The old basement staircase in one of my rentals had given way and I called Andrew. Since it was an emergency, he was able to squeeze me into his schedule and the stairs are now solid and safe.

Steve called when he was on his way and arrived at my house on time. He and his helper looked at what needed to be done, made a materials list, and then left for the home improvement store. About forty five minutes later they returned with materials. Steve's helper went to work tearing out the old stairs while Steve began measuring and cutting the new lumber into steps. Although he was working with an existing structure, Steve didn't have any problem in working with everything being a little out of square. He made everything fit and look good. Neither men took breaks while they were at my house. They didn't make or receive a bunch of cell phone calls. They actually wanted to get the job done so they could move on to another. When they finished, both men cleaned up, swept, and hauled away all debris. My staircase is now attractive, sturdy, and ready for winter.

Dixon's Custom Home Solutions

I began renovating my house 3 years ago. It's a 1923 Colonial. Though I do many of the projects myself, I do hire out jobs that are either too time consuming or beyond my carpentry skills. I have nothing but praise for this company. I have been amazed at the some of the companies I have contacted for estimates or work. I have experienced no shows, carpenters who obviously had no idea what they were doing and half-done jobs. NOT THE CASE WITH DIXON. From start to finish, they did a great job. It was a pleasure to meet David Dixon who gave me a thorough and complete estimate. The carpenters were very punctual, and if something came up Reagan called and explained that to me and a later arrival time was scheduled. The work itself was top rate. Though I did the finish on my staircase and drywall, Dixon got the work completely ready so all I had to do was sand and stain or paint. I would work with them again and have recommended them to many friends.

It was marvelous! Several years ago we had the idea to replace our stairway that was built in 1990 with the standard curvy spindles/balusters and acorn newels (posts). We put it on the back burner and finally decided this spring to do it in conjunction with other remodeling (mostly painting and flooring). Kathy and Dave worked with us with the design from various Pinterest ideas. We played with the design and with 2 slight revisions the design was finalized. Dave and his carpenters were meticulous with the geometry and math that went into building this. We are ecstatic with the outcome. It makes our house look like it was built this year. Our entry is unique, up to date, and beautifully welcoming to our guests. They combine craftsmanship, experience and artistry to their projects. We highly recommend All-Phase. This is the third project we've had them do. Each one was excellent.

The stairs job went as expected and new stairs are a big improvement . The ceiling job ended up being more involved than was planned for in the original estimate due to the textured ceiling and matching the existing color. The estimate was revised and the work completed satisfactorily.

I called Mr. Bennett a few weeks before I needed the attic floored for extra storage. He agreed to come out and quote me a price for the decking and 2x4s as well as the purchase and installation of a new metal attic staircase. I asked for the 2x4s because we have original-to-the-house wiring that was pulled tightly over the joists, and I wanted to be able to easily remove/replace/add wiring without having to pull up the decking. That probably increased the costs right off the bat. Mr. Bennett agreed with my request, although he said he could do the decking without the extra 2x4s. Because of the price of the staircase purchase/installation as well as other work we needed done, I declined to have Home Experts install the staircase at this time. His two workers showed up promptly at the agreed upon starting time to install the 2x4s and decking and were there for just over two hours. They did a very good job considering that all the 4'x8' sheets of decking had to be cut prior to pulling them into the attic space.

Excellent. Jeff & Rob repaired wall cracks (2 were doozy) & they painted the interior (ceiling, walls, trim& doors). The paint job wasn’t easy with a vaulted ceiling. They also replaced a very old, flimsy stair & loft railing. Their attention to detail was fantastic & my rooms & railing are so beautiful. I’ll always recommend them to friends & co-workers for any projects they may have & I’ll call them again for my next project.

Broad Ripple house with dangerous, old basement stairs. I wanted to have new stairs built and the door at the top widened. Mr. Burtt noted that I could use one of the 'extra' doors already in the basement for this purpose (the other guy who gave me an estimate wanted to charge me $250 for a new door). Excellent work, fair price, and a very nice man!

We needed a shaky banister and a broken stair railing fixed before my husband came home from hip surgery. This company was extremely responsive, coming out to give me an estimate the day I called, and scheduling the work for the very next day. The representative who completed the work was prompt, courteous, and thorough. The work was done as needed.

Recent Review: THIS IS A NEW COMPANY AND I WORKED WITH FRANK BYRD. I HAD A STAIRCASE IN A NEW HOUSE THAT WE HAD BOUGHT THAT WAS UNSAFE AND NEEDED MODIFIED QUICKLY AS I HAVE SMALL CHILDREN AND HAD ALREADY MOVED IN. I CALLED THEM. THEY WERE ABLE TO COME OUT THAT DAY AND GIVE AN ESTIMATE. THEY DREW A PICTURE AND DID THE DESIGN WITHIN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THEY COMPLETED THE QUOTE WITHIN THE NEXT 2-3 DAYS IN WRITING AND THEN COMPLETED THE WORK WITHIN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS. THE QUOTE WAS VERY GOOD COMPARED TO OTHERS I HAVE GOTTEN. PEOPLE WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, VERY NICE, AND VERY SENSITIVE TO OUR NEEDS. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

Recent Review: I contacted Scott Simpson after our first contractor took off with ~$25,000 of our money and a half completed house. My husband and I were very nervous about working with another contractor. Scott won us over and we gave him the job. Since we live 2 hours from the lake house Scott sent us pictures and kept us up to date weekly. Scott and his crew are the friendliest people. I would go to the lake by myself many times so I could stain wood, or paint. I can honestly say that I looked forward to them coming in the morning. They are respectful, clean, kind men. They got to know my family (even my dog). They would stop immediately if I needed to talk to them and dealt with my constant need to make this new house look like a home. Sometimes I would move their tools or walk behind them cleaning up - they just laughed and worked around me. Their work ethic is incredible and the quality shows. They came in on weekends if we needed it and worked late if they knew we were coming in to town to see them. I can't recommend this company enough. We did not know them at all prior to May 2011 but I would consider them friends now. I will really hate to see them leave. So, thank you to Scott, Doug, Johnny, Jeff, Louie, Steve, and of course, Jamie. You restored our faith and became our friends.

What do customers in Indianapolis say about Metal Stairs Installation?

David came out to review the work that I was unhappy about. He told me that I bought the wrong size attic staircase and gave me a recommendation. What concern me was that his workers went ahead and installed the wrong attic staircase without informing me that I should get a different one. Once installed, it looked terrible. It was difficult to open and was wobbly. I went out and bought the recommended attic staircase and David had his workers return. It was installed properly and looks fine.
