Recent Review: This is the second year I used them. Used the $53 coupon from Angie's List. Since I had to go to work, it was set up to call me a half hour before the repair man arrived so I could get back home for him. David arrived on time and had the problem diagnosed and fixed in 10 minutes. I signed up for their tune-up (forgot what it's called) where they check and clean everything now and again before winter. He found the coils inside the house were very dirty and cleaned them. Excellent service!

Recent Review: I initially spoke with the very helpful and friendly receptionist Shannon who referred me to the boss, Todd, who I found to be unusually straightforward and honest. I described the problem and expressed my feelings as an engineer that I should probably replace the whole 10 year old system. He said he didn't think that was necessary and after I provided him with the model and serial number of the unit he looked up the price of all the parts that might need to be replaced and called me back with the worst case cost of the repair and the assurance that if all the parts weren't needed or if the repair went faster than expected the cost would be less. The next day his brother Robert arrived at the appointed time and very competantly did the repair. He took great care to do a good job and it ended up costing less than the worst case phone estimate. It was very nice to deal with people who don't use scare tactics and try to take advantage and overcharge or sell something I didn't need even though I had anticipated needing to buy a whole new system.

Recent Review: Luis is a very honest and professional business man. He came out on time, fixed the drain pipe in the crawl space, which wasn't part of the deal. He checked my AC units and said they were functioning properly and did not need attention until summer of 2014 instead of charging me extra for something that did not need repair. Thanks Luis! Recent Review: Heat went out a few days before the end of the year. I'm a home inspector so took a crack at figuring out what was wrong and discovered that the heat exchanger had failed. I called Lin Air and owner Brent called me back. I described what I was seeing and he agreed with the diagnosis. Given the age of the unit and the cost of replacing a heat exchanger, we both agreed replacing whole unit was the best option. He gave me a few different unit options and prices. I called back the next day and agreed to go forward with a new unit. On new years eve, they actually came earlier than promised with the new unit. By 12:30 the work was all done. The overall service was exceptional. They installed a new drain line and stand for mounting the unit. Brent told me that the ductwork sheet metal was done somewhat incorrectly with the old unit and corrected that along with the gas line that too close to the unit. This is a family owned business and the service I got reflected the personalized nature of doing business with someone who values their clients. I would recommend Lin Air to anyone who needs an HVAC contractor.

Recent Review: One of our compressors stopped working. We did not know who to call. Checked Angieslist and found Harley of Servco. He came to our home the very next morning and fixed it and checked the other compressor also. It's great to have A/C on again! And his bill was reasonable.

Recent Review: For me, it's always difficult to know with any confidence if a mechanical service provided was honest. Having said that, I felt very happy with the service I received from Sun Country. Although I had called for just an annual A/C check up, we ended up talking about an issue - A/C water flowing out of our secondary drainage - for which numerous previous A/C service pros were unable to resolve. Sun Country's service pro knew exactly what was needed to fix the problem (re-pipe some drainage pipe near the heat exchange unit in the attic). Now, the problem - rusty water running down the wall of my house - that I've lived with for 6 years is now gone! While the initial A/C checkup cost wasn't the lowest available, I feel very comfortable that the overall charge was reasonable and I wasn't gouged. The extra charge for fixing the drainage problem, which took about an additional half an hour, was negligible. I would most definitely use them again.

Recent Review: This was likely the most thorough inspection of my now 22-year-old furnace that I recall having experienced. The technician, Jobab, called me with 30-40 minutes advance notice on the day of service to let me know that he was coming. Jobab was not at all rushed and spent about one hour at my residence systematically going through everything on my semi-ancient furnace. He's also a pleasant person, easy to talk to. An unexpected problem with the furnace suddenly not functioning after having worked fine initially also was resolved satisfactorily. Since the time is inevitably coming to purchase some new HVAC equipment, I did get an estimate from Alaskan Air for doing so and will seriously be considering this company when the work needs to be done.

Recent Review: I have used them for the last 3 years (18 months since they have changed to Greenstar). They do regular maintenance checks. Twice a year. Fall and spring. In spring 2013 I had to replace an air conditioner fan and the capacitor, and that was $850. Fast forward to the fall, Lynn W, came out to do the most recent inspection. He put down that the coil from the heater was leaking on the heater from the inside. Heater shows signs of separation on #1 chamber. A safety concern. The unit is 20 years old. He installed a new train and heating and cooling system for $6230. They gave me a 1000 credit from the work they did in the spring. So I have a warranty of 10-20 years for various functional parts. Such as outdoor coil, compressor, heat exchanger, and indoor coil. They also gave me at no charge 3 glass floss filters. Now the 2 guys that did the work, Robert and Tristen, were very attentive to detail and doing what they were supposed to do. Now Lynn said he was going to come back and inspect the system. I called the office 2-3 times to set up the appointment, but Lynn never returned my calls. (I happened to be making pancakes for my grandson that day, I asked if like some, and he said yes). I called Greenstar and spoke with the operations manager (Ryan Wohlers) to complain, and he said that he would come out. He came out at the end of his work day, and inspected the systems. He said that there was actually more work to be done. Pointed out that the connector hoses that were on the ground. He sent out Robert and Justin to make the fix, and once they fixed it the manager Ryan came out to check their work. They also checked out both the heating and A/C after the work was completed. Ran each for about 10-15 minutes. He asked if I was satisfied with the work, and if I wasn't offered to send them back out. Now an interesting thing happened...He said that he was going to mail me an inspection that was done by the city, which has never been done by other companies before. His office set up the inspection with Griselda Arias, and she is in charge of customer service. So the city of Las Vegas building safety came out to check everything, and gave me a permit. Said that they did an excellent job, and I was good to go. Other than Lynn, I was very satisfied with the work, and it has been working since.
