Came home after weekend to house with furnace not working. Came out that evening provided us quotes, alternatives and recommendation for our house. They came out the next day and installed new furnace which also required some new duct work since new furnaces are not as big as our old furnace.. Removing old furnace and installing new furnace took about 6 hours. They also created a place for a standard filter to fit in our ducting since new furnace had none standard filter size. We are happy to have heat again.

The furnace malfunctioned and Steve came out the same morning and determined the fan motor was not working. Since the repair would cost approx. $450 and the furnace was 18 years old I inquired about the cost of a new furnace. The same day Nathan came and provided us with various estimates for a new furnace and we selected a 95% effecient furnace to qualify for the various tax credits available. The next morning Brent and Rick installed the new furnace and thermostat and removed the old furnace and were finished by 4 pm. They did an excellent job of installing the furnace.

Furnace stopped heating house one morning and I was able to reset it by power cycling the furnace for 5 minutes. Called Muegge to check the furnace to ensure no major issue still existed. Service technician arrived within hours of my call and did a complete inspection of the furnace. He found nothing wrong with the furnace but suspected one of the circuits had overloaded. However since I had power cycled the furnace, the error code was not available. Technician explained everything to my satisfaction and ensured furnace was working properly including minor cleaning of flame tubes.

Awesome job. Above expectations. Tech from the furnace company called 25 minutes prior to arrival to let me know he was on his way. He performed a thorough inspection of the heating system, checking heat rise temps, specs on the furnace such as voltage and ohm meter tests on all systems and checked and tuned burners. Furnace was given clean bill of health. I shut the furnace off in the afternoon and went to start it that evening. Furnace would not start. Furnace tech was called and came out the very next morning. He found that the orifice in the burner assembly has a cobweb in it. (This happens on very rare occasions) The tech took care of the problem and the furnace was back up and running. There was no charge for the return visit and I was very happy. The furnace is working like a champ. ***Note to users: It is highly advisable to have the furnace in your home cleaned and inspected yearly. You will avoid costly repairs, breakdowns and excessive wear and tear on the furnace. HVAC Professionals always document their work with a sticker on your furnace. This yearly service actually makes your home more valuable when you go to sell it. A clean and check for $39.00 is an absolute bargain. Grab it while you can!

Recent Review: The blower motor noise was caused by a broken mounting bracket weld. The provider replaced the bracket and also sealed a condensation leak on another component. The technician was very knowledgeable. The furnace was given a yearly tune up. We also signed a service contract for two visits in 2016, one for A/C and the other for the furnace.

Recent Review: Last Friday, the 17th, they advised us that they had a cancellation and would be able to schedule us earlier. When they came to inspect the furnace, they found that there was a huge crack. The furnace had to be immediately shut-off due to the risk of carbon monoxide. Within an hour of shutting down the furnace, they brought 3 space heaters to keep our house warm. They set-up the heaters and adjusted them for us, which I was appreciative of. Shortly after, late in the day, the owner of the company came-out to advise us about a new furnace. The very next day, the new furnace was installed. I was very thankful for them taking such great care of us.

Recent Review: Called Mr Quick at about 730am on Thursday for problems in my old 17 year old furnace. They had a person at my house by 830am. THey gave me a quote on fixing the old furnace or if I wanted to replace it they would send someone out to evaluate my needs. Someone came out about a hour later and we talked. I ordered a new furnace and ordered to have my air ducts cleaned. The next morning a crew came out and cleaned my air ducts and then removed the old furnace and installed the new one. The service people were great and did a great job. They even loaned us space heaters to get thru the night before installation.

Recent Review: Date of installation of new furnace is 12-9-15 & was not charged for cleaning. The following will explain. The owner of Absolute Comfort arrived on time & checked my furnace visually & with a camera to check the inside of the furnace unit. After finding multiple issues with my 26 year old furnace it was determined the furnace was beyond repair. No change for cleaning because the furnace could not be fixed or saved. I have a new 95% efficient furnace & I am very happy. The office personnel was very helpful & courteous. I will be a repeat customer with Absolute Comfort & Angie's List.

Recent Review: Furnace had not been cleaned and checked for several years. Called Howald and got an appointment immediately for the day and time I requested. Got a call telling me that the technician was on his way and he arrived a few minutes later, at the time promised. He spent about an hour checking over the furnace and cleaning it. He did not make any repairs, but the furnace does ignite more smoothly now that it's clean. My furnace is more than 40 years old (1971), but the technician did not try to sell me a new furnace. He said it was running fine but was getting rusty and was inefficient compared to the new ones. I will probably get a new furnace this spring or summer, so I appreciated the honest assessment of the current furnace and info he provided me on cost and efficiency of 80-percent and 90-percent furnaces and on options for air filters. I thought that the price was fair for the time and effort he put into the cleaning and checking of the furnace. (He also fixed a loose cover on the furnace.) I will definitely use this company again for furnace work and will request the technician (Adam) who provided the service.
