When my heat went out, One Hour Heating Cooling came to my home and diagnosed the problem as a faulty heat exchanger rendering my furnace unsafe. One Hour installed my system but I had not used One Hour the last 4 years for service but was told by their technician they would honor my 10 year warranty (on my 9 year old furnace) if I could show paperwork that the furnace had been regularly serviced by another company. I had the records so the new equipment was ordered and the work ($1000+) was completed at no charge to me other than the original service charge of $89. Over the course of 3 days, Temarcus, Dennis, Ryan & Frank all came to my home and got everything up and running well. Highly recommend One Hour Heating Cooling.

I CALLED CONTROL TECH BASED ON THE REVIEWS HERE IN ANGIES LIST. I HAD THEM COME TO CLEAN AND INSPECT THE FURNACE IN A HOME I JUST MOVED INTO IN JULY. TECH ARRIVED PROMPTLY AT THE SCHEDULED TIME. HE BEGAN THE CLEANING AND FOUND THE HEAT EXCHANGER UNIT HAD A CRACK, WHICH WAS VERY OBVIOUS. HIS ADVICE WAS TO REPLACE BUT NOT USE THE FURNACE UNTIL THE HEAT EXCHANGER WAS REPLACED. HE MADE SEVERAL CALLS TO HIS MANAGER AND DETERMINED THE UNIT WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND I WOULD ONLY PAY LABOR COSTS. BASED ON ANGIE'S LIST RATING OF THIS COMPANY I DID NOT SEEK A SECOND OPINION. PLUS WITH THE ANGIE'S LIST COUPON AND PURCHASE OF THE SERVICE CONTRACT (WHICH I WAS ALSO ALLOWED TO USE ANGIES $25 COUPON) I SAVED $25.00 AND AN ADDITIONAL 15% OFF RESPECTIVELY ON THE LABOR CHARGES. BOTH TECHS WHO CAME WERE PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND PROMPT. ALSO SPENT TIME TO ANSWER ALL MY QUESTIONS. I FEEL LIKE I WAS TREATED WELL AND WILL USE CONTROL-TECH AGAIN FOR HEATING AND AC ISSUES.

Carl's Heating & Cooling
Carl was out at our house just last month to repair our A/C unit. So when the weather changed and we kicked on our furnace it worked for a couple days then nothing. So Carl was so awesome last month when he repaired our A/C and was about a thousand dollars cheaper than the other company that came out, we decided to call him again. Carl found out what was wrong, ordered the part, which took all weekend (out of everyone's control). The part came in and Carl called us to tell us he would be in first thing Monday morning. He came and fixed the furnace, on Monday and everything works great. If you need HVAC work done don't call anyone else but Carl. It will be worth your time and money.

On 01/27/2014 I called Dial One Heating for no heat and the service technician informed me the flame roll out limit triped and the heat exchanger was defective. The service technician found the heat exchanger to be under warranty and could be returned for replacement. On 01/29/2014 a salesman wrote an order for a new furnace but failed to credit the service call and referred me back to the service department for the heat exchanger exchange. The new furnace was installed on 01/31/2014 and the installers removed the old heat exchanger for me. Subsequent phone calls to both the company's service and sales offices have been to no avail.

There was no way I was going to go with them. When I asked for a quote they gave me $925. When I asked how long that would take he said about 3 hours. I asked if they normally charge over $300/hr for work and all I got was that is what the book says. The tech also seemed kind of condescending and didn't approve of the attitude I was getting.

We were very pleased with the work performed. Rinehart explained our heat exchanger was part of a warranty/recall and took care of the problem in one day. While we had to pay for labor charges in excess of the amount provided by the furnace manufacturer, we got a very good job and paid much less than the cost of furnace replacement. Rinehart knows what they are doing and we will be signing up for their annual maintenance service.

Jake was great. He was timely, professional, and very knowledgeable. So far we've been very pleased with his work. My only complaint, not at all related to the work performed, would be that we had to follow-up after the initial visit to find out about and schedule the actual work to be completed. Jake needed to order a part and so couldn't finish the job right away and more than that our service call was during a huge winter storm so we figured there would be a slight delay. I'm sure that his normal practice is to be on top of communication though.

Recent Review: After having our furnace turned off in the dead of winter by another company doing the routine inspection, and being told the heat exchanger was still under warranty, but the cost to replace would justify a new furnace, I was looking for someone to give me an estimate on a new Furnace or reasonably replace my warrantied Heat exchanger. We had estimated from $1200-3000 for this work. Derek from Peterman came out and said our furnace was in great shape and he could replace heat exchanger under warranty for $500. I had him throw in the ignitor that was identified as worn by the other company, and we agreed to the full scope of work at $600. The job was done 2 days later, on time and only took 2-3 hours. As I had anticipated, this was not an all day job and I was hesitant to pay someone over $1000 to do it. Peterman was great! Saved me a lot of money and we are up and running again with a furnace that should last several more years.

Recent Review: Bolls had originally come to clean our furnace but discovered leaks in the heat exchanger. The same afternoon a representative returned to our home and priced a new unit. We were offered a time slot two days later to have it installed. They arrived on time and laid a runner down from our back door all the way down the stairs and across our basement. The old furnace was removed, new PVC pipes were vented through the outside brick wall as this was a more fuel efficient model, and the new furnace was installed. They also reattached our central air filter, our zone heating unit, and our central humidifier. They cemented around the pipes they had run to the outside, cleaned up after themselves, and gave us time to inspect their work and ask any questions we might have. They explained the differences between the old and new furnace and gave us some pointers (like keeping the grandkids from dropping small toys into the outside pipes). The entire time they were in our home they wore footies to protect our floors and they were very careful to avoid gouging the walls or damaging the woodwork. We could not be more pleased with their service and will continue to use them in the future. Bolls Heating and Cooling are a small company and we prefer to get to know the folks who work in and on our home instead of having strangers every time doing the work. A truly great little business!!

Recent Review: These guys are great. They did such a great job cleaning our heat pump. They even duct taped all the seams to prevent leaks and repaired some torn insulation. No other company has performed this level of service.

Super Service Award Recent Review: On Thurs., 12 Nov., I had my furnace inspected by a firm I have used several times before. It was indicated that I needed to replace a cracked heat exchanger. I was referred to Action Air by an acquaintance for a second opinion. I called them on Friday and they sent a technician on 11/14/09. He took the furnace apart, removed the heat exchanger, tested it and found no crack(s). Since this was a second opinion there was no charge--hard to believe. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and thoroughness was impressive. Total time spent to do this work was 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Recent Review: Working with Broad Ripple Heating & Air was a real pleasure. The tech I had, Ted, was very nice and really knew his stuff... Not only did he do the replacement he showed and explained to me what was going on. The only issue I had was the tech was about 2 hours late and I never heard from a dispatcher or anything. What I was also extremely happy to hear is that they also do plumbing.
