Our 28 year old sewage grinder pump failed and we discovered it Sunday evening when our holding tank overflowed. Without sewer, we had to stay in a hotel. Called Alliance early Monday morning and they promised a tech out that afternoon. When the owner Kelly found out we were staying in a hotel, he came out that morning. He spent about 30 minutes fully understanding our system but couldn?t diagnose it until the tank was pumped out. He gave recommendations on septic companies we could call to pump out the tank. Then he gave me his cell to call as soon as the tank was empty. We had the tank pumped late Tuesday morning and Kelly and Steven were out early Tuesday afternoon. They determined the pump and at least one of the float switches needed to be replaced. Kelly had already scouted out a new pump and had someone drive into Houston to pick it up that afternoon. Wednesday morning first thing Steven, Robert, and Kelly came out to do the new installation. This included the new pump, new float switches, and necessary electrical work to the control panel. The control panel had been rewired at some point and they needed to call in an electrician to help get it all figured out, but didn?t change our quoted price. We were up and running again Wednesday afternoon. For all the work they did, the price was very reasonable. This is a top notch company. Kelly gave us priority due to our situation and did a lot of the work himself. Kelly, Steven and Robert were entirely professional plus pleasant people to deal with. Steven even came back 2 more times to make sure the float switches were working as they should. Excellent service.

Big State Plumbing Inc

My wife contacted Big State, after finding their review on Angie's List, on the evening of April 8, 2015. We had no hot water in the house. They addressed my wife's concerns and set an appointment for the next morning. Two technicians arrived the next morning (Shane & Tyler). They inspected the hot water heater and found it to be in bad order (leaking), and recommended a replacement. Their pricing was fair compared to pricing I had received several years back for a similar unit. They proceeded to replace the heater. After it was installed they flushed our hot water circulating loop and found it to have silt and dirt in the system. They then proceeded to inspect the circulating pump and found it to be in bad order. They installed a replacement pump, with an upgraded unit, tested the system and left with all working properly. They also cleaned up after themselves, even vacuuming the upstairs carpet. They were very courteous and professional. To prevent future failures they also suggested installation of a water softener. We will consider this in the future.

I am having standing water under my pier and beam home and didn't know where to start. Since the home was supposed to have a sump pump, I started out calling Pumps of Houston to evaluate the pump and give any advice. Dana in the service dept was very professional and nice. Roger and Anthony came out within 3 days to evaluate the situation. It turns out, that I did not have a sump pump after all! But, they were extremely professional, and helped me problem solve some reasons for why there might be water under the home. Both of them cared about the outcome - even though it wasn't a problem that they really service anyway (since there turned out to be no sump pump to repair). I was impressed by their professionalism and commitment to fixing a problem - even if it's not within their domain.

Texan Water

We had a serious problem with our pump system from the cistern and were desperate to get water flowing back to the house. Brice and his crew did a great job in coming out twice to walk the site and review our problems with us on site. They installed a new pump, re-piped the pump house and de-bugged the water system once it was online. The plan was comprehensive and value for the money spent. We would strongly recommend Texan Water to anyone in the Hill Country area. Michael Smith 440 Leaning Oak Trail Henly 8 miles west of Dripping Springs 8/22/2018

ABRACADABRA SEPTIC PUMPING
1.0
I am so upset with Abracadabra Septic Pumping. I have never written a review prior to this… I called them during the Covid1-19 pandemic lock-down. I had been feeling extremely ill for the past 3 weeks. The driver was made aware and although I had planned to not personally interact, he felt better to reschedule. We did so following a negative test on my part for the virus. They came back out to the property. I stayed inside to insure social distancing. I had never had this system pumped out and did not understand what was it entailed. I just explained that my service provider had noticed me that the system needed to be pumped out. I had been asked who serviced the system which I had passed on. The fellow pumping out the system called asking me if there was another tank. I explained that there was an original tank, but that my understanding was that it was obsolete and the aromatic system was the new system. I do not and have never had the need to understand this septic system. Someone comes out to inspect it. I am told to have it pumped out. I called a pumping company to have it pumped out. Period. I was charged $350.00 to pump out half the system. Now my service people are explaining to me that without pumping the entire system; it is money down the drain (so to speak). I will now have to call a different pumping company to pop open the lids of the two tanks I had paid Abracadabra to pump and also to dig to find the Trash Tank and Clarifier Tank that Abracadabra knows is part of the system but was too lazy and dishonest to find on their own, charging me money that I will have to pay a second time to another pumper plus the amount to complete the job. When I called Abracadabra to explain the pumping was not properly completed, they told me this was my fault because I did not tell their guy that there were 2 more chambers. As I had placed the order with their office that my service people had left me a notice to pump the aerobic septic system, it never occurred to me they needed additional instructions. It is his company’s job to make sure they send someone out that does a complete job, making sure the homeowner does not burn up their pump due to shoddy pumping. If there was a person needing to explain their were 2 more chambers; it would be the pumping company’s responsibility to clearly explain to the homeowner what the job consisted of. Why would a homeowner ask to only have half the job completed? Living in such difficult times, it would seem people would be more concerned with doing the right thing by their customers. It is sad when one comes across the opposite behavior. In my opinion this is not just shoddy work, this is completely fly by night rip off work.

Scott Drilling Inc.

Our pump went out on Thursday afternoon. I was watering plants and suddenly ran out of water. After checking that we still had electricity I went to the pump house and saw we had no pressure in our pressure tank. I called the well people I normally work with and they were unavailable to help us. I started calling around to see if I could find a company to pull our pump and figure out what the problem was. Scott Drilling sent someone to take a look at our situation. They said they could do the job the next day. Our well is in an awkward spot. They were able to pull the pump and install a new one. Our old pump had greatly exceeded it's statistical lifetime. We needed a new one. They provided and installed the new pump. They extended our pipe so the new pump is deeper than the old one was. They corrected an issue with the connections from the pump to the pressure tank. They replaced the old wire with new. Their employees were courteous, polite and efficient. I was never concerned about any of their actions, I watched the entire process and it was impressive. They gave complete confidence in their ability to do the work and to do it properly. They cleaned every thing up before leaving. I have been on Angie's List for two years and this is the first time I have initiated a report without prompting. I would highly recommend these folks.

Recent Review: My husband worked with the gentleman to show him where the trouble was and my husband said he was very knowledgeable and worked fast to repair our system, as we had no supply of water whatsoever. My husband was very pleased with him and said he would definitely use him again. This happened on a Saturday morning, and after contacting Angie's List to get a referral, I talked to him, but he already was on a project. He said he would call later in the day, if he could finish that project and hopefully drop by. At around 5:00, the gentlemen called and said he would not be finished with the project until late into the evening, but said that he would call around 9:00 Sunday morning and could come out then. He did call Sunday morning as promised and gave us a time when he could come out (which was in the morning) and he arrived on time. This was one of the best experiences we have had with a service provider in a long time. Thank you for your recommendation, and we would totally recommend them to anyone in need of well maintenance.

Recent Review: Eric came out on the job, he was on time and was so courteous and helpful. It was obvious he was well trained and versed on septic system's. He explained everything in detail. They had to return due to parts. They found additional work was needed on one of my tanks and once again Eric was explaining the pros and cons to me before any work was done. They were at my home a total of four times and each time they were neat, professional and helpful. Chris came out on one occasion and was very helpful and kind as well. I am a widow so I don't have a husband to ask things and Chris even answered my silly questions about what was okay to put in the septic via the disposal. I will DEFINITELY use them again.

Recent Review: I received a call within a minute of requesting the estimate. Mr. Mike Heaton (owner) completed the repair the very next day. It was absolutely the best experience with a plumber/contractor. Heaton Plumbing far exceeded my expectations in every way. The price was better than expected, and the response was the quickest ever. There are too many positives to list regarding Heaton Plumbing's Mike Heaton - He is great!

Recent Review: Ballard Water Well Company LLC 13895 East FM 1097 Willis, TX 77378 pricing for services and products provided me were exorbitant compared to other local well service pricing and elsewhere available products. I would highly suggest anyone considering well services, price shop first, and most assuredly inquire from Ballard their typical pricing prior to requesting their services.
