Recent Review: Tom King was one of the subcontractors for Green Valley Pool. He did a great job removing the old deck and sidewalk around the pool and pouring a new decking. The job required lots of curves and he did a fabulous job making everything look great.

Recent Review: The crew always arrived prompt, and tried their best to keep the work site as orderly and clean as possible during the construction. Our only complaint is that there were a few problems with some of the contractors which extended the completion date about two months. The end result is exactly what were hoping for, and the pool, and the surrounding area makes the back of our house, look much better.

Recent Review: They did not do a satisfactory job at all. They arrived late and were not courteous when it came to calling us back for different things. When they had finally completed the job, it immediately began to bubble and peel. I couldn t get them to come back and fix it so I ended up reporting them to the better business bureau. To this very day, nothing has been done. I m not a happy customer and refuse to ever use their services again.

Recent Review: Brian is an enthusiastic and pleasant worker. I heard about him from my daughter. I've hired him many times in the past. He showed up 10 minutes before the appointment time. He brings all his own tools. He is thorough and cleaned up the areas he worked around after he was done. I've hired him to come next week to put up Christmas lights and put up a trampoline for my grandkids. He installed my above ground pool by himself last summer. He does everything, and as far as I can tell, he does an excellent job.

Recent Review: They did a pretty good job but not perfect. I did have some problems after they were done as some of the paint chipped in areas. I called them and they really didn't want to send someone back out to fix it, however they did make it right by delivering a free gallon of paint so I can finish the job myself.

Recent Review: The carpeting between the kitchen and the dinning room had pulled off of the tack strip and out of the metal transfer strip. Approximately 6 inches of carpet had detached from the metal transfer strip. I looked in the yellow pages of the telephone directory and found a Handyman list. Payless Handyman advertised itself as being licensed, bonded,and insured with 25 years of experience. On 06/04/2010 I called and talked to the owner Dennis Bradley. He told me his fee, $60.00, and set the appointment for between 10:00 and 12:00 PM the next day, on 06/05/2010. The next day Dennis didn't show for the appointment by 12:00 PM and it kept getting later and later, nor did he call me, so I called him. He explained that he was delayed because he was working on his swimming pool at his home. He never appologized for the delay or for not calling to inform me he would be late. This should have been a clue for what was to come, right? He set another appointment for around 4:00 PM that afternoon. When Dennis did come that afternoon he was late. When he finished he informed me that he would come back if there were any further problem with the carpet pulling loose; a wider metal transfer strip may have to be installed by drilling some holes into the cement slab to attach and secure the carpeting he told me. Note: the existing metal transfer strip was not loose or damaged. I had seen him rubbing the tucking tool back and forth over the edge of the carpet and transfer strip while he labored, but I wasn't close enough to see the damage he had caused to my carpet. Unfortunately I didn't do a close inspection until he had left the premises. I was upset at what I saw he had done; I decided to wait and think about the situation before proceeding any further for a few days. I finally called Dennis on 06/08/2010 and told him that the carpet was pulling out again. I with-held complaining any further. He informed me that he would come the next day 06/09/2010 between 10:00 and 12:00 PM to install a different metal strip. It was nearly 12:00 PM on 06/09/2010 and another no-show by Dennis, so I called him. He told me that he would be at my house by 4:00 PM. I informed him that he had set the appointment for between 10:00 and 12:00 PM, so what did he mean 4:00 PM?. At this point I was irritated and told him not to bother coming because I am very unhappy with his service and the quality of his work; that he had left my house knowing that he hadn't done the proper job and had rubbed off the carpet piling and exposed the backing. I also told him that I had called the Contractors Board and discovered that he wasn't a licensed contractor and that his ad in the telephone directory was misleading. Now I am out the fee for his call and I had to call a professional carpet company to come and repair my carpet.
