It went well. I talked to 10 contractors and they came out with the best price out of all. It's beautiful! Shami was great he worked all the way through and he even accepted my calls during Christmas! I was very pleased with all of the workers and it only took like two weeks to build.

They did an excellent job. They did some backyard remodeling, demolished a patio cover and sunroom and started on the service porch. They were really conscientious and they ran into a few surprises, which were typical remodeling and they were very conscientious about letting us know. We worked out change orders and got everything resolved in a timely manner.

Lynn and his crew (Pablo & Ricardo) were such a pleasure to work with. From beginning to end, they were professionals. Lynn was almost always available when you called (granted I had his cell number) and if not, he usually called back the same day. There was a miscommunication about the door we ordered, and a mix up with the windows, but it was brought to our attention immediately and resolved quickly as well. Lynn came to our home several times (mind you, he's driving from North Hills and we're on opposite side of town in Pomona) and we went over the contract, the details, and for the walk through with his concrete crew. One time he even stayed as late as 9pm to accommodate my husband's work schedule and to go over all the final details. The same professionalism was carried out by his crew, lead by Pablo and Ricardo. Pablo was in charge of the sunroom structure and Ricardo was in charge of concrete and electrical. They were one of the best construction crews we have ever worked with; efficient, diligent, and communicative. They weren't afraid to answer our questions and when something went wrong, instead of hiding it from us, they were very upfront about it and assured us it would be fixed right away. When the factory provided different windows, Pablo pointed it out to us and asked which ones we wanted to go with and that he was going back to pick up uniform ones. We couldn't have known unless Pablo told us or until we saw them later on. When we had to put the sunroom's electrical on a different circuit breaker on our panel (about 40 ft away) and metal tubing had to be used because it was run externally, without us asking at all but because they knew we were aesthetically concerned about the silver tubing looking out of place, Ricardo had his crew paint the tube to match our house. The previous owner painted the house and never left any paint so we had no idea what color it was, but Ricardo's crew went and matched it! They did all of this without us asking and didn't charge a single penny for this additional work. They even left the remaining paint for us so we could touch up other areas or just have paint color reference for the future. There were a number of other little things they did that restored our faith in contractors (e.g. helping my 3 yo daughter put handprint in wet concrete, removing a very small section of bricks and pouring concrete over it, coming back to diagnose a leak in sunroom that we weren't able to duplicate to this day, etc). Lynn and his crew were exactly as how other reviewers described, the traditional contractor that honors his word and delivers as promised. We were hesitant in the beginning because Lynn's price was so competitive (more than $10k below other sunroom contractors we talked to), but we are so glad we did. To sum it up, if these people are not your ideal contractor and crew, then don't bother calling these guys and wasting their time!

Patios By B&B Inc
5.0
I found Patios by B&B through a Google sunroom photo search. One of their designs stood out so I clicked on it to get more information. I went to their website and saw many more great designs. I then did a Google search on the company through a several search engines and found just about every review had 5 stars. I contacted them to have them come out and get a quote. Jeff, the owner of the company, responded quickly and set up an appointment right away. I was very impressed by the customer service from the get go. When he came out he was very thorough in talking to be about all the details and was very interested on giving me exactly what I wanted in a design. Then I went to their showroom to see the quality of the work and materials that were going to be used. I was again very impressed. The manufacturer supervisor at the showroom showed me around while I waited for Jeff and he said that out of all his other clients that Patios by B&B were on the top of their list. I normally get 3 estimates before I go with a service or company but I felt so comfortable with what I had seen and heard I decided to go with them and not waist my time on searching further. After the project was signed and ready to be started I changed my mind midway through on the design and Jeff was very understanding and said it wouldn't be a problem. Then the construction started and it took less than 2 weeks. I was amazed at how fast if came up and how professional it looked. It totally transformed the living space in my house. I added an entire room that would have easily cost twice as much if I would have had to tear down walls and extent the house. There was supposed to be 2 posts at the end of the extended roof from the sunroom but the project manager suggested I go without them so they wouldn't obstruct the view and be in the way. I was so happy he suggested that because it made such a difference in the way it looked and as he said, they would have been in the way otherwise. The workers were very efficient and asked for my opinion along the way as to where I wanted light sockets, fixtures, and door locks. I couldn't be more happier with the end results. I would recommend Patios by B&B very highly and would call them again for my next project.

The manufacturer is C-Thru Sunrooms. The product is a 4-inch thick aluminum and vinyl solid roof 13' x 20' sunroom with an 8 ft. slider and a regular entry door. There is no HVAC but it does have full electrical. There are six windows plus transoms at the top and about 20 in. of wall beneath. I'm especially impressed with the dual pane windows, which open from either side and have screens which are easily removed for cleaning. There are several options for the windows as well as the finish for the walls. I chose almond color which integrates well with my house. I was able to visit the manufacturer in Corona, CA to see the different options, and I would highly recommend doing that if you can. The 4-inch thick room (as opposed to the 2-inch) has vinyl trim that covers most of the fasteners for a nice finished look. A real negative I could mention is that this trim does not exactly mold well around the bumps in the structure, and leaves gaps and wrinkles that are noticeable. It should be re-designed. Another serious annoyance is that the design does not allow for window coverings. There is only a tiny space available for drilling, and an unaware consumer could easily damage the structure. Therefore I am having the company come back to install window coverings (at an additional cost). The jury is still out on the insulating properties of the 4-inch walls. It's winter and the room is cold, but B&B said this would improve once the floor is tiled (floor is the existing concrete slab). The real test will come next summer because the sun heats up the rear of the house like a furnace. Jeff Goldman was very thorough with his proposals. We went through several versions before I made the final choices, and each time he emailed me detailed drawings and pricing. The prep work involved removing two large masonry planters attached to the house, pouring several concrete patches, moving the water faucet, and building a concrete lip on which the room sits. All this was done flawlessly. A crew of 2-3 built and finished the room itself, and the company had an excellent painter re-texture and paint the stucco of the house which became the interior of the room. The entire build took a month longer than projected. There were a few unexplained delays and I would have appreciated more communication from the company. However, once the structure was up, it was fully usable and the delay with the finish work was a minor issue. The company did a thorough job with the small issues that cropped up such as replacing a couple of the aforementioned trim pieces. All in all, I am happy with the way the room turned out and I'm very pleased with the job done by B&B. I would not hesitate to use them again, and would recommend them.

Four Seasons was hired to remove and replace a sunroom. The sales person sold many bells and whistles which were presented in the contract. When the room was installed many of the amenities that were agreed upon we're not installed and the quality of the workmanship left the room with numerous leaks which the company patched to a subpar standard. We contacted the CEO of the company and he promised us the issues would be resolved. That never happened. We had to hire another contractor to fix the damage they created.

Recent Review: We needed to add a pitched roof to our atrium and convert it into a sunroom with two solar-powered skylights. Frankly, before we found Yaniv, we almost gave up on the project as two other contractors came either with an insanely pricy estimate or commit to it but disappeared all of a sudden. I was quite lucky to find Yaniv who did the project for me on time and within my budget. He gave me a good estimate the same day, followed up with me the second day for details and started working the day after. Yaniv was very patient, and accommodative to all the details that I wanted and even a couple of changes/extras I asked after the project had started, and never intended to raise price. All his workers (framers, roofers, installers) are friendly, professional and very detail oriented. It has been 8am-6pm working non-stop for three days. Work was beautifully done, even better than what I had imagined. We have done lots of home improvement projects in the last few years. I’d say Yaniv a top notch contractor with integrity, good communication skills, and work ethics. Highly recommend, if you have a project and need a honest contractor that helps you execute it on time and on budget! Thank you, Yaniv!

Recent Review: Oren and his crew were hired based on their reputation. we were looking for someone to do some work in our back yard and build a state of the art gazebo with a fire pit, which will be the natural part of our home. I must say Oren's bid was definitely not the lowest we got, but based on the reviews, our meeting, the feeling he gave us when he walked in our home it was an easy decision to make and no doubt in our minds it was the right one. Throughout the whole process we were informed on the stages, no surprises, the guys were always polite and cleaned up before they left, Oren was available and answered every question we had along the way. The end result is amazing, exactly what we have hoped for a beautiful gazebo, with a fire pit stamp cement where we can sit with our friends and enjoy. Since this project went so smooth and we were so happy with the result, we already started our second project with SOD Builders & Oren, Building a guest house in our back yard........ I will update on this project when it will come to an end ( plans are looking great:)

Recent Review: We had asked eight different general contractors to submit estimates/bids for our full house interior remodeling project. All contractors were selected from Angie's list or/and yelp, all with excellent reviews and ratings. Being full time working parents of two young kids, and having a very little experience with house remodeling, ultimately we were looking for a contractor/crew the we could trust to execute on time and close to a proposed budget (and without "sweeping anything under a rug"). The estimate from Stone Age Designs was the most detailed and the easiest to understand. It was also the least ambiguous of all eight estimates that we've received (the labor costs were separated from the materials allocations and the estimated prices of materials were clearly identified). Moreover, Lou Philippe and his crew of Stone Age Designs invested by far the most time in measuring our house, and discussing what exactly we would like to do prior to submitting their bid. We ended up selecting Lou Philippe and Stone Age Designs for our project, and now, almost two month after the end of the project, we could not be happier with their work. The project took three month two complete (very closed to the originally plan). The entire process went very smoothly. No surprises! Throughout the project we had been in constant communication with Lou via email and text. He was extremely responsive: quick email replies any time of the day or night, very detailed invoicing, and always willing to spend time to answer questions. We had regular meetings (typically once a week) at the house, to discuss and inspect the progress, as well as to plan for the next week. Throughout the project, Lou was a tremendous help with selecting materials (tiles, hardwood, paint, accessories, etc). Based on our selections, he did most of the purchasing and hauling himself. In addition, Lou took care of all the permitting, inspections and other city related headaches (with absolutely no delays to our great satisfaction). Moreover, Lou helped us a lot with elements of interior design (I probably should not say "he helped us" but rather write he "did" the design). We had shown him several inspiration shots of what final look of the house we desire. Based on our inspiration photographs, Lou prepared three different layouts, complete with 3D renderings. Similarly for master and kids bathrooms, he offered us at least 8 different layouts. Once we finalized the layouts, the crew quickly went to work. Often, they had to work around the material availability, as we managed to select few of the tile and plumbing products that required an extended shipping time. Both, kitchen and bathrooms were build very quickly (that is including custom cabinets and vanities). The crew was at the house six days a week (and sometimes seven), often working 10 hour days and then more. Both Lou and the crew members did show extreme attention to details. For example, after the interior of the house was painted they didn't just move on, but instead went around the house and carefully inspected and marked all (even the littlest) of the defects that required re-work. Similar inspection was done at the very end of the project. The payment schedule was NOT front loaded by any means, and seemed quite reasonable. Towards the end of the project they surprised us by performing few upgrades that we didn't ask for completely free of charge (e.g. install new doors for a hallway closet doors, extra smooth painting, some additional electrical work in the garage) The crew was very respectful and a pleasure to deal with (for example, whenever we were walking around the house, inspecting the progress, they would always pause and offer explanations of what there were busy with at the moment). At the day of the project completion, we found the house to be sparkling clean and ready for moving in (the windows and mirrors were wiped, the floors vacuumed, they even power washed the back yard and our drive way). The stone age designs also came back few weeks after we moved in to do a quick inspection, and replaced a faulty faucet. We are very happy with the quality of the work and overall experience. Thank you very much, Stone Age Designs!
