He did all the repairs and didn't charge me more than the service charge. He did what needed to be done to pass the inspection and told me if it didn't pass to call him back and he would come out and fix it free of charge.He was here when he said he was going to be here and did the repairs in a reasonable amount of time and then was gone. Added refractory lining as far up to reduce heat above the mantel for TV. Added cap and damper, repair flashing on chimney, fixed fire brick in box and installed gas logs. It's been two years with now on yearly sweeps, no problems works great.

They were pretty good. They were the only ones that I could find that would do gas work in the area. The cost to replace was expensive but I had nothing to compare it to. The gentleman that came out was nice. It was not a necessary repair that needed to be done and I have not had the fireplace fixed at this point

The employees arrived at the time they promised. They did a very good job of fixing my fireplace screen so that it now fits the fireplace. It looks great! They also cleaned and swept out the fireplace. They patched up some cracks around the fireplace crown and came back within a few days to seal the mortar. They did a very good job on everything and also gave me pictures showing before and after repairs were made. They always cleaned up after all repairs were finished

Fireplace would not come on when electrical switch was flipped. Texas Air was able to provide someone to come out within two days. Jeff was great, came out and replaced some of the electrical wiring at the switch itself. He also found a slow gas leak and replaced the gas line. Repairs were quickly and professionally done. However, a few days later the fireplace was back to it's old tricks and would not turn on when the electrical switch was fixed. I called and Jeff was able to come out the next morning and repair the electrical wiring at the base of the fireplace, no charge. So far so good. Fast and professional service

He checked both fireplaces in detail and explained to us the things that could go wrong as well as giving us good tips on how to keep it working in a manner so it wouldn't need as much maintenance in the future. Richard came out on time, looked at fireplace and did troubleshooting. He discovered the logs were not ever installed properly and the pilot light was not hitting in the right spot. He cleaned the pilot light so it would produce sufficient power to turn on the gas. He then proceeded to rearrange the fake logs so as to protect the pilot light and keep it working more efficiently. He cleaned the pilot light and got it working rather than trying to sell us a new $350 unit that we did not need. He was very knowledgable about gas fireplaces and took his time to fix all the problems, even to the point of redecorating with extra lava rock and embers which made it look so much better. He was a real joy to work with. They were able to schedule us in quicker than other companies. We will definitely use Bugs and Ashes again

Went really well. Jorge was out immediately for an estimate and said he could fit me in the next day at 8am. At 8am on the dot, two men and an assistant showed up to begin the work. I had torn down half of a two story fireplace wall due to wall ties not being properly secured. I also cleaned the brick beforehand. They set up and finished the wall in approximately 5 hours. I was here observing the entire process and they did everything the way I had asked; the wall contains plenty of wall ties now and all are secured by screws. I had no extra brick, so I was concerned that they would break one but that never happened. I asked if they could fix a corner pop outside when they were finished with the fireplace wall and they said sure not problem. That was done immediately. The wall is straight and the new grout matches the existing grout

We hired Allied Outdoor Solutions to repair our outdoor fireplace and remove an existing flagstone patio. Both had been poorly built by a different company who apparently had no clue how to build a fireplace. They were falling apart. Our visit with Don Norris, project consultant, Carlos Flores, project manager and Jesse the masonry master put us at ease that this project would be done correctly. They were all so polite and easy to work with. All were extremely knowledgeable about the work needed. Carlos kept me updated with every step of the work and is such a pleasant person to work with. We needed the job completed by Memorial Day. The weather continued to work its havoc but Carlos worked his magic and the job was finished on time! Watching the crew start to work each day was a pleasant surprise. They were upbeat and worked so well together. You could tell they had been doing this for a while now and enjoyed working together. They stayed busy and professional. No sitting around on phones and just watching one person do all the work. They laughed and enjoyed their work. You could tell they wanted the job done correct! A complete tear down of the fireplace was needed. We now have a properly built one that they made sure it would look just like the original we had designed. The patio was removed and concrete poured so quickly. Job well done. We had Carvestone applied to the patio and decking around our pool. Very pleased with the final look of the project. Hosea is a color master making the final design just like we wanted. Job well done guys!

We used Hillman Outdoor for a major outdoor covered patio, outdoor kitchen and putting green project. We had initial ideas for the project but Mike Hillman expanded and greatly improved the concept. He brought a myriad of examples from his previous projects so we could see the ideas in practice. His 3D conceptual video brought the project “alive”. Our challenge to Mike was to “make it look like it was part of the original construction” and he met the challenge.....from integrating colors and textures with stone work, woodwork and brick selections. Sergio the stone mason, Carlos the electrician, Ryan the landscaper and Juan the painter were all exceptional craftsmen. Our job foreman Cody was great to work with as well. He was hands on, reliable and easy to reach via text, phone or email. Mike was always available and responsive to addressing any concerns. We were so pleased with the patio project we also used them for a complete kitchen remodel. Mike used an exceptional interior designer to assist with the design, layout, material selection and color coordination. We couldn’t be more pleased and now consider Mike and his team good friends

I had used Cody & Sons in the past and was very satisfied with their prior work. I called for emergency repairs after I had a small house fire that started beneath my gas fireplace due to a gas leak. The Fire Dept suggested that I have a plumber cap off the gas line at the fireplace and turn the gas back on to my house so that I could use my furnace, hot water heater and dryer prior to having permanent repairs made. I called Cody & Sons and the company sent out plumbers within 1-2 hours to make the emergency repairs. The plumbers also advised as to what I needed to do (such as remove concrete fireplace hearth) in order to get a bid to make the permanent gas line repairs to the fireplace. Plumbers turned my gas back on, re-lit the water heater and confirmed that furnace and dryer self-ignited. The three plumbers were professional, completed the work in a timely manner, and cleaned up any debris from the repairs

Got back to me immediately and came out the same day; that was great. The firebrick repair is good and has held up well so far. The issues were with the more minor repairs. The fireplace curtains were hung backwards, and then mortared in place, meaning that I cannot fix this myself and someone else will have to remove the mortar to get it hung correctly. Also, we discussed using masonry screws to fix the loose damper control, but instead it was mortared in place without consultation and looks sloppy as a result. Extra mortar was left on the damper control, and I still haven't gotten it all off. More consultation and neater, more accurate work would have gotten an A
