Our balcony had water damage but have not been able to find anyone who could fix it. We talked to several roofing companies who told us to contact a roofing company that could repair decking. This company was the first company that said they could repair it. They called it a "Walking Deck Repair." To keep a long story short, the job was finished correctly. My peeves about it were dealing with the office and scheduling. I was told it would be 3-4 visits for the project. They completed it in 4 visits (the first was all day, the 2nd and 3rd were about 2-3 hours, and the 4th visit was them just coming to remove tape and make sure it dried nicely). I only had notification of them coming for 1 of 4 visits and I only knew because I happened to call the day before to ask when they were coming. From the first visit to the final visit, I think it took 3 weeks. I was a bit frustrated with the scheduling process but the actual guys performing the work did a nice job and they were very polite. Since they are the only company I could find in Vegas to repair a balcony, I would recommend them for balcony repair, but would be sure to tell people to be patient with the scheduling.

PRODECK
The Pro Deck crew had punctually arrived and covered the pool with plastic. They proceeded to grind down the old texture, power wash, skim coat, spray texture and add two coats of color seal. This process took two days,one day ahead of schedule. A few days after the deck was cured and ready to reposition the patio furniture, I noticed a 4 inch "slash" that was not covered with the texture. I contacted Pro Deck phone representative Nadine, who very satisfactory, made the arrangements for "Joe" to correct the problem. We were very satisfied with our new pool decking. We were especially impressed with the clean-up detail.

Curt's Home Repair
I hired Curt to build a deck behind my townhouse. Everything went exactly as it should. He was on time for each appointment, communicated well with me about my plans for the space, understood my preferences, and completed the work in a timely and altogether professional way. He didn't do any more than he needed to do, nor did he try to go beyond our agreement. He actually improved my plan; I hadn't thought about a better way to deal with one edge of the deck, and his suggestion was far superior to what I thought we'd have to do. Curt is very good at explaining what he's doing and why. He's friendly and always easy to deal with. He cleans up after he's done. The deck looks better than I expected. I'd looked for someone to do this deck for some time. Most folks want to do pavers, but in my case, with a mostly covered space and issues with a drain, a deck was really a much better solution. I found Curt for a different job (hanging a ceiling fan), and in conversation learned that he did this sort of carpentry. I'm glad I did. Couldn't be happier with my new deck.

WESTDECK CONCRETE COATING
Our pool's coolcrete deck had deteriorated and looked awful. we searched on Angie's List for a reliable company and after meeting with the folks at Westdeck, 15 W Brooks Ave., North Las Vegas, NV 89030 we decided to have them do the work. The work was scheduled to begin in October, but we had an underground leak, and I wanted to make sure that the decking work wouldn't have to be torn up after it had been rebuilt, if the leak was under the deck. Sue, from Westdeck was very gracious about rescheduling. then, after we dealt with the underground leak, my pool filter had to be completely replaced-I again had to reschedule Westdeck. Ugh. Sue was very accommodating-AGAIN. Then, we had about 5 days of freezing temps and we have to put the decking off for a fourth time. . today I am happy to report that my new coolcrete deck is installed and Westdeck is GREAT. It is beautiful! the company is great and the crews they sent here were very professional. Without us having to ask, each day, they cleaned up my yard to the point they made it look as if they hadn't been there working all day. No mess. I highly reccommend Westdek.

Restoration Specialists did a good job of grinding out the bad spots on our pool deck. They made sure they sanded everything so it was even. They did the job in a timely manner and were efficient. Just had my pool deck re-coated. The finish product is and looks fantastic and only took three days to complete. The old product was completely ground off to the bare concrete, acid etched, pressure washed, product applied and painted. It should be noted that they used quality material and most importantly, the crew took such care in their work as if they were actually doing the work on their own pool. WESTDECK CONCRETE COATING
West Deck seemed very nice. In terms of their recommended corrective action, it included some things that did not make sense which is why I did not award the job to them. They included an extra coating over a vapor seal that no other company included and is a coating that is not meant for pool decks so they were just trying to get more money out of me.

Recent Review: Paint and cement spilled on deck below, staining cool deck in multiple large places. When I inquired about fixing, I spoke to Nancy, with whom I had to follow up several times before getting anything scheduled. When one of the supervisors came out, he reviewed the work done, stated the person who had done it, "was no longer with the company" and "he would never allow it to be repaired that way," which is another way of stating the repairs were not done properly, confirmed by the distinct line in the deck where the repair had been done, although the who thing was to be resurfaced to match. Further, when I inquired about getting the stains covered below, the only resolution was for us to pay to have the rest of the deck painted, since they could not match the existing paint. Joke!! Now, Nancy won't even return my calls!

They did a good job on everything except matching the color of our current deck with the new deck. We told them the color that had been used just three years ago and were told they did not have the same color. They then sent over a color chart to match. We thought we had matched it pretty close, however the new deck is much darker than the older deck. We had been told they would try to match it as close as possible.
