I have used Freddy?s before with interior painting and was greatly impressed, so I asked them to bid on painting the exterior of my lake house. Their bid was in line with what I anticipated spending on the job. They also offered to power wash and seal the attached deck. The resulting paint and sealing jobs were flawless. I found it hard to believe that they could paint such straight lines without the use of painter?s tape. The painters were real professionals. They even doubled the sealer coats on my deck without me asking and without extra charge. All was completed according to the bid except for an outbuilding door that was painted the wrong color. When I informed Sylvia about this she had the same crew go out the next week just to re-paint the door?a 120 mile round trip drive. Freddy?s service has always been top notch and this job proved to me once again that they should receive special recognition for their professionalism and good service

The boards were cut and painted with primer paint, then installed and painted with decking paint. The boards are now to far apart with 1-2 inch gaps and the trim in back of deck was not finished with cross trim finish. Banister post in back was not attached back on very well. Railing now Wobbles. there was a big dent left in a handrail that was not touched. I also had to call and have them come back to finish painting the entire front deck to match the boards replaced. Have not decided if I will have them fix the gaps in front porch decking boards. Post repair and handrail installed along with gutter downspout installed was done well. Power wash house and walkway was good and bad depending on which power wash crew was working. One crew did a great job, another I don't want back. Had to have them come back and finish power Washing one side of my house that was not done. The person who did my back room roof with HydroStop waterproofing did a fantastic job. He (think his name was Tony) worked alone and was very careful to waterproof and seal. Instead of power washing roof first, which was suggested to him, he power blew and swept debris off roof area to waterproof. He did this because Power Washing would have flooded the room below roof. He worked hard and long to get the job done correctly. He even came in and worked on replacing wet insulation below roof and replaced screws that had fallen out and were missing. He did superior work. No leaking yet 5/9/2016. I will definitely have this done again when needed. I decided later that the back 8'X14' deck needed painting after Power Washing. The price quoted I felt was high for the type of job, but I couldn't say no, because I couldn't do it, and it really needed paint, so I had them go ahead. The back deck was painted, No priming done

Adam, a long-time employee, power washed the deck. He was extremely careful to protect my plants in the flower beds around the deck so they would not be damaged. He was obviously experienced and knew how to use the spray evenly without applying too much pressure which can damage the wood. He was extremely polite and pleasant in addition to being punctual and knowledgeable. After several days of drying time, Ernie, the owner, applied the sealer to the deck. He carefully tested the wood to be sure it was sufficiently dry and then applied several coats of sealer. It looks wonderful and I am confident that with this professional care, the deck is well preserved

Armando's Handyman & Remodeling Services
Armando did an excellent job. He started work immediately and finished very quickly. Did a pretty large remodel in under two weeks. Didn't inflate his price at the end like some handymen and contractors will. Definitely recommend for those who need an experienced handyman.

Jim Aswell and his crew at Xquisite Finishes were very helpful in recommending the exact repairs and work that needed to be done, nothing extra. The cost estimates that were submitted for the proposed work were fairly priced and competitive. The crew was courteous and professional in performing their work throughout the project, Jim directly supervised all work, and the completed work and product was of good quality. I would definitely recommend Xquisite Finishes and will use them again on future projects

Luxz Painting & Construction Svcs
Luxz Painting & Design, Inc. did an excellent job painting my patio deck. They are very professional and did exactly what was specified on the estimate. They did a good job from beginning to end including the prep. work consisting of power washing mildew areas, taping and covering areas and finally priming the bare wood and finishing with two coats of satin gloss paint. Cleanup afterward was also very good. Mr. Torres, the owner came by to inspect the final work to make sure everything was perfect and to make sure I was happy with the work - a very professional touch. I would not hesitate to hire Luzx Painting again on future painting projects

Work went well despite high heat & rain, the guys were polite & friendly, they created no mess & protected below with drop cloths when needed. They used only brushes & rollers to apply paint by hand which made each coat heavy & complete coverage. House looked brand new when completed. We would highly recommend Priceless Paint (Luis Paez)

Excellent work with very good results. I had no problems whatsoever. I have asked him to come back and paint my kitchen cabinets.

Lone Star Seal, LLC
Horrible. They were nice people, but not competent. They damaged our deck that they resealed. It is a very expensive deck and they left marks on the entire deck which ruined the surface. It took them over a week, which is a lot longer than they said it would take.

Allied Outdoor Solutions
Very pleased with the overall product. It took a lot longer than expected though. We were very picky and George did everything we asked him to do. Allied was our most expensive bid by far, however, the quality of their product seems to be far superior than others.

Jim's crew did an outstanding job on all the projects that I hired them to do. The house was power washed, sealed and painted efficiently and with high quality standards. I can say the same for all the projects the team did for me. Pricing was fair and reasonable and all projects were done in a timely manner. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again

Affordable Remodeling by John
He was very professional and very thorough. We had a lot of contact with him because we kept having to reschedule because of rain but otherwise it was fine. He was very good.

Jon and his assistant did a terrific job of re-finishing both decks. The work was done at the time and cost as promised. Very prompt, honest, and professional. We enjoyed Jon personally as well as professionally, and would recommend his business to anyone.

Creative Landscape By Wakefield
They never sealed it and put finishing on it. I've been trying to get them to come back out for more than a year, but they ignore me. I just need them to do what is right and finish the job. The deck has sustained damages because it's not sealed.

R&J Pressure Washing
I was very pleased with the final product of the painting of my walls and baseboards as well as the staining/ poly of my hardwood floors.
crew and work were good. started early and finished early. price was a little higher than other estimates but close enough to use. the estimator, dave, was very professional and sold us on using his company. he stayed in touch during and after the job and dealt with the changes we had. easy and good to work with him
Very pleased with the service performed. Highly recommended. In addition to the paint job (see my other review), The Peraltas company removed old gutters and replace rot-damaged wood trim around the house. The estimate I received was lower than other estimates for replacing trim (labor and materials). Few days later, crew arrived, removed old gutters, installed new 1x2" trim and power washed my house in preparation for the paint job which I also ordered from the Peraltas company (the $1199 deal). Finally, they removed all the debris after the paint job was completed. Great job guys
Mike Moncure certainly knows how to listen to customers. He answered questions & visited the site frequently. His team did a meticulous job of painting & fretted over how our house wasn't built on the square nor level (are any?). The team was punctual, paid attention to leaving the site clean each day, & remembered that we had a pet who used the yard each night (fence had to be set back in place each night). This job was sequenced with a roof replacement. The teams were professional, courteous, & everything you could hope for. We are probably not the easiest people to work with, but they always handled our concerns with grace. I don't know how much it should cost to apply siding & paint a house, but I am very happy with the results from this company. They also do other remodeling & we are considering another project next spring. We will be calling them
I spoke to 3 different contractors about the work I wanted done on my house . I chose Steve and Colony Roofing. He listened to what I wanted. He told me how they would do the job. He gave me a fair quote. It was not the least expensive price but in my conversations with the different contractors, I felt more comfortable with Steve's company doing the job. I just liked his approach to the whole process. The work was performed exactly as expected. His crews were on time, did very good work and cleaned up after each job. Steve was on site several times to check their work and actually had them make some changes on the carpentry job to his standards. Steve also followed up with the roofing supplies manufacturer to make sure they inspected my house, approved and processed my warranty. The manufacturer was way behind in their inspection work. It took 3 months but Steve continued to follow up and I received my warranty certificate in March. I would recommend Steve and Colony Roofing to anyone in need of the services they provide. I will use Colony Roofing again if I have the need
Carnival quote was less than the two others I received and half the price quote from Lopez. The job was expected to take 2-3 days it took 4 full days, house has a lot of trim, 2 story house and garage, some of it rotten which was all replaced. All exterior surfaces were done including house, garage, patio, balcony, deck, railing etc. Also repaired dining room ceiling hole/damage. Price was within quote, guys were quiet, hard working, profesional. A great job, I highly recomend them
I couldn't be happier overall. Erik came out Friday and had a quote done in minutes. It was reasonable and I had a favorable impression overall of Erik and Next Door. It didn't hurt that they had excellent ratings. So I called Monday to confirm, and the crew was out the next day and finished the entire job in one day. The attention to detail was impressive and I would definitely recommend Next Door Painting
They did 3 things for me deck repair, new fencing and a custom shelving system. Judah came out quickly for the estimate and gave me a quote with an hour. The price was reasonable considering the old concrete post had to be dug up, removed and shelves I wanted built were unique. The work on both the fence and deck looks great. Straight clean rows with sturdy construction. The shelves came out fantastic, exactly what I was looking for. Judah and his project manger Daniel I belive were on site frequently and always accessible. The team who did the work was polite, clean and efficient. They did everything we had agreed on and then some
In brief, Dave Summers and his crew were outstanding from start to finish. They were professional and first class in every respect- excellent communicators, up front in terms of laying out cost info, performing work on schedule, cleaned up thoroughly etc. I also felt their work was reasonably priced and there were no surprises. I heard about them because they did a remodeling job for my Niece who was equally impressed with their work and highly recommended them. Just sorry you don’t have an A+ category because I feel they deserved it
Jose was very flexible to work with. His team worked for about 1 week without any supervision throughout the job. He has to go through my living and dining room to access the backyard and was able keep them clean throughout the job. Due to miscommunication , the stain used on the floor was wrong. He was willing to come back and have it redone the following day
We initially contacted Steve a couple of weeks before Hurricane Ike for an estimate. Of the handful of contractors we considered, he was the only one to respond after the storm. In fact, he even contacted us only a couple of days after the storm, despite pending concerns with his own residence. He mentioned that he was taking care of his "pre-Ike" customers first. We found this especially attractive, given the fact that many contractors would have ignored previous prospects in an effort to profit from storm damage. The work began about a week after Ike. Other than a couple of minor scheduling glitches(mostly due to rain)the work was done in a timely, attentive manner. And in the cases of any delays, Steve promptly gave us a call, responded to our inquiries and stayed on-top of the job's progress. The crew's attention to detailed prep-work was impressive. In fact, the vast majority of their time was spent repairing rotted wood, scraping, washing, sealing, caulking, priming, etc. After all this, the painting itself was pretty much a no-brainer. As they say with any paint job, prep work is the key to a quality final product. Steve's crew opened a few "painted-shut" windows which had been sealed for several years and also pressure-washed our decks and front steps. Steve matched our existing colors with no problems, and even made a few trim-paint suggestions which have enhanced the house's overall look. Perhaps the most impressive part of the job was what Steve's crew did on our front porch. We have a 1920's bungalow with a large front porch, with wood slats/decking. The deck paint they applied looks incredible, and seems as though it will endure for many years to come. They even painted the front porch swing. Finally, Steve was always approachable, accessible and honest. In the event something (very minor, in our case) didn't go precisely as planned, he was "up-front," and worked to find a satisfactory solution
Beau, his brother Aaron, and Charlie did a superb job in performing the work that we requested--they deserve an A+ for their workmanship, courtesy, attention to detail, and our needs. Be assured that I am not exaggerating because I have evaluated hundreds of individuals as a requirement of my job and they are tops in the field of reconstruction and home repair. They are efficient, do not waste time, and give the customer the best value for their dollar. They worked for us off and on according to our schedule over a two month period of time to complete the tasks we asked them to perform. We would definitely call them back if we have similar work to be performed. Courtesy, respect of the client and their wishes, and professionalism were their greatest attributes
Great! Jose and his team are always professional- punctual, considerate and clean. Jose is a pleasure to work with. He is very responsive and honest and is committed to customer service and satisfaction. Working with Jose is like having someone on your team who is as committed to the success of both the immediate project and the long term vision as you are
I had a fantastic experience working with Keith, the owner of CertaPro Painters of Central Houston. Last year, I was prepping my home in Houston to put on the market; this was particularly difficult since I live in Minnesota! Initially, I hired Keith and his crew to simply paint the trim on my house (a task "beneath" other painting contractors). He and his crew teated the job with professionalism and started and finished work in a timely manner. Since I was overseeing this work remotely, Keith took many pictures for me (before and after). Some of the pictures were such good quality that I ended up using them instead of my realtor's on the listing website! After the paint job, Keith said to let him know if there were any other painting/handyman tasks that I needed to get my house ready and that either his crew or someone he knew would most likely be able to take care of it. Well, after a different contractor backed out on me most inconveniently, I did end up taking Keith's offer, and he helped me coordinate and complete many random tasks: installing seam covers between different types of flooring, installing a ceiling fan extension rod and wireless remote, installing quarter-round, powerwashing the driveway, etc. All of the work was done well and at a fair price. What's truly invaluable though is finding someone you trust enough to let into your home and someone who you know will get the job done right. I was so fortunate that I didn't have to try to find ten different people to get the various tasks done; finding one good person is difficult enough! I appreciated how convenient Keith made it for me to work with him remotely. He emailed the recepits I needed to sign, and then I would scan and email them back. Everything was done very promptly. I unfortunately never got to meet Keith in person, but my realtor did and spoke very highly of him, and I got a very pleasant impression from the emails and phone calls. We even got a holiday greeting card from him and his family, which I felt was a nice personal touch to doing business. If I were still living in Houston, I'm sure I'd be doing business with Keith and CertaPro for many more years
Excellent! Very happy with the service. Called for a quote on money afternoon, they were $100 cheaper than a competitor and came out the following morning. I needed both sides of the door refinishing as I have large dogs that have marked the inside with their claws and the outside was weather damaged. They took 5 or 6 hours to do the job, working on the street outside to allow for ventilation. E door was super smooth after they had sanded it and after applying e finish it looks FANTASTIC! Genuinely better than I had anticipated and really stands out! Exceeded all my expectations and I would recommend them to anyone
Cabot was great! He was so professional and just nice. You don't always get that anymore unfortunately. He came out quickly and addressed our issue which turned out to not be a problem. Thankfully our issue was resolved and he was able to give us peace of mind. I highly recommend Green Star!

What do customers in Houston say about Deck Waterproofing?
First they power washed the whole exterior, stone, deck, and wood siding. We only expected them to power wash the wood that need repainting. They waited a couple days to dry out then came back and painted the exterior wood portion. Job was very well done for the most part. A few minor blemishes that we're quickly fixed once pointed out. The painters left and forgot to seal the deck. Called and reminded them. They were out 2 days later to finish and seal the deck.
