Reviews in Houston to Install Interior Trim & Decorative Molding
Lawman Commercial and Residential Painting
The ceiling and wall paint was fine although the ceiling needs another coat. The trim was terrible. They used the wrong paint, using water base over oil. I had to tell them what they were doing was wrong and what paint to use. I have paint all over my wood floors and I could have done a much better job. I’m not even super picky. I’ve never left a bad review and feel bad doing so but I’d hate for someone else to go through what I did. On a positive note, they did try to fix it but I think they had never done trim before. The owner was nice and if I called again they probably would have come back again but at that point I was so over it I decided to have someone else fix it

The PERALTAS Remodeling and Services LLC
The Peraltas did a great job for us. The custom exterior and interior trim work they did was outstanding. They took their time building the trim needed and it matches perfectly. The priming and painting was done very well as well - thorough coats with sharp lines. We had one issue come up with the French door installation after the fact, but it was fixed to our satisfaction with one call to the owner. We enjoyed working we The Peraltas and found the company to be very responsive and professional. Even when the owner wasn't on-site, we felt the workers who were, were capable and professional too

These guys did an absolutely fantastic job. They took an old, run down room that looked really bad and made it look great. The room now has nice tile, a fresh coat of paint, new fixtures and an energy efficient window that I really love. I will definitely be using these guys again.

Houston Repair & Remodeling
The painting was done very well, and the trim looks great. He found some carpenter ant damage around one of the windows and showed it to me. Of course, it cost more to fix that unexpected damage, but he gave me an estimate right then, and then stuck to it. So there were no additional surprises with the price. He was very punctual, and finished the work pretty quickly. He cleaned up nicely afterward

M & M Roofing Co Inc
Everything went extremely well. Mike, the salesman, kept in touch before and during the job. The siding crew and the painting crew did good work and cleaned up after they finished Only issue was an outdoor light that was crooked. Finally fixed this morning. The persistent rain a few weeks ago delayed the project, but the crews were able to take advantage of the good weather

We had quite of bit of rotted wood (trim and fascia), and a LOT of caulking that needed to be done before repainting, including 20 or so original 1930s wood windows. The guys came in and got the job done, with minimal fuss. I would come by each day to check up on them, and they were always hard at work. We would walk around the house and if I saw anything that needed attention, they would make sure it was corrected. All told, it took a solid week, which was how long I was promised it would take. I have recommended them to other neighbors

Cesar did a great job on the wood work. His painting crew as well did an excellent job filling holes, sanding and making the house ready for sale.

Quality Control Remodeling
He showed up on time, was very well organized, communicated throughout the process with any questions/concerns and left me with a top notch shed. Very highly recommended!

TrendStar Construction LLC
Trendstar far exceeded our expectations. They did exactly what they said they would, they performed their work very well (without cutting any corners), and they did it in a very timely manner. They didn't consider the job finished until we were completely satisfied. Matt has a great eye for design as well (be sure to ask him for suggestions/ideas). On top of that, you couldn't ask for nicer folks to do business with. The work was performed almost a year ago and all their work has held up very well - we still feel like we're living in a new house

Thomas Glenn Construction
I initially contacted Thomas Glenn Construction for a bid for repairs to my living room, which had visible termite damage to the flooring and baseboards. The living room repairs eventually consisted of removing drywall to assess damage, repairing the framing and drywall, replacing trim including baseboards and window sill, and painting the entire room. All the work in the living room is of first-rate quality, and I am completely satisfied with the job. Thomas Glenn Construction also replaced all of the windows in my house, and the work done on the window replacement is exceptional. The contractor, Tommy Pye, did an outstanding job on the windows, and the cost was very competitive. I would recommend Thomas Glenn Construction without reservation, and I plan to use them again for other projects

Texans Home Improvement
They pressure washed and painted our home and shop prior to roof installation. Very impressed by the paint work that was done. Roofing work was completed in 2 days. Humberto and Art are very professional in their approach and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Overall a very pleasant experience

Gary met and did a complete estimate with what I felt were very prices. He returned a few days later and finished all work completely in less than 1/2 a day. I was very happy with the quality of the work done. No complaints at all -- he and his partner were very easy to work with. Would highly recommend and will definitely use them again

Bay Area Roofers
I'm usually the type that will find a highly rated contractor on Angie's List and pay whatever the cost is. My wife and I have recently become victims of "Hope and Change," losing my job as less people are buying retail items and in smaller quantities. So, for the first time in my life, I employed a bidding process on my house in an effort to save money, however, I'm still a stickler for doing a project right the first time. Needless to say I learned a lot. The criteria I used to qualify bidders is that they had to be located in the greater Houston Area and had to have high marks on Angie's List for quality and price. I found three that had A's in both categories. Of the three, two were very punctual, offering bids the same day. One took two days and a lot of encouragement from our end to get the bid in. (By the way, this wait penalized this company in my mind. The only way they were going to get the bid is if they were considerably lower than the other two because it just didn't seem that they wanted the business). The most important thing I learned through the process is that the bidding process is essential to make sure that your contractor is being truthful with you about the work that needs to be done and so you are not paying double the price for services where you have no experience and consequently, no basis for understanding the pricing. I asked lots of question and even learned that one of the bidders had either lied or did not understand the local qualifications for TWIA certification. Again, so glad we employed the bidding process because I really liked all the guys that came out to bid. Now, let's concentrate on the winning bidder, Bay Area Roofers. I'm 42 years old, and have been a home owner (on my second now) for 16 years. This was, without a doubt, the best experience I have had with a contractor. Out of the many experiences I have had, they are all aces in these areas: ? The quality of the transformation of our home. I truly think ours went from worst to first on our street and we will be receiving complements for a long time. Personally, when I'm outside, I feel like I'm in a new house and it's almost like new car feeling, if you know what I mean. I wish I could post pictures. ? I know I got more than we discussed. First off, I told them not to paint the garage doors or the front doors and to leave me paint so that I could do it. They painted them anyway. I think that it came from some confusion with the painter. I was trying to tell them that I needed X amount of paint to do these chores with, and I walked outside one day to see them doing it. I don't know if it was out of confusion or just an offering a kindness, but they were doing such a good job that I was willing to pay more at the end if that arose. Needless to say, the bid remained the same. I also think they also did more on the door area. They painted the door, they installed new soffit material, which is just as beautiful as it was a surprise to me and then sealed the door area from the weather, as it was not before, and was the only thing I thought they were going to door. Why, they even painted the faux columns on the front. I definitely got way more than we discussed. ? Price. They were the lowest bidder, but that wasn't the reason I chose them, I'll explain that next. The affordability of this project was shocking after receiving the first bid that was twice the amount. Bid number three (the late bidder) came out about $1500 more. Not only did I like the price, but I could tell that they wanted the business as Nathan kept giving me great prices to add things on that I had planned to do myself. He also called several times to see how the bidding process was going. And upsold me about $1,000 from the original bid. ? Finally, "the piece de la resistance." Nathan Riley. Nathan is the reason I selected Bay Area Roofers. Nathan is very knowledgeable. I feel as though he might have done the work himself before. He saw things about my house that I did not realize before and I'm pretty handy and knowledgeable guy. Anyway, He was the one to tell me the actual requirements for TWIA acceptance and upsold me on several things with favorable pricing. The main thing that Nathan does for his company is that he makes people feel comfortable for using their services. It takes a lot to invite strangers into your house, especially if you have small children, like we do. Nathan and his people are welcome anytime. He displays the utmost in professionalism, but remains a humble, approachable guy. He has several qualities as an employee for them, but I don't think I can pay a better compliment that the one I just did. He is a real asset to his company. An aside to Bay Area Roofers,"I don't know what you are paying the guy, but I bet it is not enough." Finally, the work. The siding guys came in and it felt like the house was going to come down, which I'm sure is common. But to their credit, they were in and out as quickly as possible, and they cleaned up nicely. The painters were absolutely fantastic. Franciso and his crew are very skilled. My house is a two story, and at the apex is right at three stories. All the work was done on ladders. Since it is two toned with white trim, there was a lot of "cutting" in. I know that it was not easy all to do. Because of our current financial predicament, I actually entertained thoughts of renting the scaffolding and doing it myself....In hindsight, I'm so glad that I did not.....and so is my back and knees. Bay Area Roofers did such a great, affordable job, it's really hard to explain to you, I wish I could post pictures so that you can see the size and improvements made to my house. I think Nathan said that they used 22 gallons of paint on my house! I highly recommend Bay Area Roofers to to anyone in our area. As I have stated several times, I could not be happier

T & E Home Improvements
So far Troy has done the following: Picked up a new back door from Bison's Building Supply that I ordered, installed the door, installed new hardware, locks, deadbolt, re-did all the outside trim for the door, caulked and painted. Installed a new heavy polycarbonate roofing panels to replace an old rotten patio cover. He found a great new color, that I did not know even existed, an orange/red brick color that matched my house beautifully. He picked up and installed a new storm door and lock for my front door. While he was installing the new storm door, he noticed the doorbell needed to be replaced and did that also. He replaced rotten trim around the front door, painted the new trim and repaired the threshold. Everything he has done has been the finest workmanship. He has had to come out late, on Saturday and Sunday to finish up several things because of my hectic work schedule. He is very accommodating to your work schedule. In the past, I worked for a custom building company for 15 years and I must say, he is someone I would have sent out to do warranty work on million dollar homes. Professional, courtesy and a good work ethic. He takes pride in his work. I still have a few things on my list, however, we must wait until the weather warms up a little. He is very sought after, so be patient if he can't call or email you back the day you submit your request. He will get back within a couple of days. He is worth waiting for, you won't be disappointed. He does a great deal of work for past clients, that says everything. People use him repeatedly and recommend him to neighbors, family and friends. He stays busy ALL THE TIME

Gary is always on time and very trustworthy. I helped moved bedroom furniture and he removed carpet. He then removed the exterior rotted trim around the chimney then went to hardware store and bought supplies. Came back and finished installing new trim and painted. Then took down my entry door that wouldn't close between garage and kitchen. Took it outside and trimmed off the bottom. Removed and replaced weather stripping and reset the door. Then replaced light switches and outlets
Reggie was awesome. He totally went the extra mile with the installation and explaining how everything works. He was professional, yet easy to talk to. Would definitely use him for other handyman work.
Chris Gray was recommended to me by my superb painter. I called Chris who asked me what I needed done and came exactly on time and on the date he said he will, PREPARED with parts and ideas where to get them close by, to do and FINISH the job in the same visit. He has realigned five sets of doors in our house and repaired/replaced gliders on several kitchen cabinets drawers. We have a custom built house and all of our superb woodwork was MADE on site - 23 years ago. Chris was the FIRST carpenter that did all the repair work with LOVING CARE and attention. His work is clean and tidy, highly professional and everything lines up - EXACTLY! Such craftsmanship is very difficult to find nowadays and I would recommend Chris Gray any time. Chris prices his work VERY FAIRLY and is not taking advantage of the customer for his high skills
Gary had told me it would probably take about three weeks to construct. That was not a problem, but it actually only took about two weeks. They removed much of the existing roof as to implement the patio cover into the structure of the house and install hurricaine clips. The brick and roof shingles are a perfect match. Gary, his brother and father were at the house several times a day to oversee every stage of the construction. The workers were very careful to clean up each night as I have four Maltese that need to go out. I have watched several of my neighbors add patios and patio covers to their homes. Unfortunately they are just added onto the house and not integrated into the structure as Gary did with ours
Brandon was very professional and helped us decide how to create what we needed while keeping a natural flow to the house and staying within code on access dimensions etc. He has been very responsive to any email and phone queries and was punctual. There were no cost ovberruns except for additional items that we asked him to do and the price for those was very reasonable. (We had just bought the house, so as we got more familiar with the house we found several small repairs that needed to be done ) The subs that came in were all very professional and courteous and made sure the work area was cleaned up every day. The work has been completed to a high standard. We have been very happy with Brandon's work and would use him again
S & K Remodeling & Handyman Services was founded in April, 2004 under the older fashioned values of my Father. Even on the rare occasions that I might bring in a sub-contractor to fulfil a task, I still take first hand part in each and every job that my customers request of my company. My rates range between $40.00 to $65.00 / hr, depending on where I am going and what task is at hand. My trip charges are never more than $35.00, enough to cover fuel and my estimates are always free. I do not cut corners on any job, simply because I believe in doing the job right / correctly the first time so that my customers are not inconvenienced in haveing to call me back to their homes to correct mistakes. My customers mean everything to me and therefore I believe that customer services are first and foremost on every job

What do customers in Houston say about Interior Trim Installation?
Can I give this company an A+? Far and away this was the best experience I've had with a general contractor. Eric is conscientious, follows through, pays attention to detail, and gets the job done. His crews are professional, on time, and work exceptionally hard. The quality of their work is above reproach. We had an extensive trim project after doing concrete floors. This company did all the workworking, and spray painted the trim and kitchen cabinets for a seamless finish. They retextured and repainted some walls as well to make the house look brand new. Eric was extremely thorough in keeping us on time, on track, and in the loop for any problems that came up. They also did some exterior drainage work to prevent standing water next to our house. My biggest beef? I didn't hire them years ago. HIRE them.
