Service was excellent, their bid was the best value, installation happened quickly and they were very knowledgeable about the Enphase system I requested

PERFORMANCE SOLAR INC

Six week delay in installation. Fairly good communication re: cause of delay. In the 8 months since installed, 3 visits were needed to tighten connections where there were leaks. They did respond promptly each time and there was no charge for these adjustments. The unit does work well with an automatic switch.

We are very happy with the installation and follow-up. The system has been providing all our electricity for the past 3 months and we have been pleasantly surprised to find that the battery is supplying about 1/3 of our energy consumption. We did have a problem with the software after the installation but someone came and fixed it in a timely manner. Our only negative was that once we had paid our deposit we did not feel like Icon was very responsive when we contacted them to find out when to expect installation. Up to the point when they got paid they had been very prompt with returning calls, etc. but it took longer than expected for them to get the system in and schedule installation and they did not do a very good job at keeping us informed. We were not so much concerned about the delay, as they can't really control the supply and demand of the system, but we wanted to know what was going on when the estimated time for installation passed and we had not been contacted. Once installation was scheduled things went smoothly.

Jefferson Electric LLC

We chose Jefferson Electric to provide our Solar needs. From start to finish everything went as planned (except for some weather delays, not their fault) and we were kept well informed throughout the process. Matt Beauchamp made as many visits as needed to answer all our questions. Matt was great in explaining everything to expect from start to finish. We had met with other companies, but did not receive the amount of attention that Matt provided. Thanks Matt! We chose to go with a 15.2kW system as to generate all our electrical needs on an annual basis. We also went with Panasonic solar panels and SolarEdge Inverters because of warranty and quality of product. The installers are the best group of people anyone could ask for. They were all very polite and took what ever time needed to answer all our questions throughout the installation process. They were very respectful of our time and property. They made sure everything was cleaned up before they left for the day. I saw no smoking, heard no swearing and never saw / heard any inappropriate activity while they were at our home. I could not have ask for a better group of people to work with. I would highly recommend Jefferson Electric for any electrical / solar work you may need.

They had a salesman come to the house to give me a quote for the solar panel installation. The price was very competitive and the salesman answered all of our questions. The install took 2 days and the system was operational and has been functioning without issue for 2 months now. There is an app to monitor your solar panels function and a website to check up on them as well. Also there is a hookup to the utility panel that keeps a running number of Kilowatt hours your panels have produced. The company gets the permit from the city for the install and works with the electric company to set up everything that is needed. The whole process went smoothly despite my email mailbox blocking all the company emails for some reason. I have yet to get my solar rebate from the state but I expect that will go smoothly as well. There are good warranties provided for the equipment and labor.

Excellent. Extremely punctual and professional. Brian who is one of the owners did the installation and left me his business card if I have any questions regarding the functioning of the fan. Great "Big Deal".

Rectify Solar
3.0
When we 1st contacted Rectify they seemed very professional and knowledgeable. The representative came down and met with my husband and discussed what we were interested in installing. At the time we were not sure if we wanted a backup battery system installed with the panels. We had another company give us an estimate also. Once we were firm on how many panels we wanted and the backup that were were interested in installing we contacted the representative for additional information and for an updated quote so we could compare the cost of systems from the 2 vendors. That's where things fell apart. We do not know what happened, but we did not get any replies from Rectify or any type of follow-up calls. I thought it was pretty obvious that we were serious about installing a system and Rectify was in the running for our business until they totally dropped out of the picture. We have since signed a contract with another solar company for a system with 22 panels and a battery back-up system, so Rectify really hurt themselves by not returning our correspondence. We had hoped to give our business to a company in Indiana, but had to go to Ohio to find a company that responded to our questions.

I had my solar panels installed in April. Usually my bill in May and June is around $45 and since I had the solar panels installed my bills for those months was $7. Between the tax credit and the grant I only had to pay half the price. So far I've had it for 4 months and my meter goes backwards. I had 17 panels put on the house; the panels have a 25 year guarantee. I'm extremely pleased with my return, it's better than a 15% return as an investment. Everything is hooked up to the computer; you can go online to see what each individual panel is producing. If I produce more than I use they'll give me a credit.

Rectify Solar
5.0
Rectify first came out and assessed our needs. We had thought we might like to put solar panels on the roof of our house and our garage. There were several different options offered and the sales person assisted us in deciding to only put solar panels on our house roof for the time being. Rectify installed the panels on our roof and wired them into the house electrical system fast and efficiently. But installing the panels was just the beginning. The customer service Rectify gave us included leading us through the maze of permits and contracts necessary to have a working solar system. They obtained electrical and construction permits. They assisted us in applying to Indianapolis Power and Light for permission to hook into the IPL grid and in the contract with IPL for net metering necessary for feeding electricity back to the grid. They also gave us advice on selling the Renewable Energy Certificates that we are entitled to by generating solar power. Our solar array can be monitored through the internet. After the installation was complete Rectify came to the house and set up our account (which is more complicated than it sounds). The bottom line is we are very pleased with the system that Rectify installed but are extremely impressed with the customer service they gave us through the whole process. They are also very nice people. It was just a pleasure to deal with them.

NICK'S CUSTOM CONSTRUCTION
5.0
First, - let me start by saying I would hire Nick to complete any further work I decide to have done. He was professional, thorough and most important, the completed job was exactly what I hoped for. I have never been involved with any type of major re-modeling before so I really didn't know what to expect. I also didn't have a clue as to how much something like this should cost, ($5,000? - $10,000? - $20,000? more?), what all would need to be done/replaced, (floors and cabinets I knew, but what about the sink, faucets, lights, etc.) and most importantly, where to start.I received Nick's name and phone number from a plumber I had doing some work. However, I also decided to check Angie's List and ended up calling Nick and two other contractors for estimates. After meeting with all three, I decided to go with Nick. Not only was he professional, he was also personable and even at the first meeting offered suggestions on what type of flooring and cabinets would work within my budget. He also made some suggestions on where to shop, just to get ideas if nothing else.Once we finalized what work would be done (pretty much anything I wanted in the way of remodeling) and the price, Nick provided a contract and I ordered my cabinets and flooring.Once I knew when the cabinets would be in, I contacted Nick and we established a start date. The cabinets were delivered on Friday and Nick and Mike showed up on Monday. I have to say I at first I was a little concerned that it would be only the two of them doing all the work, but my concerns were absolutely unfounded. By the time I got home from work the first day (both my husband and son were around to answer questions and observe the progress) all the cabinets, most of the flooring (I still had stuff in the living room that had to be moved) and the wall had been removed. Nick discovered water damage to the under-flooring (I hope that's the right word) in the kitchen immediately and after discussing it with my husband agreed to fix the damage so we would not have to get anybody else in. He even went and purchased the necessary materials, not only so we wouldn't have to, (he knew what was needed - I would not have had a clue), but to make sure the damage got repaired immediately. I should have written this review over a month ago- unfortunately, since then, I've forgotten some of the exact timing of things.I believe the rest of the flooring had been removed by the end of the second day and the prep work was done for the painting . Most of the painting was done by the end of the third day, as well as the water line and electrical outlet installed in preparation for re-locating the refrigerator. When the cabinets were installed, Nick discovered a problem with the leveling. The cabinet to the left of where the stove would be was 2 to 3 inches lower than the cabinets on the right. Nick removed the cabinet on the left and re-installed it so that it was the same height as the others and everything was level. (I wish I could tell you what he did to fix it - all I know is that by looking I can't tell that there is any difference in the way it is installed and the way all the other cabinets are installed.) In addition, Nick made sure I was ok with the spacing between the bottom cabinets and the top cabinets and indicated he could move the top ones up if I wanted. (I was ok with were they were.) By the end of the week, the new floor was mostly installed (we had to order more since I decided I also wanted the hardwood flooring in the closets and pantry after our initial measurements), and we were basically waiting on the counter. Somebody I know who had done remodeling work suggested I not order the counter until the cabinets were in to be sure of the correct measurement. (Since it was my sister I thought I should listen.) However, what I should have done, was ordered the counter and not have the measurement done until the cabinets were installed. Since I waited, there was an almost week delay from the time I ordered the counter until they even came out and measured. Then we had to wait for the counter to come in and get installed. (The only reason Nick did not do the counter install was because the install was included in the price of the counter. )In the meantime, Nick agreed to go shopping with me to help me look at tile options for the back-splash and new lighting. Both of these items were things I had not even considered when I started this project. (Admittedly, it was one of the other contractors I interviewed that asked if I was installing new lighting - up until that point I hadn't even thought of it.) While out looking at tiles and lighting, we also looked at kitchen sinks and garbage disposals. Nick was extremely patient as I looked at all my options, answering my questions and making suggestions. So, the counter finally came in and was installed. In the meantime, I had purchased the lights, the sink and faucet, the front door, the garbage disposal, cabinet hardware, and the tiles for the back-splash. Once the counter was installed, within a few days the sink, faucet and new garbage disposal were installed. There was a problem in fitting the garbage disposal with the drain fittings I had selected, so Nick went to the store (with my blessing) and purchased a garbage disposal that would fit. (He re-boxed the one I had purchased so I was able to take it back for a refund.) Also, the new lights were installed, (including the 3 on the deck), the cabinet hardware was put in and the microwave was installed. (Did I mention he fixed a problem with the way the outlet for the microwave had been installed originally.) I changed my mind on the back-splash so, had to make one more shopping trip.On the last day, the back-splash was put up and the new front door was installed. This was a project with what seemed like many starts and stops and me changing my mind every five minutes. All of the delays were completely my fault and Nick was back on the job and getting things done as soon as was possible. Considering he had other jobs scheduled after mine (He estimated he would take 3 weeks) he was more than patient with re-scheduling and with all my changes/additions.

Recent Review: This is a great local company. I was impressed from my first conversation with them. I was conducting a price comparison for glass block but was having trouble getting decent pricing as most companies would only give price breaks for four windows or more (I only had three!). I called in and spoke to AJ who said they would honor a price I saw in the Gold Clipper. They scheduled a walk through a few days later. For the walk through, they called prior to coming and the consultant Herminio was punctual and professional. He looked at each window and talked about needs and how the process would go. He was very clear about what we needed to to do prep (not much!) and what the guys would do when they were here. We discussed price and it was exactly what I was quoted on the phone from AJ. We paid half down and Herminio said the office would call to set up the installation. A few days later Mike called and said they had an opening that weekend and they could fit us in. We were thrilled but had a very tight timeline due to an event later in the day. Unfortunately a job they were d*** ran long and they were unable to come after all that weekend. But, Mark (might have been Mike!) called and early in the day to tell me they had trouble at another job and schedule us for three days later. On installation day, at the time they promised, the office called to let me know the guys were on their way. George Jr. and Jorge showed up and were courteous and professional. They kept us posted as the job progressed and showed us work as it was completed. They walked me through each window inside and out ofter the job was done. I don't know anything about window installation and the windows have only been in for a few days but they do look great. We'll see how everything goes over time but at this point, I am very happy with the work! Also, it honestly looked like no one had been in my home when they left. The clean up was amazing. Bottom line: Very good company to work with. Very communicative, honest and gave good pricing. Their employees are knowledgable and care about the work they do. I am a big fan and will definitely use them again!
