When flushing the toilet I could hear a bubbling sound from the drain pipe. Eventually bubbles began to come back up from the toilet bowl after flushing. I began to use a drain cleaning maintenance product daily but the bubbling persisted. Twice the toilet bowl would not drain when flushing. This occurred on days when I was watering my lawn. I checked the lawn after this happened the second time and I noticed water pouring out of the ground outside the bathroom. I dug about a inch under the lawn and located the vent cap where the drain water was coming up from. I tied to clear the line there without success. I dug around the lawn until I located the clean out cap about a foot from the vent on the street side. I used the garden hose with the water running to try to clear the drain and went quite a ways until I hit something that would not let the hose pass. I thought It might be roots so I looked up Fresno Plumbing and Heating from Angie's List. I chose them because they were BBB accredited. I called about 11am they said they didn't have anyone available until 3 to 5. They called back at 3 and said the plumber was on the way. He arrived about ten or fifteen minutes later. I showed him the clean-out and up front he said it would be $125. He brought out the power snake. I plugged the extension cord to my front outdoor outlet. He ran almost all of the 100 foot snake before the water began draining. He told me to flush the toilet and run water in the bathtub. It was now draining. He checked the manhole cover in front of my house but found it didn't drain there but somewhere else along the sewer line so we couldn't tell what was blocking the drain pipe. I gave the plumber my 10% Angie's List coupon and the charge was $112.50. He was courteous and polite. The whole thing took about half an hour

The toilet in one of my properties developed a leak in the water supply line and the water valve would not shut off to stem the leak. I contacted my home warranty insurance company (Fidelity) on a Thursday and they arranged for a plumbing company to come out and do the repair. By that Saturday, I was still waiting for a call back from the plumbing company and still hadn't heard from them by noon Tuesday (this, after I left a detailed phone message on Saturday) so I called Fidelity back and let them know I hadn't been contacted to set up an appointment date/time. Fidelity then arranged for another plumbing company to repair the toilet. However, when I arrived at the house on Wednesday morning I was met by a toilet whose small leak turned into a big one with water gushing out of the water supply line. I immediately called the second plumbing company Fidelity had dispatched for the repair and had to leave a message explaining the urgency of the situation. Two hours passed and no one called me back so I again called Fidelity as now the bathroom floor was flooded and water had seeped into the carpeted hall. To make a long story short, Fidelity contacted a third plumbing company, City Plumbing, and about three hours later Ramon and James came to my rescue. It took these gentlemen no more than 30 minutes to replace the water supply line, water turn off valve, and they even replaced the fill valve, flapper and tighten the loose flush handle. Before leaving the house Ramon explained the 60-day warranty provided with the service. Both Ramon and James were not only prompt in diagnosing and completing the toilet repair, they were professional and courteous the entire time. I would recommend City Plumbing to other homeowners and won't hesitate to use them again when needed

3 employees arrived (the owner, his wife, a trainee). I explained the problems with the toilet and shower. They discussed among themselves the different options. They successfully fixed everything. I do have a few concerns. One, I was told I would get an estimate of the cost before they started work, but this did not happen. My bill had one grand total. It was not itemized. I do not know if I was charged for three plumbers or one. I do not know if I was charged by the hour or not. They took the time to teach the trainee and they also had to make a return trip to their shop for a part. Was I charged for that return trip? I do not know the cost of the replacement part. Inspite of all this, I would still recommend this company.
