We contacted this company because we had an issue with low airflow to the rear bedroom. They sent a serviceman out, who MISDIAGNOSED the cause of the problem. Three service visits later which included two other companies and the problem was resolved. Also Action’s man did a lousy job of cleaning up behind his work. The issue could have been corrected on the first visit. Our cost would have been between $600 & $700. Instead this ended up costing us over $1,500.00, and Charles Barker president of Action, told us if we are unhappy with their service, to contact another HVAC contractor next time. We had a AC/Heating unit go out so we called and they were able to send someone over the same day. He quickly found the issue and got us the new needed part and repaired the unit in less than an hour. After that we had him look over an air flow issue we were having with another unit which he was also helped with. He was very helpful in explaining how systems worked which I found very helpful. We plan to have them back in the spring to do a regular check on all the other units.

A small block of styrofoam was found in the unit. The fan length was adjusted to stop it from hitting the unit, and the air flow was adjusted. It now works perfectly. We discussed other issues about service. The representative's name is Harley Kulkin, and he gave me solid advice and no nonsense service.

The guy who came out was actually from a different company but hired by Centex Homes. The price of this service was under warranty.

Excellent experience with this company from the time they came out and did an estimate {Serv Tech Don} to actually scheduling the appointment/signing contracts. Our Service Tech the day of the appointment was Mark Gilliam and we couldn't be happier!!! He was right on time and greeted us with a smile. He placed sheets down everywhere not to track dirt into our home and put on professional shoe covers as well. My appointment was at 8:00am and he/ service partner did not leave until 8:00pm that evening. Our crawl space was challenging and took much effort to revamp while properly fitting all the products, piping, brackets and everything else required for a new Ac/heating system. When they delivered the actual unit they needed to schedule a crane to haul the piece up and over our wall. This also took a while but the men were patient & knew it would be a longer day than expected. Both gentlemen worked right through lunch & we even offered them food, as homeowners we felt bad. Mark explained, "he was just doing his job!" Also I want to add Mark is a very polite, down to earth, very friendly guy--the perfect professional & representation for this company. He explained he was fairly new but absolutely is all about customer serving & pleasing his clietns- he explained everything from top to bottom. He made us feel super comfortable & a well trusted individual. The other things I respected about Mark's work was that he properly installed the unit tying all wires/cords and making everything neat & sodder perfectly. After the crawl space job Mark had cleaned up everthing with a shop vac unit {although everything was covered with sheets in our closet he still cleaned up tiny messes}. I would highly recommend Mark for your Service Tech needs. As far as the other guy he worked with-after 8:00pm he was out of here-he didn't explain to us all that went on with his performances and left abruptly which I agree was a truly long day but we were still clients & felt that was a bit unprofessional especially when spending that amount of money we would have liked to see the end result of his work. If we even had questions -- he was gone without even a goodbye. However, I do trust that his work was good. With that being said-Mark took us on the grand tour of the unit installed & showed us how to work everything. He never seemed rushed or in a hurry to get things done & even contacted us the next day to make sure we were okay with everything offering his number for any questions we may have in the future. Wow! An all around great guy & a true asset for this company, as he really cares about his appointments & people in general. Total professional, excellent service! We heard a grinding noise coming from our A/C unit fan one morning that concerned us. I went over and gave it a few taps and the sound went away. Still concerned, I called Lin Air later that morning to schedule a time for inspection. The operator was very nice and genuinely concerned about the unit. She advised that we turn it off, and she would have someone out to us ASAP. This was on a Wednesday. They were booked up that day, Thursday, and Friday, but assured me that someone would be by on Saturday. The guy (Dave) who performed the inspection, found nothing wrong. He went ahead and performed standard service and maintenance on our A/C unit and presented us with the bill for $75. He was very nice and professional. All in all, Lin Air was great from start to finish. I will definitely do business with them in the future as well as recommend them to friends and family.

Mike was AWESOME!!! He called when he was on the way. He was very professional, polite, and knowledgeable. He walked me thru the house and taught me about the vents, air conditioning, and how to keep everything in check. He found a leak in the one unit's coolant valve so he replaced that and added the needed coolant. That was the reason for the extra cost. I got the service for both units which was $59 each. The coolant was an additional $100. This was SO worth it. I will use them now twice a year to service my air / heating units.

Our 16 year old air conditioner stopped working; I called Lin-Air, and a live person answered the phone at 9:00 on Saturday night! I explained the problem, and she said the person on call that evening would call me back. He called back within about 10 minutes. He said they were heavily booked on Sunday; so I said having someone come out on Monday would be fine. I told them I'd be at work, and they said they would call me at work about 30 minutes prior to their arrival so I could come home and meet them. We met at our home, and they tested the system and told me what I suspected -- that replacing it was necessary. They gave us estimates for a 13, 14, and 16 SEER system. I also asked them to include in the estimate an Aprilaire whole-home air cleaner, which I had read about on their website. We decided on the 14 SEER system, and Lin-Air called me that afternoon to schedule the installation. They fit us in on Wednesday, saying they always try to fit in replacements for people without air conditioning as quickly as possible. They arrived right on time on Wednesday and started work quickly. There were five or six people doing the work -- some in the attic and some outside. They put down a tarp to protect the carpeting and vacuumed their work area before they left for the day. It took them less than five hours to do all the work, which included adjusting the duct work so that the master bedroom would get more air. I had asked about this when they gave me the estimate on Monday because the master bedroom was always much hotter than the rest of the house. They were efficient and professional. I was very impressed. Now the best news: We have a much more comfortable house and a lower electric bill. We got the new system just a week before record heat his Las Vegas. Last year, our old system had a hard time keeping up with super high temperatures, but the new system keeps the house luxuriously cool no matter how hot it gets outside. And the master bedroom is just as cool as the rest of the house. Also, the Aprilair has greatly reduced the amount of dust in the house. Just as an experiment, I haven't dusted the dining room table since the new system was installed over a month ago. There is less dust on it than there used to be after a week, and the air in the house just seems fresher and cleaner. And our first electric bill since the system was installed showed our usage (even after I adjusted it to account for the fact that we had no A/C for four days) had dropped by over 25% from this time last year! In short, I was very impressed by Lin-Air -- they answered their phone on Saturday night, called me every time they said they would, fit us in as quickly as possible, showed up on time, worked efficiently, and installed a fabulous system.

I called Sun Country as a 2nd opinion due to the inability of the previous vendor to resolve the issue. Stephen fit in the appointment and was at my house within 2 hours. He checked the attic unit and reviewed the air flow in the house. He discovered that the recently replaced (4 weeks) filters were already clogged, replaced them for me, cleaned the hand prints on the attic panel left by the previous vendor, and vacuumed the insulation (also left by the previous vendor). He didn't charge me for the visit as a 2nd opinion. I really appreciated his willingness to go the extra mile for us.

I could have just purchased the repair for $200, their minimum repair charge, which involved a part or two and some service time. But they have the membership which I took because there was no reason not to. The repairman said he would waive the entire repair fee if I wanted it for $150/year, which includes heat check in the fall and A/C check in the spring, as well as waived service fees and discounted rates for any repair. So in other words, getting the repair done, which was crucial, cost me less if I also wanted to take semi-annual check-ups (a service I would have purchased somewhere anyhow). He was very nice and professional, and while sometimes I feel wary about upsells, this one proved to be a downsell and a free repair.

Recent Review: When the estimator came out, he gave me the option to repair the unit for $1,000 or to install a new unit for $2,000. I chose to have the unit replaced. When they were replacing it, I learned that they were only replacing one portion of the unit instead of the entire unit. I had to argue with them why they would only attach a new part to the unit instead of replacing the entire unit. After the unit was replaced, the new total came to $3,500. Clayton, the owner, is very nice to deal with. He tried to make everything right the best way that he could. They did give me a ten year warranty for the trouble. It was not the owners fault and it was only the fault of the estimator as he did not inform me of all the details. I will use them in the future for my warranty.

Recent Review: It all went very, very well. Our 40 year old A/C unit went out on Saturday. Our new unit was up and running by noon on Tuesday. We got a highly rated, excellent A/C - heating unit. The service was excellent and professional. There was no damage done to property. They were in and out in an orderly and professional manner. David did not push to sell us more than we needed. The price was right. We high recommend Lake City Air and David Hamel. We thank them for the great service.

Recent Review: My airconditioning unit on one of my rental homes that was only 4 years old broke down in the begining of July. The unit has had maybe 15 or so repairs made to it since YES airconditioning of Las Vegas installed the LEMON four years ago. This time (July 2013) I found ACTION airconditioning. I explained to them that my tenant was 8 months pregnant and the air had gone out. i told them about the history of the unit and what a nightmare it had been. ACTION was very empathetic and move quickly to get the unit repaired. Two days later the unit broke down again (keep in mind this has been an ongoing theme for the last three summers). Action air went back out, fixed another problem that was unrelated to the issue three days prior and only charged me for the labor. One day later the HVAC system on my primary residence broke down. ACTION air sent Dustin to my home. Dustin went to the unit and within 20 minutes had it up and running. Dustin knoew exactly what the problem was and did not try to upsell in any way, which was refreshing. That repair only cost me $280.00. About a week and a half later the air on my rental was broke again. ACTION went there and fixed yet another problem unrelated to the prior repairs. Two days later the unit broke again. ACTION went back and spent hours trying to get to the bottom of the issues. They tried to fix yet another unrelated issue but after several hours of labor it was like a domino effect. They wjould fix one thing then something else would blow. ACTION told me they could continue to try to fix all the issues but they recommended at that point that it may be wiser to replace the unit rather than continue to invest thousands into this one. ACTION air did everything they could to save me from having to replace the unit. They were not anxous to get me to purchase a new unit in any way. I made the decision to have them put a new unit on the house. they did not charge me a dime for the repairs or time spent over the prior two days. They charged me just for the new unit and it ended up costing me about half the price of the LEMON that YES air had installed four years prior. The new unit was scheduled to be replaced the next day at noon. the morning of the install my tennant ended up in the hospital at 8 1/2 months pregnant suffering from heat exhaustion. I informed ACTION about the situation and the had the new unit installed and up and running by noon that day without even seeing a dime from me yet. Today my tennant is resting comfortable at home. Her and the unborn baby are doing just fine. I own five rental homes. I will never allow anyone but ACTION air to work on my HVAC systems. Not only are they true experts byt they have a very humanistic approach to doing business.
