the supervision of Ron. Inside the house, we had another team of people that worked on the kitchen and master bathroom. At the end of the kitchen demolition, Ron noticed a large mold behind the sink cabinets. Ron was able to immediately inspect it and he provided us with an advice on what to do. As soon as that problem was solved, the rest of the remodeling project went very smoothly and without any issues. The remodeling was finished pretty fast due to the fact that all the people that worked at our house, worked on a daily basis and Ron visited the house each day and made sure that everything is going according to the plan. Halo Roofing did remarkable remodeling job on the roof, kitchen and master bathroom. More than that, he helped us to get the great deals for all the appliances and finishing hardware for our house.

Recent Review: I am overall very happy with the experience. I worked with Brian Chavez, the stepson of the owner, who is courteous, professional, likeable, knowledgeable and very helpful when it comes to turning a vague idea into a concrete plan. And it's not just electrical things he's good with, he even correctly identified which shade of paint would match the ceiling just by looking. The install crew who actually did the work were also good, they maintained constant communication to make sure all was right, and when they finished, the texturing in the repaired areas of drywall were a perfect match for the original areas. The only area of deficiency which I can think of is not with Wilson Electric but with the lights they use for the LED recessed lighting. Some of the units will seem to work normally when turned on, but after some minutes that begin to randomly go dim for a moment before returning to normal brightness, and they do this every 20-30 seconds or so. We confirmed that it's not the circuitry by moving the lights to other sockets and finding that the lights that did this kept on doing it no matter where they were plugged in, whereas the ones that didn't have this problem continued not having any problem no matter where they were plugged in. We even caught it on video just to confirm. When told about this, Brian quickly dropped off three replacement units for our two problem lights, which is good because one of the replacements had the same problem. So you might want to go to Lowe's or Home Depot to supply your own lights, but other than that, the work was impeccable. In total, this is what was installed: - 3 recessed lights in the bathroom - 5 recessed lights in the kitchen (one over the sink with its own switch and the other four on another switch) - New outlet in the kitchen - Replacement of regular outlet with GFCI in the bathroom - Also they removed an old disused vent and patched up the drywall and baseboard

Recent Review: The work was done in a two bedroom townhome. They arrived at 7:15am on a Monday and immediately got to work covering everything in ample amounts of plastic. A total of 10 guys were there and by 9:30am, all the ceilings had been scraped. When they wrapped up that first day at 5:30pm, ceilings were scraped and textured, Quiet Rock was installed and textured and most (maybe all) of the housings for the lights were in place. I had to OK the placement of the lights in the upstairs office and it was like another world in there with all the plastic and mess. These poor guys were working in the equivalent of a greenhouse since the plastic was essentially encasing everything, preventing any kind of ventilation. Fortunately the weather was mild that day but I can't imagine what it would be like on a hot day. They were extremely fastidious with the cleanup! I could hear someone vacuuming the bedrooms and when I came inside, someone was even wiping down my kitchen counters! I saw what a mess things were that first day and you would never know it if you saw the place that evening. The entire project was complete by 3:30pm on a Wednesday! I am very happy with the results and the crew that did the work.

Recent Review: MAfter the gas company told us that the house had gas leaks and to call a plumber to find and repair them, we immediately called Patriot Plumbing who had worked on a major pipe job a few months ago. Fred found gas leaks in a few places inside the walls. He had to tear out the walls to get to the pipes. Fred also fixed connections that were improperly done by the contractor who worked on the house. He also saw that the old hot water heater needed to be replaced, explaining why and providing proof before getting my approval before undertaking this additional task. All in all, while a bit costly but necessary, Fred and his workers did an exceptional job at repairing the pipes where the gas leaks came from and removing and installing the hot water heater. My mother home is much safer now.

Recent Review: Overall the contractors were extremely professional, responsive and agreeable to minor changes to the original contract without increasing cost. Loved working with Vic and Isaac! When problems occurred, they were exceptionally responsive and made necessary corrections/changes, such as staining of banister and correcting installation of doors. Extremely impressed with installation of baseboards and attention to detail (even installed baseboards inside closets), hardwood floors and recessed lighting. Interior painting was decent but needs to ensure they cover all areas prior to painting areas. Otherwise, I would hire them again.
