Ashtree AC & Chimney
1.0
Initially I was satisfied with service. When Ashtree could not safely repair my insert I went ahead and purchased a new one from them. Ashtree contacted with a subcontractor who walked off my job after 1 day leaving the job unfinished. The owner of Ashtree, and the subcontractor are now both putting responsibility back off onto the other party (with me caught in the middle) despite the fact that Ashtree hired the subcontractor and my contract was with them, making them legally responsible. Now the job remains unfinished and neither party can be bothered to come to my home and put up a tarp despite repeated requests that someone do so to help prevent cold air from coming into my home. I'm not upset so much at minor issues with finishing the job as I am the lack of responsibility on the part of both Ashtree, and it's subcontractor and unwillingness to put up a tarp to ease my discomfort in a difficult situation. Such a small gesture refused to ease the discomfort of a customer speaks volumes about how much both I and my business mean to Ashtree AC and chimney. Truly sad

They were great! They laid down tarps so that there was no mess in my house. They were informative, polite, economical, and left my house in the same condition as when they arrived.

AGAPE FIREPLACES & GRILLS

The appointment took about an hour and the tech who is the companies owner was right on time and had all the equipment he needed for the job with him. He explained everything he did and when he got the unit put back together it looked like brand new again. I will be having this maintenance done more frequently in the future as it improves the looks and efficiency of the unit

We were very happy with the end result. We especially appreciated the great attitudes of Tom and his assistant throughout the job. They dealt with everything with humor and good natured talk. When Tom got ready to light the pilot light on the stove he ran into a problem, it wouldn't light! He opened it up and found the problem right away, it was set up for propane instead of gas (it was a floor model we had purchased). He went out to the truck and returned with some different parts and made the change and when he went to light it again it worked like a champ! He displayed no frustration whatsoever. He showed us everything we needed to know about the unit and the remote thermostat. We discovered through conversation that this was just one of the many things his company does. He is a general contractor and can do all kinds of remodels. We will definitely be calling on him for any work we do in the future on our home

Our experience with this service provider was just outstanding. He fixed our doors in nothing flat for a very reasonable price, and referred us to two other service providers who would be more appropriate to the repairs we need than he would. I was VERY impressed by this show of integrity and honesty on his part. I HIGHLY recommend Sierra Construction to anyone in need of home repairs

ENERGY HOUSE
5.0
1989-Purchased a wood burning stove. We lived in that home for 12 years, and recall the stove being serviced twice over the years. 1990-Purchased 12 ceiling fans, including 3 outdoor fans. No service issues on any of them. 1998-Purchased gas fireplace unit for our parents. They love it. No service issues. 2001-Purchased 2 gas fireplace units, 6 ceiling fans. No service issues. Sold with the home in 2003. 2003-Purchased 3 gas fireplace units and 8 ceiling fans for our new home built. We use all of them to this day. 2004-Purchased hot tub - serviced 2 to 3 times over the years, still use today. Always a positive service experience. 2009-Purchased hot tub for 2nd home - never been serviced yet. Works great. Love it. 2011-Purchased a Sun Power solar system through Energy House - Their crew was very professional, courteous and on time. Our utility bills have gone from $500 to $1000 a month, down to $150 to $250 a month after "true up" periods are calculated. It took me awhile to figure out how that works, but we get bills of $25 to $40 a month for gas usage, then one annual bill which sums up the difference of the energy we consumed vs energy produced by our solar panels. Bottom line is the solar system will pay for itself within 5 years. We are very happy with our solar system, and would highly recommend Energy House

A Clean Slate
5.0
The whole experience was great. Mark, the owner, promptly replied to my communications and came out to give us a quote, which was very reasonable and we scheduled an appointment shortly afterwards. We also got a quote from him to restore our shower and our tub/shower. It was significantly more work and they actually remove and replace the caulking, clean the soap scum and hard water off the tiles and glass, etc. This work pushed the cost over our budget so we decided to wait on that part. He came with a team of himself and two others and boy did they work fast and thorough. The made short work of my windows and man did they sparkle. There was heavy hard water stains on most of them when we bought the house a few years ago, so I had never been able to see out of them with much clarity before. It was wonderful! They were so clear it was as if the window wasn't even there when I looked outside. Had I known the cost was so reasonable I would have had the windows done a loooong time ago. The carpets, tile floors, couch, and countertops all came out great as well. You could see the sand sparkle in the almost 30 year old grout on the kitchen countertops, which I thought was amazing and didn't expect. The fireplace came out beautifully. There had been a lot of black staining on the mantle and hearth and they got it all cleaned off. We had a miscommunication that was my fault for assuming and not clarifying. In our bathroom there is tile floor and a tile countertop on a small vanity. When he did the estimate, and went over it before the service, I thought "Guest Bath Tile" would include all the tile, (floor and counter) but I should have made sure rather than assuming. It was my fault. When they were almost finished, I asked about the countertop he said he had just quoted for the floor and I realized the miscommunication had occurred. It was a small countertop and wasn't a huge deal and since I had not clarified during the estimate or when we went over it before the work started, I was fine to leave it undone. However, the woman on his team volunteered to clean the countertop anyway and when I asked Mark to please charge me for the additional work, since it was my mistake, he wouldn't do it. I think that is high quality service that goes above and beyond. I would have been perfectly happy and did not express any displeasure or indicate that I would have been dissatisfied if they didn't clean the countertop, so I don't believe it was "damage control" or anything of the sort. I think they were just showing fantastic customer service. They didn't want me just to be happy and satisfied, but thrilled and impressed, which I am. I am also grateful for the generosity of Mark and his team. This is a great company and I have already recommended them to my sister that needed some cleaning done at her house. Thank you to Mark and your wonderful team (I'm sorry I don't remember their names, but I remember their wonderful work and great attitudes, which was so appreciated)

ENERGY HOUSE
2.0
I had a fireplace insert that was not working. Energy House came here 3 times in one year and each time they charged me $99.00. They never had to do anything, it was just a service call, and it just kept breaking. I had them come back last week. The guy that fixed it was really nice, but the owner, John, he's the one that's not nice. He knew when he made the appointment that the panel on the electric was not working. He still had his guy come out here, charged me $99.00, they actually made me give a credit card over the phone before they ever came, so they could basically charge me. They guy came and he said, why I am I here? I said, well, I told John that you have all the records from the last 2 times, you were just here 6 weeks ago. I said, why didn't you just bring the part, you guys knew what was going on. He said, yeah, there was no reason for me to come out here. He couldn't fix it, it was $850 dollars. And then when we called the office and I spoke to John I said, Why are you charging me $99.00 when you can't fix it and you wasted your guys time and my $99.00. He had my credit card information already, and he charged me. I told him that wasn't right, it wasn't fair, and he said, well I have to pay someone for the service call. Well, he should have never come over here, you already knew it was broken, you knew what was wrong with it, you were just here 2 months ago. He just said, too bad. His guy was really embarrassed. If they would have ordered the part, there was no reason for Casey to come a third time. They should have just told me it was going to cost $850 to fix the panel. They had in their records from 2 months before. The service guy knew what was wrong and he said you are going to have to get a new panel. All the owner had to do was see how much the panel was going to cost and tell me. Not have his guy come over, charge me another $99.00 to tell me it was going to cost $850. He could have said that over the phone. I ended up having to pull the insert out and I just have a regular fireplace now because I am just actually renting the house I am in and the owner didn't want to spend the money. I still was the one that was spending all the money
The representative, Matt Davis, was extremely professional and patient. He listened to our needs and then showed us two or three alternatives for each category of appliance. He clearly knows a lot about appliances and what features to look for.
After I called to request an estimate, the company sent a representative that week. I accepted the estimate on Monday and work began on Wednesday afternoon. The work was finished by early Friday afternoon. I was a wonderful experience throughout. I was thrilled when rain came the next day and there was no flooding, no mud, and no more mess

It went very well. He never varied from his estimate of labor costs and there was only a few extra supplies that needed purchasing after his original materials estimate but that was usually for extra work we asked him to do as the project progressed. There were a few times when we observed things that we preferred another way (such as the color of paint used on the vents) and when they were brought up with him he adjusted very quickly. Much of the work was done while we were on vacation and we trusted Ceaser with the keys to our house. We're very happy with the final result
Technician knew exactly what the problem was and completed the task in a short amount of time. He was very professional. This service is part of a home warranty purchased through Sears. Cost is $40/month to cover a number of appliances (stove, oven, wash/dry, microwave, etc.). In this case, it was $80 to fix the microwave

MY HUSBAND AND I ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE INSTALLATION OF OUR NEW FIREPLACE. THEY WERE VERY DEPENDABLE AND ALWAYS ON TIME. THEY ALSO FINISHED THE JOB ON TIME. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY ONE.

They showed up on time and did a wonderful job custom fitting the surround to size. We are now up to code! No damage to my Laminate flooring either. They also took the time to show me how to take care of the new gas fireplace myself. Thank You
